Readers, please note that I almost never give 5-star reviews. I only just met Brian yesterday and haven't had enough contact to know if I'd agree with the previous 5-star reviewers. Maybe I would, in time. (Sorry to ruin your streak, Brian!) My mom and I were worried about her 2014 tax returns. We had questions and concerns about how they were done by the company she used -- and that they were filed late! -- and found it hard to communicate with the firm and get straight answers. Brian provided those answers and clearly explained what we needed to do from this point forward. He was very patient with our ignorance and irrelevant chatter (my mom tends to digress quite a bit ... and I guess I do too). Didn't hustle us out when we ran a little bit over our hour. We left feeling reassured. Parking in the area is mighty pricey, and getting to Brian's office with an elderly person who doesn't walk so well was a small challenge. There's a CTA station entrance right in his building, so for transit users the trip is a snap; for us it was a bit of an adventure. As I write this, Brian's Yelp entry doesn't give a floor or suite number (he probably has a web site that gives it, but I didn't look). He's not listed in his building's directory, either! If you make an appointment, do note that his office is on the 21st floor! Very nice, knowledgeable fellow. I would feel quite comfortable if my mom became one of his regular clients. read more
