This is one of the places my family enjoys eating when I am in town visiting with them. The most recent trip earlier in July 2026, I ordered the Tipsy Casa Salad and a Cowgirl Taco. The salad was a much larger serving than I expected! Both items were delicious, but I wasn't able to eat it all. The family enjoyed their orders too. Our servers were friendly and took care of us well enough. It is a great spot to watch sports because they have several TVs all around. I was very surprised by how few patrons they had that evening, especially since it was Taco Tuesday. They also have some outdoor dining available when the weather is agreeable with you. A group of us (8) came here on Wednesday night to fellowship and celebrate the 87th birthday of our dear Jan. I've never been here before but others have. Our server Ethan was wonderful. Friendly AND patient since we had people looking over the menu. My husband has many food allergies and Ethan went back to confirm which taco did not have gluten. And wrote down the need to not include cheese on his order since he's gluten free and dairy free. He ordered Carne Asada taco, white corn, no avocado ranch (due to dairy in it) and sub with honey citrus, and the Tipsy Club taco, white corn, no feta cheese, no avocado ranch, sub with honey citrus. This came out twice as they messed up the order in the back as it had feta cheese, and then the ranch. His comment was, it was tasty but not a lot of meat. I ordered two tacos: Seoul Mate and Greek Taco which were both good, not amazing, but tasty enough. We covered Jan's order and she ordered two Philly Filet tacos, hard shell and a naked Chicharrones appetizer which were fried pork skin rinds I think, that were shared with the whole table. I had brought HBD balloons, card, and cupcakes and Ethan said she could have a dessert OR a tequila (pineapple mango? I forgot) which we were all teasing her about it. She chose the dessert, not knowing the cupcakes were on the seat away from her, and wanting to share with everyone though the ice cream portion seemed to have her name on it. That was a very nice and sweet treat that was greatly appreciated. He even took our group shot for us. Because we were greater than 5, we were considered a large party so the 20% tip automatically was included to the bill which Ethan communicated to us about (he's so good) so you can add more. Would I go there again? It's not close to where we live, portion size and options were a bit more limited than we'd like. We chose it due to the location near where Jan just moved to and could pick her up. Some of the others that live in the area says it's especially great to watch sports on the TV and grab food. There were plenty of other people that were eating there. So, unless we need to be back in that area, it's an option to eat at but not one we would go out of our way to. Food: I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The serving size was big and hearty. My chicken was a little too salty and the beans were not seasoned enough. The queso and sauce on the enchiladas was rich and flavorful. The rice was perfect texturally and flavorful. I ended up eating each bite of enchilada with beans to balance the salt levels. Service: our server was amazing! The bar forgot to make one of our drinks a double and she brought out a shot out to the table for us. Both drinks were well made and tasted great! This was a nice spur of the moment dinner during our last week in Simpsonville. I had a double Day of the Dead that was made perfectly. The service was nice as we had a good chat with our server about drink preferences and the food came out very quickly. The ambience of this specific shot is still more of a hole in the wall as it's at the tail end of a shopping center that gets a lot of traction from the Publix and Target in the area. My bestie and I are always down for some good tacos and tequila! I've been to the Tipsy Taco in Clemson, SC, but this location had somewhat of a different vibe. I was a little thrown off by the service. Our waiter was young and slightly inexperienced.. He even went missing for about 10 minutes because he said the manager asked him to run to Publix for some ingredients. Other than the awkward service, the food was good & the drinks were delicious! We ended up ordering 3 separate margarita flights because they were so good. I wouldn't label this place as 'authentic', but it is a definitely a restaurant with a variety of items to enjoy. I will start by saying that the service was incredible! We came over around 8pm on Sunday and Ethan and team were fantastic. He was kind, personable and very attentive. Moving to the food, I liken it to Taco Bell (both in its quality and taste). The queso was hard/solid within a small amount of time and tasted like velveeta. The chips were fried too long and you could tell that they were using old oil as it had a bad smell and a bitter taste at the end. Our tacos were ok. We got a mix of proteins but they all had little flavor and I felt like I could make them better at home. My daughter had kids chicken tenders and fries. Those were ok but again, I probably could've made them better (and fresher) at my house. We won't be back and are pretty bummed we spent over $50. I hope the Management of this location reads this and ups the quality of their food - especially changing the grease out more often. read more

