Killen's never disappoints…read more Their beef ribs were just short of amazing. Juicy, succulent, tender. For a giant piece of meat on the bone, they worked wonders. You can ask to see the piece of rib before they cut it for you and they will happily oblige (patrons behind you might not be so thrilled with that move, but they'll live). Sides were excellent as were the mashed potatoes with white gravy on the side, green beans that were just tender enough, but also a bit crunchy. Perfect. They were seasoned with pork, so if that's not your thing, you might want to skip it. We also ordered their shareable onion rings, easily enough for three people that were huge, hot, and crispy. Let's get this out of the way, some of their prices are a little up there, but if you're anything like me, and don't frequent BBQ places often, it's a rare but enjoyable treat. Sometimes you have to splurge and live a little. Also, they have their regular sauce on tables, but you now have to ask the cashier for their sublime coffee BBQ sauce. Don't be shy, ask. It's worth it. Oh, pro tip: If you want beef ribs, the 'plate' is actually cheaper and a better deal than 'by the pound', so save a little money and get two sides.

The review is more for the service has taken a hit since our last visit. We don't leave a review every time but felt that the slip deserves an update. Was not very busy compared to what I consider the norm here but there was weak communication at the order line. Some of our food was not ordered even though I heard the first guy call it out. The people that handle the sides were soft spoken and mumbling. And the tip culture . I walk thru the line, carry my own food, get my own drinks, clean up afterwards and you suggest a 20% tip at checkout??? Yall can program these payment terminals any way you want. Killen's pay your employees and stop expecting the customer to pay them.

So far I've only had the doubles (sort of like chickpea tacos - chickpea shell and curried chickpea filling) and daal. The daal, such flavor. Tomorrow I'm going to hit it again and ask them for a triple or quadruple serving of the daal, and try the chicken curry. Such a solid addition to Galveston's food scene.

We've never even tried curry so the owner gave us some very tasty samples and we were happy to order what he suggested. We sat down and he personally brought us every plate as it came out. THE FOOD!! Very healthy portions and really fresh. The flavor was like something I've never experienced before. I usually am particular about trying new foods, but everything we tried made me clap my hands and do a little dance. I had to stop and talk to the chef and tell her how amazing our experience was. I will recommend this place the next time anyone asks me where they should go for a nice hearty lunch that they can still feel good walking away from.

Got the cheezo peach tea (blended); super refreshing! Tried the ube horchata and it was ok; could barely taste the ube flavor. Now... the ube creme brulee tiger sugar milk however was actually super delicious!! VERY similar to a drink at my fave boba place in Katy Asia Town! Was surprised the macarons here were reasonably priced ($2 each). Got matcha, pistachio, ube, coffee, and cookies & cream flavor; all were excellent! I would come back and highly recommend this place!

Plenty of parking spaces! i really miss my Macarons from a local asian bakery place on broadway that unfortunately closed down...so i've been on a hunt for macarons. These macarons fell short of my expectations. The macarons fell apart when you bite into it. not chewy but crunchy and hollow inside of shell. shells look pretty but overall a bit too sweet. Fruit drinks are made with syrup concentrate. can barely taste the green tea in the Red dragon Attraction. boba is surprisingly delicious, soft and chewy brown sugar flavor. i will prob add more green tea when i get home bc it's too sweet for me. There's no extra sweetener added but bc of the dragonfruit concentrate is super sweet, it attributes to the sweetness level, but if i do it less sweet, then the dragonfruit concentrate will be less. Maybe they should consider using less concentrate and add frozen or freeze dried dragon fruit pieces to achieve the desired taste and color. Service was great! The two girls there were super nice. I did the buy 2 get 1 free. my other two drinks are Vietnamese Ice coffee and Lychee Green tea! No toppings since i'll drink it later. Nice clean quiet space. a few chairs and tables inside. Other offers are street snacks such as popcorn chicken or corn. There are discounts if you get a drink and hot snack item. it's a bit on the higher side as far as food pricing goes. Overall, i may try it again or may not since i don't live close by,
