When I was told I needed that much extensive work, I immediately felt something wasn't right. I decided to call my previous dentist (even though it's a longer drive) and get a second opinion. I'm very thankful I did. They confirmed I only needed 2 fillings and 1 crown which made much more sense. I'm grateful I trusted my instincts, because getting a second opinion saved me about $8,500 and prevented unnecessary dental work. It's unfortunate that patients have to seek second opinions to feel confident, but that's the reality. If you're told you need extensive or costly treatment here, I strongly recommend getting another opinion before moving forward.
