Free tepache shots from the bar

SO GOOODDDDD. The flamed queso is an absolutely favorite. Food is always amazing. Service is often a little slow but they get busy for dinner. We got free shots from the bar but I wouldn't expect that every time

Amazing service. As a now Texan, the bbq is pretty decent for an east coast bbq, though I've had better in PA. The guys did forget to give us some sausage from our order, but the server was nice enough to help us out. Brisket queso fries were great. They use battered fries! The candied bacon was my favorite. The sides could've been better.

I really enjoyed eating at Tepache Mexican kitchen! We started with the tableside chorizo and hot cheese concoction and boy was in a great way to start the meal! We also had some really tasty cocktails before digging in to the main event! Everyone gonna separate entrée and oohed and ahhed and raved, and quite frankly, it got very quiet because everybody was just totally content with their meals! We also got super aggressive and ordered individual desserts even though we were all pretty full but could not resist! By the time we laughed it certainly felt like I could roll home instead of getting in the car! Delicious food, great atmosphere and good company!

I cannot say enough great things about Tepache! One of my favorite mexican restaurants around Pittsburgh. They have a variety of margaritas including flavors that are specific to their cocktail list. They keep a rotating seasonal menu that is worth boasting. You truly can't go wrong with a dish here. If we lived closer we would most definitely be regulars. Anytime we have to go to this side of town, we plan to stop for lunch or dinner. Their taco Tuesday deal is great! My husband enjoyed 3 tacos for the price of 2 last time we stopped in!

Everything was tasty, fresh, delicious and quickly prepared!! Our group of 5 enjoyed table side guacamole , and Flombay . The service was on point and our server was very attentive. We also enjoyed a variety of entrees like: Chimichangas, Fajitas, Taco salad, Shrimp Enchiladas and the Burrito Ahogado paired with many Margaritas I highly recommend Tepache!! it was super busy and I feel like our server never missed a beat

This place was AMAZING. I haven't had good Mexican food from the north hills until I tried this place. The restaurant was really cute and I loved that they opened the doors so that the sun and breeze rolled through the restaurant. I ordered a Strawberry Mango Margherita and it was so pretty and delicious as well! The server was very nice and friendly and served us quickly. I ordered the Birria Tacos and ABSOLUTELY LOVED them! I loved how they weren't as messy as traditional Birria Tacos because they used a layer of cheese once the bottom so I didn't have to worry about leakage. The meat was so tender and flavorful that I didn't even care there was cilantro on them. I'm not a big fan of cilantro but the Tacos were just that good. The rice was also very good. Only thing that would have made the rice better was if they had the vegetables mixed in. This place was seriously so good. You NEED to try them ou!!

Elotes to Share

The caramelized pineapple old-fashioned was the star of the show. Too bad it was $17. The chips were very tasty. The Elotes to Share were horribly disappointing. The corn couldn't have been more than an 1/8 inch thick on the cob. I'm not sure where you can even get corn like that. The service was great. Elizabeth was wonderful. The Al Pastor Tacos had nice flavor but the corn tortilla was cold, falling apart and blah. Relaxed enough and comfortable.

Lunch Brria tacos

Tepache in Cranberry is one of the best Mexican places in the Pittsburgh area- prices are a little steep but that's what you get for the location so I support it lol. The birria tacos were crispy, flavorful, and hit the spot-- comparable to Southern California but a cleaner environment lol. Service was quick and friendly, and the place has a nice aesthetic--modern but still cozy. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

