We hosted my son's 12th birthday party here. The kids really enjoyed the experience and the staff was great, BUT, you have the space for 2 hrs and the racing only barely takes up 45 min to an hour. Even if you get the kids eating for 30 minutes, you still have to find a way to kill another 30 minutes. It's a ton of fun and the birthday food was good, but there needs to be more racing or more activities for the price. read more

This place is huge, and we had such a great time! We came for a team outing and it totally exceeded expectations. The go kart track was longer than we anticipated, which made racing against our teammates even more thrilling. The friendly competition, tight turns, and high-speed chases definitely got the adrenaline flowing. One of the highlights was how open and well-designed the facility is. There's a spacious lounge area perfect for relaxing between races, a podium for celebrating the winners, and plenty of arcade games to keep everyone entertained. The whole experience was very fun! We went at 5pm on a Saturday with no wait time! The staff were great.

We visited on a Saturday night at 8:30pm and were told it would be a 90 minute wait. This was my first time here, so I didn't know what to expect. Luckily there is an arcade to keep you occupied and comfortable lounge seating if you'd like to relax. There are food options and plenty of beverage options as well, but I didn't order anything so I can't speak to the quality. And you can always watch all the races ahead of you for entertainment as well. Unfortunately our group ended up waiting over 2 hours to race. It would be nice if the wait times/list were posted so you could see where you are in the line. As a female spectator, I was grateful for the ample lounge seating and relatively clean restrooms. If I return to this location, I would plan to bring my headphones and listen to an audiobook while waiting. :) Our group had fun once they got onto the track and I like how you can receive a printout of your race/lap times and where you placed, but a 2+ hour wait will prevent me from returning anytime soon. read more

Manager lied to my group and I about wait time just to get us to leave. It was two peoples birthdays too. said it would be 2 hours. We asked even if we split the group would it be possible. He said no. I told him that I had called earlier and the person told me it would only be 35 min wait time. When I told him this he said "was it a lady that had a high pitch voice and sounded like she is from Thailand?" I said yes. He then said "Yeah thats our call center they just tell you what you want to hear" We all left and enjoyed the birthday elsewhere after we all drove an hour to get there. I will admit i had a pretty good time, but there could be some improvements. Firstly the arcade was not very big. One of the screens for the driving game had cracks in it. One of the employees got very mad at me for walking on the wrong side to hop in the go karts. First of all it was my first time there. Second there wasn't any signs telling me what side to walk on. Came for fast karts, left disappointed after they nerfed our speeds. Paid for a party of 10 for some fast "45mph racing" as advertised but they nerfed the speeds to about half because we had 15 year old kids racing. I was told "for the safety of the drivers" they wouldn't let us go full speed. Why not let us race 5 at a time so people don't crash then? Why not let us race 1 at a time then? DO SOMETHING other than screw us out of our money with advertised speeds we couldn't achieve. If we wanted Bullwinkles speeds we could have driven for $13 each not $65! read more

My mother and I took my nephew to K1 Speed for his birthday; thanks to my friend Sasha Martinez for the recommendation he had a blast I highly suggest checking them out...They cater to kids & adults (beer). They had two birthday parties going on while we were there. One older group with ages 50+ and the other group were a bunch of kiddos. They all raced it was fun to watch. It's a nice facility, nice staff, food is pretty decent. I bought two races but only did one because I was scared those go karts are extremely fast, too fast for me lol. Racing was fine. The karts are great but they need to use a passing flag. It would solve so many problems. Almost every time I tried to pass the slow people they would serve right in front of my kart and I would have to slam on the brakes to not ram into them. The type of racers you drive with can really make or brake your experience. Some people drive like they have never seen a go kart before. k1 speed needs at add a passing flag. Went to K1for the first time today (7/1) with my 26 year old son. Bought the three race package. Staff was professional kind and well organized. Here's is where they standout. I'm 70 with Parkinson's getting into the kart was easy getting out required my son and a willing and helpful staff member to get me out of the kart. We did not have to ask for the help they were right there to assist and were very polite and respectful of my condition. The karts and track were great. Before driving 30 minutes to get here I went to their website to check the height requirements. The minimum was 48". My son was 49" so I was confident enough he and my two daughters would be able to ride the go-karts. I really wished I read the reviews prior warning people about the minimum height requirement is not correct. Sure enough I arrived and the lady at the counter led me to the go-karts to do a go-kart "fit check". The guy said not only was my son not small, but also one of my daughters (52" tall). The guy doing the check explained that for safety reasons kids need to be able to full depress the two pedals to safely ride. I totally understand his reason for not allowing two of my kids to ride, however the "minimum height requirement (48") ". Is completely incorrect. Please just change your height requirement. It make no sense that only someone with disproportionate legs to their upper body and 48" could pass the kit test. Otherwise the place looked clean and organized. read more

