This place is an excellent stop in on your way somewhere else. Probably one of the best tasting, best priced philly cheese sandwiches I've had. The hole in the wall places always have the best food. The staff was very friendly, they have a surprising variety of drinks, and the food was excellent. They randomly have sobe life water 0 calorie. I also tried one of their burgers from a friend, it was nice and thick, cooked perfectly, succulent and tasty. I noticed their pickles are on point. So random but they use quality pickles in their burgers. They also have a cute map of where people are from that have visited. If you're passing through or even live there, drop by and try it all! We took dinner on our one night stay at Blanding based on good yelp review. It is a small family owned business who takes great care in quality of ingredients. We ordered grilled chicken panini and cheddar melt burger with jalapeño with curly fries. Each item was just perfect. Beef quality was good. Chicken was soft and juicy. The atmosphere is kind of neat for a tourist. The food was fresh and my jalapeño burger was large and the tomatoes good. My wife had a panini that was bland. First let me just say that this is my first yelp review, never felt the urge to review places but this place deserves all the praise it can get. It is the best little burger joint ever...literally. We were in the area for a few days and ended up going back for seconds the day we left. Good burgers and sides; however, ordered two burgers with mushrooms and Swiss cheese and was charged $1.20 extra for vegetables- not ordered- which included the thinnest slices of tomato and onion I've ever seen. Ordered a large side of fries with one of the burgers, but there was zero difference in the amount between the orders. Also asked for a "bunch" of ketchup and barbecue sauce with the order, but was given neither. That being said, the food was tasty, but paid more than expected and was fairly disappointed. read more

I had a turkey wrap with curly fries and a delicious coconut cream pie milkshake (like other folks, their milkshakes are incredible - served with a spoon, because a straw wouldn't work). Fantastic burger joint! The other reviewers that said this place was not good must be on drugs. We went inside to see if they could feed our football team for lunch. The employee called the owner and he was over in a matter of minutes. He worked out a deal for our kids that was within our budget. No chain restaurants would have done this. To say the least, the people were helpful, friendly, and fast. We finished our game, stopped for our food and couldn't have been more impressed. The burgers were huge and juicy! The meat was of great quality and was one of the better burgers I have ever had. Don't get me started on the shakes! Amid the long, hungered faces my family and I waited in the line going out of the door waiting to see what we could order at this cute diner. The cook came bustling around to us all saying "if you order online it goes faster and you don't have to wait in line!" One man in the line asked "where do we order?" The cook replied "order on the website. Patiodiner.com. It's on the sign outside!" We looked outside and the sign was missing letters so it read: oder nine t pat iner.co. That's when we knew something was wrong. We ordered our food online and checked with the lady at the counter. We found our seats and started playing the trivia games at the table. After 7 minutes the cook comes out and asks how long we've been sitting there. When we said about 7 or 10 minutes she exclaimed joyfully "oh then you guys are happy! I don't have to worry about you." Little did we know 50 min later our food would finally be ready after the cook came out 3 more times to check if our order was correct. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but now my family and I have to cross the border to Mexico in the dark and I fear the hour we lost waiting for our food has endangered our lives. Options are limited in blanding. Tried a different place but ended up at patio drive in. Good selection of menu items. Shakes were very popular. Lots of locals there so that is always a good sign. Stopped in to pick up a grilled chicken salad to go. When I got back to my hotel room, I was pleasantly surprised at how bulky the salad was. The grilled chicken had great flavor, and the salad filled me up. I should have tried a burger, but was trying to keep it light. Well, what is there to say about Patio Drive-In? As a local, I feel like it's just always been there. The food quality is great, your choice between curly, regular, and flat fries *totally not called flat fries*. A rich burger with crazy amounts of flavour, and both Coke and Pepsi fountain drinks. Not only that, but it's the only place to get rid of all your milkshake cravings (although only coming in one size now, and being quite small IMO). They do at least have the most flavours in town and are willing to blend whatever you want together. If I ever go to Patio Drive-In, it's for the milkshakes. But that makes it kinda like an expensive Sonic! Which brings us to the next point: price, and this is where all the locals eye's roll. Whether your "Team Cheapo" or "Team Empty Wallet", you can always find someone who'll argue the other side. However I take the first teams side. In order to really get my money, your prices should at least make sense to me. On a side note, the Specials have the best bang for your buck. But whether the food is good or not, I can't give a higher score than 3 stars because I choose not to pay the price/wait time. Which brings us to the wait time. I understand the whole "we are a food establishment remin iscent of a bygone era where the quality of the food meant more to america than how fast it could be served." But if I wanted to wait for awesome food, would I really be going out for a burger? Moreover, I could just go down to the Sidewalk Grill and get similar quality for a cut of the price AND wait time. I usually only go out to eat during my daily lunch break anyways, and every minute of that time is important to me. So I'll just keep going there. For me, 4 Stars would be somewhere I'd eat often. 5 Stars would be somewhere I would be happy to eat at everyday. So I guess 3 would be something like, "Take it out for a spin and see if it's worth it for you." read more