First, the hospitality that greets you and is sustained throughout your meal is really notable (we arrived on a Monday around 4:45-5pm). Everyone was so friendly, not just our waiter (although he was super attentive and so nice - always smiling)! Dining with happy employees can really accentuate your experience in my opinion, and that definitely stood out here. The restaurant itself is clean and well-appointed; with unique Mexican flair adorning the ceiling and walls, which helps provide an authentic experience. As for the food, I will preface my remarks by stating I'm pretty picky about Mexican food - I don't eat it often so when I do, I prefer to go somewhere that puts an emphasis on freshness and authentic flavor. I usually order fairly simple dishes so it shouldn't be hard to deliver on those expectations. With that said; overall, I'd say this place delivered on both but not in standout fashion. My wife and I shared an order of Taquitos, which had a nice flavor when combined with the guacamole - without the guacamole, it would've been a bit bland. It was also a perfect portion size to share. My entree was the Asada. The tortilla shell is homemade, which is a huge plus in my book. I'm not a fan of commercial tortillas/taco shells. The steak had a nice flavor but was missing something - a bit more kick/zest would have been nice. Also, if it were served with guacamole, that would have been a nice flavor enhancer. It comes with two sauces but I didn't like either one. One was very lime-forward and the other was very pepper-forward. I substituted my rice and beans for Papa Fritas, which were ok. Definitely of the frozen variety but they were cooked well, with a nice crispy texture. They went well with the Asada tacos. Lastly, we shared an order of churros with vanilla ice cream. That was a tasty treat, which was again a perfect portion size to share. Again, overall, this is a quality Mexican restaurant that will likely leave you satisfied, but I wasn't 'wowed' by the food (this time around), but I'll be back to try another dish. Give this place a try and I suspect you'll have a pleasant dining experience!

I stopped by for happy hour and wasn't super impressed. Everything was good, but nothing really stood out. The drinks weren't strong. The food wasn't rememberable. When I went, our service felt slow. Beyond food and service, the interior design and aesthetics were great. It definitely felt elevated but on theme. If you go, try and sit on the patio!! The bathroom is clean and has paper towels which was great.

My favorites were: 1) the char-grilled octopus - so tender 2) chicken souvlaki - the roasted veggies were so good with the smokiness of the chicken! 3) the salmon on top of the Elia salad - it was cooked to perfection. Juicy and flaky! Our server was the one who recommended the Elia Salad with salmon on top with the Champgane Vinaigrette. But, we went with the Greek dressing... I think we would have liked her recommendation more because the combo of salmon and salad was spot on! She definitely knew what she was doing and what tastes good! We sat in the indoor patio-like area and it was very bright with natural light and I love the exposed wood deco inside. It feels rustic and classy at the same time. Such a nice vibe, would definitely come again with a group of people to have a filling and and diverse meal!

Very expensive for 2 very small banana peppers with feta and marinara. Not very good. The spanakopita had 2 large pieces over a salad. Very good. For dinner I had the Shrimp Sunrise which is shrimp, rice, and feta. Tails present well but trying to eat are a little messy. The other diner had the seafood medley with mussels, shrimp, etc. over pasta. Both meals were large portions and we took half home. Suprised by number of food options. Will be back to try other offerings.

Everyone was satisfied about the meal. It was quite pricey, which was expected when we walked in because of the ambiance. So why only 3 stars? I live in Las Vegas and my guy lives in this area (long distance). Well, we were with friends that my guy hadn't spent time with in a while, and this was my first time meeting them. Nice double date! 3 out of 4 of us got multiple drinks and we were enjoying our dinner. We got dessert too. The manager checked on us once. We probably stayed about 20ish minutes after desert while talking and finishing drinks. We got up and used the restroom, and saw the mgr in there. We heard her say that our table "finally decided to leave." Very unprofessional when you are sharing the same restroom as customers to then be talking about them. I'd say the same thing had she not been talking about us but another table. I have 20+ years in the hospitality industry and that rubbed me the wrong way. Food wasn't good enough to come back, so this is a place that relies on ambience and service, which we'd come back for if the service were great...be hospitable. The server was knowledgeable and kind; it's too bad the manager couldn't keep her thoughts about well paying, well tipping customers to an area where customers couldn't overhear.

Arsenal is conveniently located about 3 minutes off I-79 at Soergels Orchard. Today we bought a pumpkin cider and two sorbets. As for the Apple Pumpkin flavor cider, I can not wait to try it later. I do not have any doubts that I won't love it. This is also a seasonal flavor. I love how they are continuously making new flavors and every time I arrive there is one I have yet to hear of. Their Archibald cider is my favorite and it is always available as far as I know. The bottles the cider is poured into are glass and you can bring them back every time you go back for more! When you do that, you do not have to pay the price of the bottle.
