Some sort of error occurred (possibly from transitioning to a new system), and I was told that a manager was going to be charging me nearly five times the price I was quoted. I attempted to have this issue escalated so it could be addressed and fixed, but I was again told that the price I was quoted would not be honored and that it would be nearly quintupled. The front desk employee that I booked my appointment with was clearly doing everything she could to try to escalate the issue for me so that it could be resolved, but an unknown manager was refusing to cooperate. A different manager was made aware of the issue over the weekend and she immediately reached out to me. She was able to resolve the issue very quickly and has thoroughly assured me something like this will not happen again. Other than this issue which has been fully resolved, I have had no negative experiences. Every staff member I have had contact with has been great.

I visited Beckett Ridge Dentistry after an insurance change for what was supposed to be a routine…read morecheckup and cleaning. Instead, I was handed a staggering $3,565 treatment estimate that raised serious concerns about mandatory root planing being pushed, insurance and pricing transparency, and additional treatment recommendations that did not align with my recent dental exam. 1 Root planing pushed as "mandatory." Dr. Paola Castillo Ordonez insisted on $522 root planing and refused to perform a basic cleaning when I declined. After pushback, the doctor briefly said cleaning was possible, but the front desk later refused again unless I agreed. 2 Insurance and professionalism concerns. I was told my insurance cost for crowns would be about $1,600 per tooth and that their in-office rate of $1,200 was "cheaper." However, when I reviewed my insurance plan, the crown codes listed were closer to $500. When I asked which specific code was used for my estimate, as the code shown did not even appear on my insurance schedule and where did the $1,600 figure came from? She told to contact my insurance company myself to find out why the code they used was not showing on my plan. Once I began asking detailed questions, the responses became noticeably uneasy, vague, and deflective. During this exchange, the desk staff member walked away and left me sitting in the dental chair waiting; after receiving no assistance, I had to get up and walk out on my own. 3 Questionable additional treatment recommendations. Recommending significant additional work beyond what was recently evaluated raised serious concerns and felt more like an attempt to upsell services rather than patient-centered care. Due to this experience, I canceled appointments for my entire family of six. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and carefully reviewing any proposed treatment plans here.

It resulted in Bell's palsy- not a single care from the dentist and after he told me "ummm I need to go research this" I knew I was in trouble. Almost a full year and I'm not 100% healed. After he gave me a bs prescription- no more follow ups to see how I'm doing, no further instructions on what to do. Only called to collect money. So I've racked up bills from my PCP, a new dentist and even an ENT just to prove it wasn't caused by my ears. I've racked up THOUSANDS in dentist/medical bills due to their lack of care. DO NOT EVER GO TO TWIN DENTAL!!! Im still being harassed for a $60 payment when they have already collected $400 from me and $500 from my insurance TO PULL ONE TOOTH!! They didnt even give me pain meds, not even a low dose one until i was in so much pain. And instead of calling it to the pharmacy- they told me i had 20 minutes to get it from their office aa they close early on friidays. Never in my life have i ever paid that much for an extraction. Or had a dentist who was etremely nonchalant about what HE had done!!(Even when i didnt have a job/insurance I only paid $160 and the emergency dentist on a friday at 7pm pulled it.) i will however, send them all my bills for the year of follow up ive had to deal with for their mistake. I have included a picture from the day before the procedure - the day of, the day after, a pic when i was being weened off the medication after 6 month of high dose steroids (due to the dentist prescribing a an extreme low dose that did nothing) and two additional pictures from this year 4 months post steroids two more teeth were also shattered due to the steroids and so I was deathly scared of getting those pulled, until this morning. I had no idea that a dentist office could be caring and comforting. But shoutout to Meier dental and Cincinnati oral surgeons for extracting 3 teeth (the two shattered and my last wisdom) under anesthesia, prescribed me a pill before I went in, had antibiotics on order, Tylenol 3 on order for pain. Sent me home with an ice pack and enough gauze to last a life time. My total out of pocket $600. Insane difference. These people took my life from me for almost a year. Due to being on steroids gained ao much water weight I had Charlie horses when I walked!, I also had high blood pressure, pre diabetic along with absolutely no energy and not being able to breathe all due to the side effects of the steroids I had to take to fix what THEY did. SO BEWARE OF TWIN DENTAL. Or at least if you find anything suspicious or wrong speak to a malpractice attorney IMMEDIATELY

It's disappointing to see how personal they take things when that has no place in a professional environment. Every patient deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and cared for -- but this office completely fails at that. Respect works both ways -- in order to receive it, you must also give it. Unfortunately, this staff doesn't seem to understand that. I had a root canal done on Tuesday, then called the next day (Wednesday) to ask if the dentist could also check my chipped tooth while completing my crown procedure on Thursday. That's when I found out my appointment had been canceled -- and not by me. I never canceled my crown appointment, and it makes absolutely no sense to cancel it when I just had a root canal. When I asked who canceled it, no one knew. The front desk lady showed zero care or concern and acted like the situation didn't matter. The level of unprofessionalism is shocking. On top of the poor attitudes, the cleanliness of this location is completely unacceptable. The rooms are filthy, the floors look like they haven't been mopped, and I honestly question if their tools and equipment are even being sanitized properly. For a dental office, this level of hygiene is disturbing and unsafe. I have decided to take my crown procedure elsewhere -- to a more professional dental office that actually values patients and maintains a clean, welcoming environment. Aspen Dental has completely lost my trust as a patient. Someone from the corporate or franchise office seriously needs to step in and take a hard look at this location. From the lack of professionalism to the poor sanitation and careless communication, this office is a mess. I would not recommend this Aspen Dental to anyone -- save yourself the headache and go somewhere that truly cares about your health and time. Make sure you double-check that Aspen Dental actually canceled your appointment if you no longer want any services from them. They'll tell you it's canceled, but in reality, they often don't follow through -- which feels sneaky, because it means they can still get paid for active appointments. I even have a recording of the manager confirming that my appointment was canceled, the refund amount that should appear in my account, and that I wouldn't be billed for anything else. So if they don't follow through and I end up getting an unexpected bill for a procedure I never even received, I'll be suing Aspen Dental!
