My first concern was my very first appointment. I specifically called to schedule a cleaning and exam and was told that would not be a problem. I was under the impression I would be receiving both that day and was disappointed when I only received an exam. I was later told that my cleaning would be done after all of my dental work had been completed. My appointment was scheduled close to lunchtime, so perhaps the hygienist was simply running behind. I really do not know. If that was the case, a simple explanation and an offer to reschedule my cleaning would have been more than enough. In my experience, most dental offices clean the patient first and then complete any necessary treatment unless the patient is in pain, requires immediate care, or declines a cleaning. Although I was disappointed, I was still willing to move forward with the recommended treatment. During my exam, I was told I needed several fillings and a root canal with a crown on my lower back molar. I was willing to move forward with that treatment. I was also told that a small chip on my front tooth was not worth fixing, despite it being a cosmetic concern of mine. Two weeks later, I returned for what would have been my very first root canal. I was visibly experiencing a great deal of dental anxiety and never even took my coat off. Looking back, I did not communicate that anxiety very well, and I am sure some of it came across as confusion and hesitation. I was asking questions when I was met with impatience and asked, "Are we going to do this today or not?" She stepped out briefly and returned less than a minute later to tell me that I was dismissed and free to leave. I was shocked and completely caught off guard. I did not argue, yell, curse, or become aggressive. I simply removed the patient bib and walked out. I have never been dismissed from any office in my life. After being dismissed, I walked back into the office because I genuinely wanted to understand what had gone wrong. I politely asked for an explanation and was simply told that I was free to find another provider. What continues to surprise me is that I never spoke to the dentist that day. He never came into the room. Had he simply taken a few moments to speak with me directly, it may have changed the entire outcome. Instead, I received a dismissal letter in the mail three days later that had been mailed the very same day. Ironically, what felt so upsetting at the time ultimately worked out in my favor. Since then, I sought a second opinion. I have had my cleaning completed, all of my dental work done, my front tooth repaired, and I did not need the root canal I was originally told I needed. The second office also diagnosed two additional cavities that were missed. Six weeks later, I am doing very well. In hindsight, being dismissed was one of the greatest blessings in disguise. Everything ultimately worked out for my good, and for that I am grateful. Sometimes asking lots of questions is not defiance. Sometimes it is simply fear. Patients deserve compassion in those moments. Ironically, this office did me a favor by dismissing me, so I suppose the only thing left to say is thank you.

Dr. Fattahi has a great chairside manner and is very caring, and he listens to you. The staff are all very professional and make you feel comfortable. I've been at this office probably six times to date, and I am always called in for my appointment exactly on time. Never any wait, or delay, or overbooking. That is so important. The clerical staff are extremely helpful in sorting out the insurance, determining the best plan of action and timing of appointments. And everyone is cheerful and friendly. I highly recommend Hamilton Dental.

Them, investing in a simple $400 3D scanner would possibly avoid a lot of trouble…read more We were wanting to come in for the 2nd, accurate, set of dentures. It turns out the first set was *supposed* to be accurate (which it was a million miles away from). She had a small amount of large, cute, adorable teeth. What they gave us have many, many, tiny teeth. We assumed that when we got the second pair, those would be made off of the expensive molds - because obviously these weren't. These look like they came out of a 25 cent costume teeth vending machine. They've already destroyed the molds we paid hundreds and hundreds to have made. To make things more wrong, the visits my wife made to get them to (hopefully) remedy their bad work, we were charged for. Now after we've gathered photos from friends and family - we are 100% convinced they gave her the wrong set. It has been a while since they were first made, they did a bit of victim-blaming there - my wife has been in and out of the hospital a lot since the dental procedure. We've been spending these last weeks assessing all of the harm done by having gone to Hamilton Dental Group, collecting photos, bills, etc. She lost a lot of blood after the surgery, in part because the dentures were supposed to serve as a sort of bandage after surgery. Having ones that didn't remotely fit contributed to her bleeding out and being in the hospital for transfusions a while. She is still working her way up to normal since then. Anyway - we're well-over $13,000 in. All we got out of it was a lot of fear, pain, hospital time and after all this time my wife's health is still suffering as a result of having nothing to eat with. Sick they charged her for attempted fixes, worse they have even offered a refund. They have done a hundred times that in harm so far.
