Mihoachan style Carnitas

A nice Mexican option in the old Sir Pizza location. They have indoor seating as well as a nice patio, which was remarkably cool since it benefits from shade from the building. We were complimentary chips and salsa, and these chips were leaned towards gourmet. I got the Sonora Carne Asada. You know you're at a great place when just the rice and beans taste wonderful. The first bite of the steak put me over the moon - it was really flavorful and delicious. It came with a stack of warm tortillas. We tried a chicken tamale. This was done a bit differently than I'd expect. It was not in a corn husk and was slathered in maybe queso. The chicken inside was far too dry and this was just not comparable to the other dishes. Wouldn't order again. They added a credit card surcharge and I didn't see that disclosed anywhere. This left a bad taste taste for me. I would rather these folks build in all the fees they experience into their pricing. When I see such tacked on fees, I am less likely to return. Service was good and attentive, but we went in between lunch and dinner times so it was not busy.

Love this New Mexican spot in gibsonia! Located in treesdale, this restaurant is super cute and conveniently located near pine Richland high school. They have a great bar area with TVs to watch sports etc and also a decent size dining room and outdoor patio. We've been here a few times and the owner and staff are great. But on to what really matters - the food and drinks are fantastic! It's quickly become one of our favorites in the area. They have all the typical offerings and a great variety of drinks (and margarita flavors!). Their salsa is always great. We really like their chicken dishes, and they even have discounted lunch prices which is great (even on a Saturday). Be sure to check it out!

Always GREAT! This has become our go-to for excellent food and great service and it delivered again! The margaritas are excellent too . Their queso is fantastic. I got the TakiTos and we also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken fajitas. Everything was flavorful and delicious.

Tucked away in a small business complex, this Mexican place is worth the trip! All of the food tasted fresh and flavorful. They bring chips and salsa to the table when you are seated. The skinny margarita was refreshing. The guac was smooth with chunks of tomatoes. Veggies for the fajita were grilled well and had a lot of great flavor. We had to get the fried ice cream which didn't disappoint with a nice crispy shell around the ice cream served in a fried sweet tortilla bowl. I will definitely go back!

Fresh delicious food, friendly service. A little pricey. Limited vegetarian options listed on menu, but we were able to come up with something delicious.

This is a hidden gem in the North Hills! The food, service, and Margaritas were excellent. My wife has celiac disease so she cant eat gluten. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and made sure she got something she could eat. We will definitely be coming back!

Wow! What a great space. Between the friendly staff, the twinkle lights, and the funky decor- they've really made this place special. The service was so fast. Before we knew it we had some of the freshest margaritas in hand, chomping on chips and various dips. My husband ordered chicken tacos and rice (he loved). I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos which had a special sauce and mango salsa. Everything was phenomenal. We will be back soon.

Really good Mexican food. Had the steak fajitas for lunch and they were pretty good but the steak is a little tough and probably could use a different cut. She had the huevos rancheros and said it was really good but could have had the tortilla chips or crispy tortilla underneath. Chips and sauce were pretty good and will be back to try something else. I was really looking forward to a chile relleno but they didn't have it on the menu

We loved Santo Coyote. Solid 4.5 but I'll round up to a 5. They are still new so the menu was somewhat limited (which was a bummer since the website had a menu posted with many more options) -- the only entree options were fajitas and quesadillas (for dinner). The lunch menu seems to be a little more extensive. We got the queso with chorizo as an appetizer which came with warm tortillas. We also ordered the fajitas with chorizo, steak and chicken. Both were excellent. We ordered 2 house margaritas which were priced well but didn't really seem to have much alcohol and more on the sweeter side. The free chips and salsa were great and the salsa was very tasty. Our service was excellent- our server was hustling and making sure to pay attention to us even though we were sitting at the bar. The ambiance was good but the restaurant was a bit loud. The chairs were comfortable and all had backs which is a plus. Overall very happy and we will definitely return hopefully when they have an expanded dinner menu.

Their lent menu is a little more trimmed down than their regular food truck menu I have seen before. I got the fish sandwich, hush puppies, and a large side of lobster mac and cheese. It was a little pricey, $31. The lobster mac and cheese was as much as the sandwich for a container the size of a to-go soup bowl which seemed like a little much. There weren't that many lobster pieces for the price, like 3 or 4 decent-sized chunks, and the mac and cheese itself was pretty bland. The fish sandwich was the best part but I still wasn't wow-ed; I was also charged $1 for one slice of american cheese. I'm fine with paying extra for things, that just seemed excessive. The hush puppies and fries were clearly just frozen, and the fries were cold. For the price, I wouldn't come back here during lent but may visit the food truck at a different time to see the bigger menu.

The slaw was good too, but overall I'm just not that big of a fan of slaw. The fish and chips came with 4 decently sized pieces of haddock and a bunch of fries. Honestly, this could be a meal for 2 people if you're not extremely hungry. It was kind of expensive, but worth it in my opinion due to the quality and the amount of food. I would go again. I'm interested in trying their lobster rolls after lent is over!

Surprisingly, it was not croweded at all. I give a lot of credit to our server who did a great job, with one notable exception. I ordered the salmon entree for $27. When I asked to add asparaus as my side, I was told that would be an additional $7 and I agreed. When my plate arrived, I was shocked. For $34 dollars I didn't expect to receive an item from the Kiddie menu, but that's how it looked. The salmon was good, and the asparagus was ok. After I finished my meal I was still very hungry, as 99% of adults would be. I didn't want to make a scene - afterall this was a family gathering where we traveled from Colorado. Luckily, my husband was across from me and told me there were an excess of roasted potatoes as part of his steak salad. That saved me from starvation. I would still return to the Springfield Grille, but I advised that the staff warn customers when portions are exceedingly small to avoid extreme disappointment and hunger after eating.

Examples of menu items are appetizers (e.g., shrimp cocktail and nachos), soups, salads, wings, burgers, flatbreads, entrees (e.g., pasta primavera, chicken, duck, pork chop, swordfish, and A-5 wagyu), desserts (e.g., limoncello and cheesecake), and drinks (e.g., mocktails, cocktails, wines, whiskeys, and beers). My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.

It was a Sunday afternoon between lunch and dinner, so it wasn't very busy. There were a few people sitting at the bar enjoying the afternoon. The meal also includes warm bread and butter, a salad (you get your choice of three; we picked the BLT), and dessert. Unfortunately, we didn't receive the dessert, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. That said, everything we did receive was delicious and fresh. Our pickup time was 615P. I got there at 605P and called to let them know I arrived. I was told that my food was being packed up. They were busy (always are), so I was okay with a minor delay. I called in at 630P to check on my order. After, I walked in twice to check. I called in at 7P to check on my order (third time) and this time was told to hold as they actually checked. I was then told it would be with me in 10 minutes. At 715P, they brought out my order. My drive home is ~15 minutes. I get that food will lower in temp on any drive home. Our food was cold. Not even a bit warm. The onion rings felt as though they'd been sitting inside for a long time. And yes, I tipped significantly. We were very disappointed. While I can recommend dining inside, and we will likely do so again in the future (far future), I cannot recommend carry-out at all.
