It was better than a recent experience I had at an urgent care in Columbia. Staff were way more efficient! It is also conveniently located right across from a CVS. The front desk was great , however, this Dr Tak Abdul that was on call was having a bad day or something because he wanted to hear nothing nor try to understand us. Just another human I guess. Came in for an asthma attack treatment because I had a doctors appointment the next day. He gave one treatment and I asked for another he basically said no, because he wanted me go to the hospital and I was when I go to my original doctors appointment the next day if that's the request we will go. He didn't want to hear that so he basically kicked us out staying because you don't want to go to the hospital I am not giving you any prescriptions nor any other treatment. My daughter had an appointment at 10:40. They took her back at 11:00. I texted her at 11:35 and they had taken strep, covid, and flu tests. They still had not gotten back to her by 11:45 ... the waiting room was empty and people had been leaving after having gotten care. So, I asked the front desk ... "she hasn't been forgotten, has she?" ... "oh no" Another ten minutes passed and when I asked again, "oh, the doctor is back with her now".... Did the wait until I asked what was going on? She was released at 12:10 -- with a prescription -- and mentioned that they had questioned whether she had sepsis because her heart rate was elevated. SO, I get to the pharmacy at 12:33 -- after dropping her home so she could lie down -- and THEY'VE JUST GOTTEN THE RX????? How long did it take them to send that in? Advice for all -- ALWAYS pop out after 20 minutes to make sure you haven't been forgotten and ALWAYS make sure they've sent your RX BEFORE YOU LEAVE..... Absolutely ridiculous.... read more

Since this clinic has been re-branded as patriot urgent care, the quality of care has gone down drastically. The front desk staff at the Germantown location were rude and lazy. I tried calling to obtain some information and to possibly scheduled a sick appointment. I called three times in a row. No one ever picked up went straight to the automatic line. So I drove over I waited in line to register. I watched the phone ring and I watched the front desk staff a woman named Amy ignore the phone. What was she doing? She was on her cell phone. When I called her out on why she didn't pick up the phone she said I'm busy, but there was only two people in the clinic myself and someone there for an employee physical. I proceeded to register for an appointment only to have her ask me to place a credit card on hold. I told her I was uncomfortable with that as I have health insurance and that patriot urgent care is in network. I don't have a co-pay. She insisted I need to have a credit card on file. Last time she didn't get a credit card on Adventist healthcare employee she was disciplined for it. I told her answering the phone is also part of her job, had she answered it I would not have wasted time. Unless your employer sends you there avoid this place read more

I visited the Germantown location on Thanksgiving day. I was pleased to see that they were open, and seemed not to be too busy. However it took a very long time to get checked-in. The check-in person was talking on the phone during the entire process, and I could hear her continuing to talk on the phone the entire time I was waiting to be seen. The rest of the visit went well, but could have been a quicker visit, had I not had to spend 20 minutes at check-in. read more

I took my 4 yr old son to this urgent care for a fever. The nurse practitioner and medical assistant were kind, gentle, and caring, which I truly appreciated. They did swabs for flu, COVID, and RSV and said we'd get the results soon. Unfortunately, we didn't hear back until six days later, only to be told the samples were lost. I called multiple times during the week and was met with attitude and a lack of concern from the front desk and charge nurse. The delay and poor communication were very frustrating, especially since my son was sick and we got no helpful info from the visit. Thankfully, he got better on his own, but I was very disappointed with the experience overall. read more

I went there for a Covid test, strep and flu test because I was feeling badly and had symptoms. They came back and swabbed my nose (not well) and said it was different now and the nose swab dies have to be fine like it used to be. Maya came back in 10 minutes (it should have taken 15 to determine this) and said all tests are negative. I felt badly, I asked her for a PCR test. The guy comes back swabs again. I got only a receipt nothing saying what I had done or the results. I call back on Monday (went in Sunday afternoon). They tell me I should have gotten that info. I did not. Further, the next day the pcr test was "still there" Monday at 11 am. Said they would pick it up at 2;00 Monday afternoon. Said they had no paperwork. I still have none. I doubt sent if these tests were ever done. I get a call from the Frederick patriot care. Call back. They don't know why I got a call. Tell me yo call Germantown. Of course I can get a hold of no one so I have to leave a message. Tell them to call me. It is now Wednesday and I've heard nothing about my PCR test. So I leave a message telling them all of this and I've never to date received a call back! Tomorrow is Thursday. I could be dead of Covid, but the time someone gets back to me and do not charge me or my credit card for any of these tests that I have no paperwork for or results of or I'm going take legal action against you. This is the worst place I've ever been don't go there if you want help. They give me no proof that they've done any test at all after 10 minutes. They tell me all my tests are negative. Give me no information in writing. I have heard nothing about the PCR test, which I'm sure they never really did and I came there Sunday at 1 o'clock and tomorrow's Thursday. No one has called me back from the messages I got. Shame on you all for even being there and pretending to be a legitimate place. BTW, I went to another urgent care and had the opposite experience. All good at urgent care NOT PATRIOT urgent care. Stay away!!! read more

