We've been going to Pat's Acres for a couple of years now and I am long overdue in writing up this review. The facilities totally get you into the mood of racing. The karts are easily dialed in for your height so that you can better control the karts. The staff are beyond pleasant. The track is challenging and provides for many passing opportunities. We've enjoyed the track so much so that now we are looking to get legit karts to take it up a notch and do practice/track days at Pat's Acres. I've had a shifter kart before and my GF is looking at getting a DD2. We take eachother here for our respective birthdays and leave with great racing battle memories and huge smiles. Pat's Acres posts lap times after the completion of each session so that you can see how you compare to your track mates. I highly recommend you get a group of friends and head to Pat's Acres to create some amazing stories. I've done K1 down in San Diego and there is just something more tangible about racing outdoors versus racing indoors. Maybe it's the fact that F1, F2, F3 race at outdoor tracks that you feel like (insert favorite F1 pilot) late braking one of your mates into a corner and pulling off a pass. Ive been racing since I could walk, maybe even before that LOL and Ive traveled (A LOT)... wherever I go I will always look for the BEST places place to go fast and have a quality time in fact you could call me a "quality snob" I have been coming here to Chris and his crews at Pats Acres since they opened and I have to this day not been able to find ANYTHING in this category ANYWHERE in the world as realistic and quality as the experience they have always offered since inception. I teach driving safety and racing at PIR. I have been bringing my friends and family here for many years and currently bring many of my driving and racing friends and students here to learn in a very realistic environment that offers the ability to learn and teach real life driving and racing skills.....I have always said there is nowhere I know of you can have as much fun for your money!!! We were at Pat's Acres driving their rentals. Fantastic fun. While not as fast as full racing karts (nowhere near as fast), definitely much faster than the indoor carts you might used to at places like K1. And because it is outside it just feels more realistic...if you spin or miss a bend you'll be on the grass! Really really fun. Will definitely return. read more

So very disappointed being my first time! Specially that it was my son's 21st birthday and he invited all his friends. We had a party of 11 people with 2 minors! On our last lap we had employees hitting our party and running them off the track! Including one of the minors that spun 3 times and none of the employees came to her assistance! As we all complaint to the staff inside behind the counter, they all advised us that employees are allowed to ride in the track at all times! We were told no manager available and gave us a card for corporate to call and compliant! We paid for 2 laps for 11 people which came out to be around $750. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL! Please don't spend your money at this establishment!!!! read more

Pros: fast little carts and a fun track with hair pin turns and straight always to go really fast! The complex is clean and a pretty scenic drive into it. Even the porta potty was as clean as one can be. The introductory video was hilarious and a good way to get people to remember the rules through humor. The kid outside with the long hair was super friendly and helpful answering questions and helping to set up your position in the cart. Cons: the young female staff member (she took pictures and input information into the computer) was super rude and unfriendly. She clearly is not grateful to have employment and was super put out to actually have to do some work. My father in law is chatty and was asking her how long the facility had been there and her answers were super sarcastic and rude. You should know some basic information about the facility you work at instead of saying "a long time." I would think that working there would be a pretty rad job at her age, so I'm surprised at her lack of enthusiasm. I think the slightly older female realized how rude her coworker was being so she answered my FIL's questions with a smile. None of the staff was wearing masks and the helmets and carts were clearly not sanitized properly between uses. You do get a clean "head sock" to wear which provides some barrier between you and the helmet. The facility is SUPER pricey for even just a 12 minute drive. They charge you a BS membership fee that is mandatory in addition to the price of the ride. That's stupid. We live in CA so it's not like we can come back anytime soon to ride again. I wish there was a little more "instruction" for novice riders. It took me 10 minutes just to figure out how to complete the turns without going too fast or too slow so I could relax and have fun. Overall a really fun place and a great experience. Be prepared to spend way too much for what you get and be prepared for inconsistently capable staff. And you might get Covid from the place, but you sign a waiver for that. read more

Super fun, super friendly. You sign a waiver for Covid. It's outside so no need for a mask per se' the helmets are clean as you have to wear a head sock, to keep them that way. The head sock can be used as a mask and you are encouraged to take it home. Membership and 2 races with purchase of a head sock was $67 total. Races are $25 each. Distance your self. Honestly it's the only thing fun to do this summer and that guy sam wants to ruin it for everyone. Thanks for making my summer fun! read more

It was my first time at this facility (not my first time riding) and I was extremely offended by the fact that the staff allowed other drivers and their own staff to not only run others off the track but run into drivers that were going slower. I myself was run off the track and another driver was forced into a spin due to a driver almost running her off the track. I know that there are safety rules but today they were not enforced. read more

