I woke up and of course there was no Uber driver in sight. I tried Lyft too, nothing. I was going to miss my flight and was even looking into changing my flight to a later time in the day but I thought, "maybe there's a shuttle car service here", so l googled and Neil popped up. Their website said "call or text" so I figured I would just text the number. Neil personally got back to me immediately at 4 in the morning. He said he could be at my airbnb in 9 min and he showed up early! He quoted me a great price and was the only person in Stowe who could have and would have taken me to the airport. He made sure I got to the airport on time and now I'm writing this review from the airport terminal drinking coffee because of how quickly he got me to the airport! Neil saved my morning and allowed me to not miss my flight to get back home for my son's birthday today. Neile is the only one who lives in Stowe that could get me anywhere at last minute. Everyone else is at least 30 minutes to an hour away. Neil is really someone who anyone can depend on. Without question, do not book an Uber or Lyft, call or text Neil and he and his team will 100% be there for you!

Every other small business involved in our trip, four hotels, Airbnbs, our Turo car rental, and the airlines, provided full refunds or credits. The Old Stagecoach Inn was the only one that refused to offer any flexibility, citing that severe weather is a "foreseeable" risk and that I should have purchased trip insurance. I understand small businesses rely on reservations, but the response from management felt unnecessarilyj rigid and dismissive, especially compared to the empathy shown by other small, family owned Vermont inns. Given how the situation was handled, I would not stay here or recommend it to others. P.S. We don't think extreme weather is "foreseeable" since we had been checking the weather up to a week prior.

One thing to note: every room is different in terms of size, so make sure you know what you're signing up for -- some of them have shared bathrooms (which was fine for us, and we had no issues with other rooms hogging the bathroom). We stayed here for our recent ski trip to Stowe and it was perfect--only 25 minutes from the resort and walkable to restaurants in the Waterbury area. And the breakfast was incredible! It's also right in the center of everything so you can walk to restaurants and the walking/biking trail is right in the back.

She then went above and beyond, handling the catering details with the sales manager at the resort, finding me a wedding coordinator to handle decorations and make sure the event ran smoothly, and booked us a group excursion for our party. She also handled the travel plans for all of our guests and never once skipped a beat. I truly could not have pulled all of this together without Denise and am thrilled that I found her. She really took away the stress of planning a wedding 3,000 miles away in a location that I had never been to. She is truly an expert in her field. With all of the electronic options to booking your own travel now, using travel agents has become less common. The big thing that most people are missing is that travel agents are experts that can advise you and make sure that you stay in a good place, area, etc. and can also step in to save the say when the unexpected happens (example: your flight gets canceled and you need a last minute hotel in an unknown city, etc). These services don't cost the customer a cent because travel agents are paid their commissions by the venues/tour companies - why not take advantage of the expertise, help, and service? I whole-heartedly recommend Denise and her services to everyone looking to travel - she can handle it all from business trips, couples' getaways and once in a lifetime events.

Sue Holmes (inn keeper) and her husband Todd are warm folks with great souls. They have done a wonderful job of restoring the home and its Victorian elegance. You'll find a total of 3 guests rooms, so no worries about a crowd. Sue also opens her home to local leaders of message, yoga, and meditation sessions. The inn is located on a hill near the village center and provides opportunities for walking down to Galaxy book store and other small shops or a walk through the country on a dirt road.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The room was beautiful and so very comfortable. Deborah & Peter really engaged with us, took an interest and made time to discuss our plans and offer recommendations. Pretty quickly we felt as though we had a home away from home. We had everything we needed and the breakfast was splendid. We had our own private space, with everything we could need (including an amazing bathroom), but also had opportunity to meet with other guests which made the stay even more memorable. We already know we will be going back - like a number of regular guests Deborah & Peter have. They clearly love hosting guests, and it really shows in what they offer.