I work for Adventist and have been coming to this Urgent care for years. It really has gone down since it was rebranded under Patriot. Had my first set of Prescriptions sent to the wrong Pharmacy by the provider Amra Nasir, MD. I saw that it wasn't my first requested Pharmacy and noticed the PCT/MT who said she would not reprint another form but will get it sent to my actual pharmacy. While waiting for my Uber, I called the Pharmacy and they happened to be closed on Black Friday. I asked the front desk if they can resend the prescription for non controlled medications back to the other Pharmacy that I confirmed was open. She said she will see what she can do. I notified her I was leaving. I then get to the Pharmacy and they haven't received the prescription. I call Patriot and the secretary talks to the MD who said she will not send it to that Pharmacy and that I need to pick up hand written prescriptions. I then have to get another Uber back to Patriot to get these hand written scripts for non controlled meds. This is the biggest power trip I have seen from a provider that has heavily impacted the patient. It's too bad when provider attitude effects surveys. read more

The staff was very pleasant, and the doctor *seemed* knowledgable. However, Patriot Urgent Care didn't really address the health issue that I was dealing with. (I ended up the ER shortly after this visit--at the urging of my primary care doctor, not Patriot.) They ran some tests, I was offered some useless advice--in short, the visit was a waste of time. Additionally, even with insurance, I ended up having to pay a couple of hundred dollars for the tests that had nothing to do with my medical problems! Upon walking in, I was told even with an appointment it would be a 30-45min wait. My appointment was for 6:28, but now it is 8pm and I have not been seen. They're supposed to close at 8. The wait time even with an appointment is ridiculous! It is not even busy at all. Appointment was at 3pm and it is now 3:50. Still waiting. I asked the front desk if this was the normal wait time for those that have an appointment. She said yes it is because there were other people before us. That's comical. This is the worst experience ever I came in to get my TB test done but with misinterpretation of information from the nurse I missed my appointment with the reading of the test and was asked to redo and pay again for the test to be done . Really poor service. They initially incorrectly diagnosed Strep throat then days later called me back to say they had it wrong. So they called in a new Rx, but it was to an unfamiliar one way across town, not the one I requested. They were impossible to get back on the phone again to correct it, so I figured it would be just easier to drive an hour than continue waiting on hold for two. Their Urgent care isn't urgent at all, just incompetent, uncaring, bumbling, fools not worth trusting my health to. read more

I visited Patriot Urgent Care in Germantown, MD to potentially get an x-ray done. They recently changed ownership. This location used to be awesome. It is a diminished experience now that there is new management. I made an appointment since I had to be at my kids swim meet later in the day. I arrived early. There were two people in the waiting room. I filled out registration information on my phone (the Target/CVS pharmacy at the Milestone Center was missing). The receptionist asked a few questions and typed the answers while looking inordinately bored. After about 20 minutes, they brought me to the back and took my vitals. I was asked which pharmacy I used. I told her. She told me it didn't exist. I had to bring it up on my phone before she believed me. Then she left. I listened to the staff chit chatting out in the hall. An hour and ten minutes after my appointment time--an hour and a half after arrival--I walked out in the hall and asked if there was a less busy time at which I should return. One of the staff looked irritated and said, "She didn't know." I asked if there was a lot going on at the moment. She looked bored and said yes, that there may have been a lot of walk-ins ahead of me. I couldn't tell if she was serious or was just being passive aggressive. She said it would probably be busier later. I waited another 10 minutes before stopping by the receptionist desk and asking her to cancel my appointment since I would not be returning. She just looked at me until I left. There are other urgent cares in the area. Avoid this one. read more

Absolutely Horrible I went to this Urgent Care facility first thing Monday morning. I was in a lot of pain and conveyed that I had pain running from my neck all the way down my right side. Without taking a X-ray, the doctor said it was a pinched nerve and prescribed two medications. That sounded reasonable to me. I quickly picked up the prescriptions and started taking them, but had little relief. I called a chiropractor to get an urgent appointment the same day, as I googled and learned that an adjustment could help with a pinched nerve. It did help, more so than the meds, but I was still experiencing discomfort so I didn't go into work on Tuesday. By Tuesday night, I had pain in my chest which got progressively worse overnight so I went to the ER on Wednesday morning. After they took an X-ray, they discovered something concerning in my chest. Well, I called Patriot simply to request a note for missed days (Monday and Tuesday) to provide to my Employer. After being transferred to a doctor, for what I thought was a simple request, she began to yell and talk over me, saying "I wasn't even the doctor who saw you. Let the emergency room give you a note to cover the two days. " I wasn't pointing out the fact that Patriot didn't take an x-ray, so there was no need to CYA. She asked what happened since I left. I eventually said after she kept making excuses, "'Ma'am, it doesn't sound like you're trying to help me. It sounds like you're yelling. I'll take care of it. Goodbye." read more