We have frequented this restaurant since it opened. The service and food have always been very good. Until tonight. It is our daughter's birthday and this was her choice for her birthday meal. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess, but when we requested a high top (4 were available) we were told they only had booths open. We were then seated right by the door. Maddie (Madison S) our server introduced herself and asked what she could start us with, I asked for a large beer. She asked if I wanted a 22 or a 32. I said large. She responded with " I'm just making sure I don't want to have to comp it." My husband ordered an amber and was served a lager. If this had not been our daughter's birthday Request, we would have walked out the door. It will be a very long time if ever we return. read more

The server was mostly good. Beyond that it was somewhat of a disappointment. The appetizer came out after the entree. I asked for no cilantro, but the order was filled with it. I couldn't find the server to get it changed. He finally showed up to give us the bill and when I pointed to the cilantro he at first said that wasn't cilantro. WRONG. Only got 2 pieces of chicken on my taco that were way overcooked and about the size of a finger. Cowboy taco I got had brown avocados and was DRENCHED in sauce so that the flour tortilla was a mushy mess. I just threw it away. Came here for a solo dinner on a Friday and the place didn't disappoint. There's an extensive list of tequilas to choose from and a small space for outdoor seating. I started with the chips and salsa and the salsa was excellent. Not too much spice but it did have some heat and for me, it was perfect. The queso could have been a little hotter but I understand how cheese can burn if kept too hot. The menu definitely had a lot of taco selections to choose from but I opted for the taco salad with chicken. The chicken wasn't dry, but very moist and seasoned. And there was a lot of chicken. This location is very busy for it's size, so be prepared! This is personally my favorite taco menu in the upstate. I love that they are simple, typically no more than 3-4 ingredients, and they aren't full of things I've never heard of. They have plenty of dairy-free options too, and it's typically difficult to find mexican food without cheese or sour cream. They have quesadillas, nachos, and a variety of other options, but they really shine with their tacos (which you can get on a variety of shell options too). My favorites are the Kahuna Tuna, Black 'n' Blue, Bang Bang Shrimp, Old School, and The Cowgirl. I typically order 2-3, depending on how many other sides or appetizers I have. I love their guacamole because it is simple and authentic - avocado, lime, cilantro - not avocado mixed with pico de gallo and sold as "guacamole". It's some of the best I've had! Their chips are a little too thin for the guacamole, but I forgive them that because it's so delicious. Spicy avocado ranch and the quest are probably the best appetizers to start with in my opinion. The signature salsa is absolutely the best homemade salsa I have ever had. The chips come out hot and fresh which is a total win! Homemade taco shells give this place another gold star. Between my wife and myself we have tried almost every taco there and I can honestly say they were all amazing! I mean fort of all tacos for the win but their creative take is totally next level. Favorite taco is the Rockin Lobster. Was very skeptical about this at first but wham hands down an amazing taco. #totalfoodgasm My daughter ordered chicken burrito, it was 11.99 I believe and was a little shocked before it arrived. This was a very mixed bag experience, but the good was so good that I'm giving 4 stars. The filet fajitas were outstanding! That steak was better than most we've had at steakhouse restaurants! And the hot and "popping" chicharrones were an absolute must have treat. The tacos were okay. The street taco came with lots of meat, but not much flavor. The old school was decent, just what you would expect. The greek was the worst, with very grisly pieces of chicken. Blech. It's a type of place you come for the drinks and happen to get Mexican food. Chips and salsa are $5 and everything else isn't exactly the best. Street corn is alright, tastes like it's just Parmesan cheese on top of frozen corn. Tacos are decent but a little pricey. Its a chain place and you can tell in the quality of the food. Their drinks are fun and good and it's a good place to have a drink with some friends but if you're looking for good Mexican food, I'd advise going elsewhere. read more

Got DoorDash the other day and the food arrived quicker than the estimate but it was still lukewarm. Not the restaurant's fault or the delivery driver either. No stars deducted for food temperature. Ordered the Street Corn and the Grilled Chicken & Filet Fajitas. The corn was plain... none of the typical cotija cheese, lime, or seasoning. Not worth the $4 price at all. The fajitas were bland. The chicken and steak were seasoned and tender, but there was only about 3 small strips of each. The rest was all peppers and onions that had no seasoning and they needed more cooking time. The black beans and the Mexican rice were pretty good. The fixin's plate had plenty of pico, lettuce, sour cream, guac, and cheese, but again, this was not worth the $17 considering the small amount of protein included. No thanks. read more