K1 Speed is hard to rate, because the racing experience was FANTASTIC, but the customer service and a few other items were less than ideal. First, the good: If you've ever raced gas-powered go-karts at "open to the public" establishments (instead of private competitive places), you know that they're all generally underpowered and slow, and the gas fumes from the (literal) lawnmower engines are sinky and noxious. The carts at K-1 are full electric, and have modern telemetry, electronic control, and display screens in the middle of the steering wheels. This allows for the race controllers to allow racers to file out of the "pit lane" at low speed, even at full throttle. Once the last racers is out of the pit, higher power is enabled, and you're immediately met with a rush of VERY fast acceleration and a top speed that's very well-suited to the challenging and fun course. These cars are TONS faster (top speed) and accelerate TONS faster than any other cart I've ever raced. It is quite a sensation to feel the wind rushing past you as you race. Should a racer spin or crash, the race controller engages "caution" mode, which reduces the carts' top speed to that of racers filing out of pit row, or to stop the carts altogether. When this happens, an animated "Caution" flag is displayed on the steering wheel screens so that racers know what is happening. The course at this location is FUN, and is very challenging. It took me until about halfway through my second race to start to really get the feel of the course, and to really seconds off of my lap time. At the end of your day, you'll be given printouts of statistics of all racers' performance. It should be noted that the objective of the race is to get the lowest lap time, not to pass other racers, although they do offer such races on special nights. While it may not seem like it, K1 Speed is a GREAT Place to bring kids. K1 has "junior" race carts, and if juniors are racing, they race by themselves, thereby allowing them the full course to explore without worry about adult racers endangering them. It was really great to see two youngsters have the entire course to themselves. If you're a petite adult, you're not allowed to race the junior carts, but they do have booster seats for the adult carts. At the location is an actual race car to admire, a small arcade, an eatery, and a giant sign showing an overhead view of the race course, as well as the optimal line one should take when racing it. So, now for the not so great things: 1. The wait times: We went on a Monday night, thinking we'd be in and out pretty quickly, especially considering that the parking lot was basically empty, and the establishment was almost completely empty when we arrived. Despite this, we had to wait about an hour and a half for our slot to come up. We did two races back-to-back, though. While this is completely understandable, I'd really have liked to have had some sort of indication that we'd have to wait that long before being able to race. Also, there was only one employee working the front desk, and it took far longer than expected to get signed in and pay for our races. 2. Stock levels: We each opted for a package that included annual membership, a free T-shirt, and two races. Their selection of T-shirts was wide, but most of them in our sizes were out of stock (women's medium and men's XL), and we'll have to make a return trip to (hopefully) get our T-shirts. 3. The PA system: The race controller announces when racers are to report to the staging area to race. This is perfectly audible and intelligible in the hallway, eatery, and front desk, which is fine if you happen to be in any of those areas. If you're in the arcade or the actual racing area, it is almost impossible to hear because the volume is low, and there's a lot of echo. I'd like to come back to K1 Speed early in the day on a weekday in hopes that it will result in a shorter wait time. read more

This place has a small parking lot but plenty of parking for those that want to come here. The is a small arcade in the back. The indoor track is a nice size. You must have a membership to use the track. They can have up to a 2 hour wait. My party did not want to wait for 1 hour to use the track. We were also told we couldn't drink at the bar while we waited. I understand no drinking and driving. That is smart. Hard to get a party of 7 to sit still for an hour and wait. read more

Would give zero stars. My wife accidentally booked a "junior" race for sons bday party (12yrs old). All the boys meet the height requirement. After realizing our mistake (after they put the boys into the slow little junior karts for ~7yr olds) I grab the manager and say "hey we gotta get these boys into the fast karts" and the guy launches into a whole "you hooked the number karts" speech. Giving security guard with ego/power issues. I'm like dude I'll pay for whatever I don't care it's a bday party they all meet the requirements obviously. The guy singles out the two shortest kids and makes them do a height check. Passed. You can tell he REALLY didn't want the kids to be tall enough. So, I'm like "great we're good!". The guy is like "no, I have to test their legs" so he marches the two little guys to the karts, doesn't let us parents come with (the vibes were hostile and scary for the boys). So thc guys makes sure their feet can reach the pedals, which they did. All good? NOPE! In front everyone he goes :" I'll let every else but these two race". Like crushing these kids. OMFG it was the worst experience ever. The one short kid who meets the height requirement goes "I could press both pedals all the way, why can't I race?". Heartbreak. Birthday ruined. One of the boys goes "oh my God that guy is as asshole." I chuckled I'm like welp can't argue with that assessment! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. making up their own rules to win some pissing contest with a dad at his kid's birthday party whose wife made a booking mistake. LAME To recap: --Accidentally booked junior race for 59" 12yr olds who have all raced in the adult karts before --Manager guy says since we booked juniors we have to stay in juniors --Dad says will pay more for fast karts, which somehow bothers the manager guy -- so Manager guy singles out the two "short" kids and publicly humiliates them and refuses to let them race in karts they have raced in before. And not once did the guy smile or address the boys like a kind adult. He scared them. Made them feel like they were in trouble or something 0 stars This manager guy has zero customer service. I think he hates happiness or children or both. And the bathroom is a mess And at least two arcade games are broken and take your money. read more

