Stopped here on a whim after a really rough/stressful day at work with my coworker. Neither of us had eaten all day. This place was fantastic. Their salsa bar had so many amazing salsas. The mango habanero was my favorite. Their horchata was absolutely amazing. I drank that and my refill so quickly. Not overly sweet but not lacking in flavor either. Perfectly balanced. The serving size for the ceviche was a lot! I couldn't even finish it (granted I did fill up on chips and salsa... lol). Nice balance to them A bit of a nice kick too, a nice sized shrimp chunks. I didn't try the cheese steak my coworker got but it looked and smelled amazing. Considering how fast they ate it, it must have been really good. We won't be back. Here's why- yes we were seated immediately, but there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Our server, Karen's attitude made it very obvious she did not want anyone in her section, and I may go as far to say she did not want to be working. We felt rushed from the start. Before we even had a moment to settle in and look she asked us if we were ready to order. My husband said "we'll start with waters with no ice and asked for some more time to look over the menu." When she came back with our waters (that had ice but no biggie) we asked the prices of the drinks because they aren't on the menu. Karen didn't know and didn't offer to find out, so we just ordered a margarita. I opted out by this point. I tasted my husband's and it was too sweet and full of margarita mixer. My son's hamburger came out and it unfortunately had cheese on it. We specifically requested no cheese and she was so annoyed by this. Face and audio expression made it very apparentIt's not the customers fault the waitress got the order wrong or the chef did. To add I got 2 street tacos and the carne asada was so greasy I took one bite and left the rest. So overall not a terrible experience by any means, but not great either. We were driving through South Carolina and decided to stop at Patron's for a quick bite to eat. When we walked into the restaurant we decided to stay. Service was great and food was very good. The chips and salsa was delicious, and they had such a big and excellent variety of salsas, we also loved that the chips came with beans! We had the Albembres which is steak or chicken with bell pepper, onions and tomato served with rice and beans and tortillas. We also ordered street tacos and quesadilla birria, which was very good! We've visited this restaurant several times. I just gotta say the service is amazing, the is food is fantastic everything is fresh made to order. The salsa bar is always on point. The salsa bar was fully stocked, and I had what has to be one of the best fajitas I've ever had in my life. It was the Hawaii Hawaiian one with pineapple. The service was amazing as well. I ordered the guacamole and a California burrito. The presentation of both were very good, however, both were bland. The guacamole was fresh made which was a plus, however it was flavorless. My coworker and I were driving through what felt like the middle of nowhere SC and needed to eat. I saw all these cars and trucks outside this restuarant so it couldn't be too bad. It was great. We were close enough to the hotel that drinks were a must. I ask the bartender to make something good with my favorite Mezcal. She poured up the drink you see in the picture. It was so good I had to take a picture of the mix she put with it. I knew I would need another drink for my meal, so I tried their Habanero Mango margarita which was just as good. Now the food was equally as delicious. For some reason I wanted a bunch of vegetables which normally is hard to find a typical Mexican restaurant. Luckily, this is not your typical establishment. I got the vegetarian bowl which was a perfect mix of broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, rice, beans, and cheese. Yet, I knew I would still be hungry, so I order their Gyro Fajita Yummy Taco which was just right as it came in a pita. Patron always has fabulous food and service. I have never had a bad service or a bad meal there. Today I went in determined to stick to my diabetic diet and asked if I could get the grilled vegetables (which is really only on the dinner menu) substituted on a lunch special. The waitress was amazing! She not only did my substitution but was super sweet about it. The salsa verde and white salsa will forever be my favorite things on the salsa bar. I could almost drink them. Almost every time I'm there the manager comes by the table to ask how things were and I love the visibility and friendliness so much. I'm impressed. We ate dinner with another couple on a Friday night. The place was busy but well organized. Our waiter was super nice, efficient, fast. The menu is substantial with dozens of options for food as well as drinks. Their Michelada was the best I have had. We ordered a steak and chicken fajita for two, which was quite good and HUGE... I ate steak and chicken for the next two lunches at home. One of our friends ordered a huge bowl of seafood... I would give you the name but the menu does not open up right now on their website. He took a lot home with him... Our waiter brought us a round of "Mexican Gasoline" shots which was a refreshing but potent drink... on the house. We also had a round of Mezcale just because... Before I opened Yelp, I was planning on giving Patron a 3 out of 5 stars. When I opened the app, that was the score that they currently had and it makes sense. It's not a bad place to eat but not good either. My wife told me that we had eaten here before but I didn't remember visiting and that really sums it up... a forgettable dining experience. My wife enjoyed the soup but my nachos were very soggy. My daughter had a beef taco that was a bit greasy...not much else to say about the food. Nice New Mexican restaurant in town! We have so many similar restaurants, but this was nice and fun and new(er). The salsa bar was cool, and we hung out at the bar. They have tons of TVs and like, every type of booze available in SC haha! My boyfriend and I both had dinner (tacos) and plenty of beer, and the whole bill was less than it would be at a similar restaurant down the road without adult beverages, so that was nice, too. This is the best restaurant around for Mexican food. We have tried all of them around Greenville and Easley. We are glad we found this one today. Their fajitas are great the meat was nice and tender. They have a cheese steak burrito which I had which was great. There's salsa bar is a nice touch. Their lunch specials are a great price. The service was great. All around great experience.