Excellent care facility. I broke my hand the day before Christmas Eve and traveled here for an x-ray. Amazingly, the wait time was not bad. The providers worked quickly, showed me the x-ray outcome, and involved me in the care plan. My case was somewhat complicated due to the timing of the incident. Ultimately, they recommended that I visit the ER kiddy-corner to this facility, which typically has a good orthopedic surgeon on staff, in the event that orthopedic outpatient clinics were closed for the holiday. They discharged me quickly -- giving me a CD with my x-rays on it -- which allowed me to get to the ER during regular hours. The only issue I had after the fact was that the timestamp on the x-rays was 5 years earlier than my treatment date, which rendered my first set of x-rays unusable at the ER. read more

I called to make an appointment so I would not have to wait but no one answered, no one ever answers the phone. I went in to do some things required by my new job and the office was practically empty but still had to wait half an hour. I brought a document with me that clearly stated the two things I needed done, my nurse did not pay attention and only did one test. When I pointed out the other test she laughed and said "I did not see that," I had to provide my ID for this test and it was until three days later I realized she NEVER RETURNED MY ID! After the second test was done I left and three days later I got a call from them and said "we never tested your blood," meaning they took my blood for NO REASON the first time and needed me to come again? They never picked up when I called nor call me to let me know my ID was in their possession. A few hours later they called me back to lmk. The next day I went in to do my blood test again, waited another half hour in the lobby and then waited again in the room for the nurse to come take out blood for my test. The nurse who took my blood left my arm with a giant, painful bruise. Other than that... they were nice. The following week I got a call for my new job saying I would not be able to start the next day because they had NOT RECEIVED my results from the clinic. I informed them I had done my test TWICE now, they said they would call the office themselves to let them know my results. After the second test the nurse assured me that they would send it to the labs this time but I guess that did not include sending the results to my job, for whom they which had a referral from. I have not been the their other locations but this one seems unorganized. Have to have your A game working in the medical systems. read more

I've tried this place twice and unfortunately both times were terrible. On a Saturday I went in because I had sever pain in my finger. It was swollen and purple. After taking my co-pay and waiting for a bit they informed me they had no x-ray tech on site. On a Saturday? Although that should have been communicated immediately when someone has a possible bone fracture, I figured ok well things happen so they refunded my co-pay and I went elsewhere. Today, I walked in knowing I have an ear infection. Waited in line (no one else was in line) and the receptionist didn't acknowledge me at all. After waiting for about 20 minutes I gave up and left. I'll never return. Management needs to go in and fix the customer service issues and lack of professionalism from the front desk staff. read more

When inquired about it, i was told "this is an urgent care, so there are other people taking care urgently." So does this mean that my concern isn't urgent, why else would i show up there?! Only one doctor and one nurse and that's suppose to be why I'm having to wait 2 hrs with an appointment! Excellent place to visit when needed. Needed some help with hurt elbow last week and they had Sunday 8 am hours that they opened. Staff was polite and helpful. When you begin they have everything easy for the patient to fill out, and the wait time is reasonable for what I was experiencing. I had to get X-rays and the some things for my elbow. The people here are sooooo rude and their protocalls are horrible!! Took my kid in to be seen and the receptionist is non chalant and uncaring. Furthermore the nurse told me that either my wife or I (not both of us could come back) with our son. The nurse was rude and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was impolitely informed that there is not one in the building and when I asked to speak with one on the phone I was told that there is no gaurentee that one would be available to pick up the phone to speak with me regarding my complaint. Additionally, when I called last week because I was ill and needed to be seen the person who answered the phone was extremely rude!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!! my bf spent an hour waiting to be seen (with an appointment) and only to be met with a rude, dismissive, and unhelpful PA. they took all of 2 minutes to see him. he's got bad chest pains and cough from the flu so he asked for some codeine cough syrup and she just told him absolutely not without any sort of explanation or room for discussion of other options. he told me it made him feel as if he was being treated like some sorta drug seeking junky. shame on you brenda sasu! I walked in very sick as a New patient and I saw this place was build awhile ago in my community and unfortunately the service wasn't professional at all they had a old African idiot lady working the front desk and she has no clue how things is Running after I waited 45min she called me saying are you ready to pay so I can walk you in to see a provider and I was surprised of how her attitude was dealing with me as a sick person with no help. KAYS..was quite uncomfortable with asking question regarding my considered uti...and kept asking pushing if I wanted an antibotic..no everytime she asked 3xs...why..due to the test had not been final to state what antibotic my system will support....she didnt like that answer. I said this is a breakdown of communication...She's rude..not seemingly wanting to be professional...doesn't remember the Hippocratic Medical Oath.
