Very original seasoned curly fries should instead be called seasoned curly wedges. These are also fantastic to add but would go for the onion rings if given the choice. Almost worth splurging for both though. Always love a restaurant that serves quality colas also. You have tons of different flavors of Stubborn sodas on tap to choose from including pineapple creme. The atmosphere is like a traditional diner and even has 4 outdoor tables. I love the cryptic Morris code bell in use. When you order, the waitress rings a bell in different ways which is followed by a order confirmation from the kitchen. My only suggestion for improvements is about the burgers. The burger toppings make the burgers good but the burgers themselves are the frozen Costco style patties, complete with grill marks. The chili burger comes with a whole green chili topped with cheese in addition to beef and bean chili. As I mentioned, the toppings are wonderful. After the long drive from capital reef national park, we decided to grab a burger from here. It wasn't busy when we first got there, we order and got our food within 7 minutes. Then the place got very busy. But we got our food so that's all that mattered. The burger was delicious- can't tell you if it was truly delicious or just the starvation from the long drive made it delicious. But judging by the crowd that arrived after we got our food I have to say that they make a pretty tasty burger. Prices are higher than a fast food joint- but like the signs in the place say it isn't a fast food joint. Burgers weren't greasy and were fresh tasting. I'd eat here again. read more

We had just arrived in town after a long drive and this place got such good reviews we decided to check it out. It was a Saturday night, and busy, so we didn't mind waiting for our food. Their estimate was 40 minutes, and that was pretty spot on. We did get our milkshakes before then, which were delicious, but that is about the end of what was good. We are a family of 5. Ordered 3 burgers, 2 grilled cheese, 2 fries, 1 onion ring, and their loaded chili fries. Literally everything except the onion rings and chili fries were cold. Like, been sitting on a table somewhere for 20 minutes cold. The flavor wasn't bad, but none of us could get past the stale state of it all. Not even half the food was finished before it went in the trash. So we paid $86 and waited 40 minutes for cold food. No thanks. I would much rather they have brought out our order piece by piece if it meant it was actually warm. read more

I hate to say anything negative about any small business. So, firstly, everything else I ordered was wonderful, chicken was a little over cooked/dry, but tasted handmade. Fries, were okay. Our shakes were amazing, this place is nailing its desserts. My only real complaint, is that I am almost certain these burger patties are frozen, the burger I got was soft, mushy, only flavor came from char broil grill. I was really impressed with the place out in the middle of nowhere. My friends and I were driving through Blanding on our way to Dallas and decided to stop for lunch. I ordered the grilled cheese with a side of onion rings, a caramel apple milkshake, and one of their mixed pops for the road. The caramel apple shake was really delicious and the ratio of caramel and apple taste was perfect. The mixed pop was good too. The grilled cheese was a little disappointing. It could definitely have used more cheese, but it was cheap, so that was nice. The flavor of the onion rings was good, but the coating was a little thin for my tastes. Hopefully I won't ever have to make the trek from Portland, OR to Dallas, TX by car again, but if I do, I would definitely stop back by the Patio Drive-In! read more

Wow. The people at the pharmacy recommended this place and they were right on. The Big B is 1/2 pound cheeseburger with great sauce, lengthwise sliced pickels, tomatos, onions and greens. Very good. Jalapeños Burger is 1/3 pound with everything. Yumm. We saw regular fries, thicker cut, and commercial, so went with fresh cut, a thinner cut and just perfect. They have 31 flavors of shakes OR freezes. Sounds like dessert to me. Glad we found this place. read more

Small Town Food, Done Right Blanding is a very small town without many restaurants. While we were there, the only full service restaurant was closed for 6 weeks. That left us with 2 fast-food restaurants, a small Mexican place and a short-order diner. We chose the diner and we were pleasantly surprised. The place is simple and the staff is friendly. We ordered our food at the counter and found a table (some inside and several stacked outside waiting for warmer weather). It wasn't very long before we had a couple of burgers and some fries and a salad. All was delicious--especially the fries and the Big B Burger. The wife got the Houston Burger. It was tasty, but the toast on which it was served crumbled in no time and made eating it a challenge. For dessert we had a couple of their delicious milkshakes. This is the kind of place where people show up and say hi to all the diners that they recognize. It is all very friendly. I'm glad that the full-service restaurant in town was closed for vacation. Yum! Delicious burgers! We've stopped in here a couple of times on drives through Utah. Most recently, we didn't eat lunch until 2pm because my hubby was craving a green chile cheeseburger from Patio. Burgers are grilled not fried and very tasty. I was leery of getting a salad at what is pretty much a burger place but the house salad was quite tasty with no iceberg lettuce included. Burgers are fresh and cooked on the spot (which is why they are a little more expensive than a fast food burger place is) and they have recently added a few vegetarian options to the menu! Best place in town and the management is friendly and easy to get into contact with for any questions or concerns. Also, best shakes ever. Kind of like a McFlurry or a Blizzard from Dairy Queen but waaaaaaaaaaay way better! And absolutely everything is made fresh and on the spot, just like the burgers. The first disclaimer I'll note is that if you're just passing through and live in even a medium-sized city / town, you've probably had better burgers for cheaper prices. That being said, my friends and I hit up this place whenever we're going through Blanding because it's definitely the best place in the region as far as quality goes. They have a pretty good selection of burgers and other sandwiches as well as sides, although they don't really have any vegetarian options; I brought a veggie guy here once and the cook had to get creative with a veggie burrito. Their fries are pretty good (several options to choose from), and the dipping sauce is good (albeit perhaps a knock-off of In-N-Out). Also noteworthy are the shakes, which are really closer to a mound of ice cream until you let it melt a bit; they have a lot of flavors that you can mix and match, which is nice. As far as prices go, it's on the higher end of burger places I've been to, and it's interesting because they have a short statement about how they're not a fast food place, but the quality and ambience don't really reflect that of a nice sit-down place or the prices. Regardless of what they say, it's still much more comparable to an In-N-Out or another fast food chain (albeit with quality product) than any kind of classy burger gastropub. Seating can get cramped when it's busy, but usually you can find a free table. Parking is easy as well. read more

Great surprise for road food! Cute little cafe, sunny and feels very local. The staff were so nice and had huge smiles on, the owners must be great people. I had the chicken wrap which was a little smaller than a chipotle burrito and delicious. Crispy fresh lettuce and tomatoes, great sauce, very well executed! My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and said there isn't a thing he would change, toasted soft french bread, melty cheese, great beef, grilled delicious onions and peppers. The five star experience began when the employees generously opened the restaurant early after seeing my group waiting in our car outside.
