First of all our our server was amazing and very understanding and polite now for the fun part. 1.) My friend asked for a virgin strawberry mojito because he is celebrating his 11 months sober, the manager who made the drink rather than the bartender made it with alcohol and he was not informed of it which led to him taking a big sip sending him on a panic. There was no apology and no appearance from the manager when we let the server know. 2.) My other friend asked for a rare steak which came out Blue. He asked if they could take it back and let it sit on the grill a little longer to which the manager Kelly finally came out to SCOLD him for asking to have the steak be cooked a little longer. She raised her voice, kept telling him what was rare and what was not and when it finally came back out she said, "That's medium rare," to which we all look in amazement at the fact that it clearly was rare not medium. In the photo below it's the stake after it came out and Kelly practically shouted at him arguing that it was median rare. 3.) The waitress was filling our drink and it spilled and it went on our food that had just come out and she was quick to help us out which we do not blame her because the whole ordeal of the not had been pretty horrible. She was so understanding and took off the food that was spilled on and even our appetizers. My first time here though I've lived in the area a few years. My gf said they have excellent burgers and I called and they still have $5 burgers on Mondays so we went. Was not disappointed! The server was a bit gruff for my taste, and it seemed to take a long time for the food to arrive (it was like 2:30 pm on a Monday and there was hardly anyone there). Had the teriyaki bowl meal and yankee pot roast. The bowl was not bad, a little overcooked on the chicken. The yankee pot roast was was tough and did not seem like it was made fresh. The server said it was fork tender however I could hardly cut it with the knife. Overall an average meal . Maybe Covid and/or lack of staffing is the reason....but it's getting old that restaurants have one server working so many tables. Our server was nice and was running around but you can tell she has too much going on. Didn't get any drink refills and only one walk by our table in 30 mins. If this is the new normal than forget everything I wrote. Just wish these places would realize that average service and average food may allow you to survive....but it doesn't engender repeat business or 5 star reviews. Ate here for the second time with a party of 4. We were basically here for Burger Night--regular burgers are only 5 bucks on Monday, an excellent bargain. The burgers were excellent and properly cooked. Also had a piece of chocolate mousse pie for dessert--Yummy ! Service was prompt and attentive. It was St Patrick weekend so what better place to stop for "Happy Hour" than this long-running hang-out that had an outside patio, with a sizable indoor bar and dining room serving burgers, sandwiches & other pub like food named St Patrick. What I found not appealing was the "Happy Hour" well drinks. The first thing was the odd pricing of the well drinks "up", with ice or just Well. I have no idea what that was about. Also the well drinks that were in ice, tasted like flavored water. And when I brought it up to our waiter, it was pleasantly brushed off his shoulder. Well that was okay since we weren't there to necessarily drink, but I would probably avoid this restaurant in the future for "Happy Hour". I went for a Friday happy hour. This place was flowing with people. The bar area had happy hour until 7 so we opted in to sit there. The happy hour menu had a decent amount of drinks and food items. It took a few minutes to be waited on. No biggie since we snuck to the bar area. Once the server saw us he was pretty great. He made recommendations of his favorite items. The food was mediocre. Fries cold. Chicken Parmesan sliders were bland. The Thai pizza tasted had such a heavy mayo based sauce that it's all you could taste. Overall I think this is a good after work happy hour spot. The only thing that stops me giving a 5 star review is that I did not like the sweet potato fries. They were a little on the hard side -- almost like they hadn't been cooked for long enough. When to Patrick's on a Monday night a few weeks ago with about 35 people with the Meetup - Red State Revival. It was as a delightful night all the way around. I had a cheeseburger, as did most of my new friends, and it was superb. I ordered it medium rare and and it was bursting with flavor and very juicy. The fries were perfect although I couldn't eat them all. I used to go to the old Patrick's back in the day when it was Michael Jordan's favorite hangout, He was playing for the White Sox in Spring training. Great memories of 23 years ago. This is a tough one for me because I actually enjoyed the food here but the service was so terrible it really ruined the whole meal for me. My date and I came around late afternoon on a Sunday. The outside was 50% filled, but there were only 3 tables on the inside with us. We had a very simple order water, salad, steak tips, and Fries. How it took over 40 minutes to get these items is beyond me. How it took 30 for our waiter to even realize there was an issue is another story. The manager explained that the freezer was locked and they couldn't get the fries. The fries were locked in a freezer and no one cared enough to figure out a solutions Because of this they just paused our entire ticket until someone could figure out how to open the freezer. If our waiter came to us and said they were having issues and asked us to pick another side we would have gladly done so. However our waiter, the kitchen, and the manager just let time Tick by without considering their customers need. When the manager came over I was absolutely startled to see that she was not wearing a mask! She apologized for the fry-gate, but I wanted her to get away from me as quickly as possible so I just nodded and prayed she would leave quickly. I felt so uncomfortable and we should have walked out then and there, but our hunger for the best of us and we stayed. Nice place, good home style meals in the way of pot roast and meatloaf dinners that were very good. Nice prices.