I went here for my 32nd birthday with about 10 friends. We rented karts, and did 2 or 3 sessions and went on our way. The karts were fast, as advertised. The track was well taken care of, and everyone was really nice. I've always had an interest in kart racing, and this was a great experience overall. After my birthday, I had 2 leftover sessions from the group package we did and I went back with 1 friend... That trip wasn't as amazing, but it was still fun. The timing system was down, seemed that happened from time to time. And on our second session, I noticed the tire looked flat towards the end of the time. When I told the attendant, he seemed more bummed he would have to service the kart than anything else. The regular kart guys won't talk to a "renter" which is expected, but I didn't expect an employee to seem relieved when someone showed up with their own kart. These are high school kids running the rentals, so what can you expect... but still, it could have been better. read more

Great place to burn off some adrenaline. The staff is friendly and provided great customer service. We took a team of boys after a lacrosse tournament without advance notice. They accommodated our whole group and went out of their way to make sure kids had fun. Will definitely return. read more

Overall, a nice outdoor go-kart track. The rental karts are in decent shape and faster than what you will find at indoor tracks. The track is challenging and the price is a little higher than average but fair, $12 annual membership and $25 per 12 minute session. They also offer a great discount for members of the military. When I arrived there sunset was about 9:00 PM but the last race ran a little after 8:00 so be sure to get there early enough. Racing with others was fun, although a number of people seemed to have trouble with 3 of the corners, which means you need to always look ahead to make sure you don't hit someone that is backwards on the course. The karts were in reasonably well maintained but there is some variation in the way they handle due to wear so you may need to make adjustments in your driving for each kart and times might vary by a second or so due to the differences. These differences add to the challenge and enable you to learn what works for different karts. The employees were all helpful and nice. They did miss a few things on the track because they are covering a large area but overall they seemed to operate safely. At times, they will allow drivers to go onto the track with personal karts, so be sure to allow time. Also, bring snacks, drinks, etc. because here is no drinking fountain and what is offered by the track is limited to chips, candy, bottled water and soda. read more

The place is run by young teens. The people who rent space to store their personal go karts get first priority on the track....so be prepared to wait multiple times if you buy more than a 12 min spot. It is a scenic area and a good time despite the waiting. read more

This business is not in compliance with Covid. At all. No employees wear face coverings. Patrons are not required to wear face coverings inside or outside even though it is not safe to do otherwise. Helmets are a component of the rental process and they are visibly not sanitized between uses. Neither are the karts. This business has tremendous work to do in regards to COVID. Organization of patrons through the rental process is direly needed. From beginning to end, patrons are left to themselves to social distance at a business that does not naturally facilitate this. There are no markings for patrons on how to safely distance, though they do have a waiver saying the my are not liable if you contract Covid. Don't patronize this business unless changes are made. read more

I've heard from people who have rented at the track for $1800 an hour that it's a lot of fun. On the other hand I took a small group for rental carts and was told that Saturday was open and planned my event for 10 AM. Fortunately I called ahead and they said, oh, we rented out the track till noon so if you come at noon you should be able to get right on and it's only open cart racing so it shouldn't take long to race. It took an hour and a half wait and we only had two 12 minute groups ahead of us but the problem was they kept putting private single racers in for up to 20-25 minutes each making us stand around and watch well letting apparently the privileged cut in line ahead of us. Obviously Cart rentals are the stepchild. The teenagers that run the place know little to nothing, miss lead you by saying it will be five minutes for the private carts to run when they ran 25 minutes. Also, they had a kid out there that was a national competitor on a faster cart than everyone else', this kid rear ended me twice just before a corner and when I came through the corner he jerk the steering wheel to the right almost smashed into the crash wall. What the world is that all about? If you don't have $1800 to the rent the track for an hour for your own personal use I do not recommend this place. I had as much fun at Malibu race track, efficiently ran and they have a lap counter that you can see while you're driving. Two thumbs down. read more

I Have been to all the Go cart places around portland oregon and If you want a FAST GO CART pats Acres is the Place to be. It's no joke 50+M.P.H The track layout is very fun. The go carts corner very well after you warm the tires up. (I went full out on the first turn and got backwards but kept the go cart on the track) The Go carts have Time Tags on them. when you finish the race you get a print out of your average lap time and speed and what place you came in. The staff is very helpful and can give you advice how to improve your lap time. This is my first review of Pats Acres But I have been going there science 2009 to present and Pats Acres is my go to if i want to drive very fast around a race track. ;)~ read more