This place was terrible and our group had the worst experience from the beginning to the end. For a place you thought was going to be fun turned out to be the exact opposite. We actually didn't even complete our second race because it was so terrible. The service was a zero out of 10. The cars are controlled by a remote and you basically just sit there. Not fast at all!!!! I would not suggest you go to this place unless you want to waste $130 on 12 laps. Btw don't forget you have to pay for an annual license even if you only go once and they also have a credit card fee of 3%. Made reservations about a month in advance for a group of 12 people. Michelle the coordinator was very easy to work with and super responsive. The day of was really easy as well. We just had to go in put a card on file and paid after the races. You do get a handful of races, we opted for the $65 package which included a trophy for 1-3. Everyone had a great time. I do have to say, to actually race was quite expensive. We only have two places around the Portland area that offers strictly gokarting and from wha to remember the other place was much cheaper. I guess at the end of the day, there really isn't much competition for them so they can charge whatever they want. Especially if you don't have reservations, the wait time is ridiculous... The food was freezer food. Which I expected. The wings were inconsistent, some were cold, some were warm, nothing was piping hot. The pizza tasted like cardboard. I would have preferred Totinos pizza. I also requested for the food to be out at 6 and had to double check with them. We didn't get our food until 630ish. I will have to say the food was decently priced. So that was a positive, but I probably wouldn't come back for the food. They do serve alcohol which if you aren't racing you can enjoy, you can also grab a drink after you're done racing! read more

This place was great, clean facilities, fun track and fast karts. The one major down side was the absolute jerks we raced with. We had one pre teen and their father in particular who were driving incredible recklessly. I understand there is an element of competitive aggression in go karting but this little girl hit me and three of the other people in my group insanely hard. Multiple times. Purposefully. She t boned people and brake checked another party member so hard she caused a collision. There were no repercussions at all, for her, her parents or their scores. The race stewards need to do a better job of keeping people safe and accountable. They didn't flag her or put out signs and if they had she clearly didn't care about following the rules, which were not enforced. Upon finishing the race our entire group said to the stewards we don't feel comfortable racing with dangerous drivers for our second race and they didn't give a damn. Luckily that group was done for the night, but it was completely unacceptable. Please maintain safety standards and emphasize the importance of race etiquette. Your 4th place win doesn't mean as much when you bully everyone off the track. read more

RESERVE A TIME IN ADVANCE. My group and I arrived around 9 pm hoping to get in, but failed. We called early in the morning to see if our group should reserve a time or not, and was told that it's usually not busy at the time we were planning so it wasn't necessary to do so. Never having been here before, we shouldn't have take the girls advice and just booked anyways since we weren't able to get in after the fact we drove 40 minutes to get there. On top of this, when we arrived we we're told that the wait would be 1-1.5 hrs to race, after waiting one hour, they told us we CAN'T race at all. Adding to this, we met another group outside the building that got on the list at 8 pm, and they were told the wait would be 3 hours so they went to eat in the meantime. When they had arrived at the restaurant and sat down, they got the call that the track was ready for them to come in. Since they were busy that time they didn't get in and tried to come back later (around 10) & was just put at the end of the waitlist, all while told they might not get to race at all. Such a bad first impression, I don't recommend this place for group outings. Plan something where you'll surely know you'll get in. read more

We asked what time we should be back to get in our race and they said 30 minutes before our race. We came back and we're told we have ANOTHER 1.5-2 hour wait. When we asked why, the cashier (Ashley) lied to her manager telling her that she had clearly told us we would not be put on the wait list and we agreed to taking a risk by leaving and coming back... On top of that, when I asked the first person a question she gave me a short answer, turned around, and walked away as I was asking for clarity on her super vague answer. Waste of time. Prices are: $22 for 1 race, $38 for 2 races, $48 for 3 races. Everyone is required to buy a $6 annual membership. Races are around 8-10 min each. You wear a helmet. Super fun... Crappy, crappy customer service. Bought tickets a few weeks ago, and learned they expire in 7 days. We will be out of town for awhile and cannot attend. Have tried calling multiple times to get the full priced tickets extended, and just get hit with the same recording, saying the voicemail is full. Sounds like a lot of people are having issues with this so called company. Tried emailing as well, and no response. My brother has gone once before and really enjoyed it. It's a pity because after this we will never go again. Also, it's like 20$ for a race. Not a big issue for me. Ended up purchasing 6 races. SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I hate to leave bad reviews but this was worst time I've ever had while Go Karting, they paired me and my friends with a few randoms who struggled to drive. Which resulted in multiple stops and going half speed for 8 out of 12 laps the first race and drove 9 of the 12 laps half speed the second time. If you don't have a full 10 people who knows how to drive well then I wouldn't come to waste money here. I also ordered food (quesadilla) which was terrible as well. When I asked for the manager one came out from taking his nap in the back he was dressed like a panhandler and acted like a person with no class or etiquette! He kept arguing and calling us liars when we confronted his staff about them not being truthful of waiting to race. He said the customer is never right! 58 min for a race that costs $79 for two people isn't worth my time or money.
