    Celestial burger with cajun fries.
    George E.

In SLC and had a hankering for a good burger, Lucky 13 showed up on many searches. This place is the definition of "a dive". They are not trying to be anything except a burger, fries and watering hole. We were age verified with a photo ID scan, never happened before, so much complaining about photo ID. We were seated and ordered the Celestial burger with bacon, caramelized onions, BBQ sauce cheddar cheese, cajun fries and a full order of beer battered rings. The burgers are huge, juicy, and almost over-sauced. The fries were coated in cajun seasoning and piping hot. The basket of rings were huge and had a good crunch. Lucky 13 is a local joint for the ballpark, burger loving crowd. Fancy is not in their wheelhouse but solid burgers live here. I enjoyed the burger, fries and rings, a real solid. If burgers with no attitude are your jam, Lucky 13 should be on your must try list. Good, solid and tasty food!

More health crap coming down the pipeline so I need to hide away and clear my mind. Retreated to my favorite spot in the neighborhood: sitting on the patio of Lucky 13. Drowning away my numbness with stains of dark beer and shots of whiskey, plus to bury my head in a basket of onion rings to try my best to get through this mess and stay strong and positive. Love the staff and atmosphere here. Sad or glade it seems the make me feel better or grounded. Thank you to Luke that kept checking up on me and making sure that I'm doing okay not just food and drink wise but emotionally. The best in time of confusion. Love this place.

I seem to be picking the gems of Salt Lake City lately! I have been wanting to go to Lucky 13 for a number of years and yet for some unknown reason, haven't. Today I went and thoroughly enjoyed it. Juan took amazing care of us, our drinks were never empty and food was fresh and tasty. They have a wide selection of drinks and flavorful burgers. The onion rings are a must!

For a bar in SLC, this place has fantastic food!! A famous burger joint that holds true to the fame. A great indoor bar vibe, they have also have plenty of patio seating for spring summer and fall. We visited today on Saint Patrick's day and had the opportunity to have their seasonal Irish-man burger topped with corned beef, beer mustard and Swiss ... fantastic.! We also got a pastrami Swiss, which was equally as good. The servers are happy to offer suggestions and keeps the drinks coming. A 10 out of 10 in any book.

The prices are ok. I had a plain hamburger with fries and didn't need to add any seasoning. J ordered a beer w/ shot of Jameson's. Buddy order a bacon cheeseburger. Good portions. The service sucked. We had 2 different servers come get our order- after we'd been sitting for 10 mins, then another 10 to get our drinks. Parking sux if its "idiot" time and you get drivers thar cant park or cant see someone trying to exit. I'd suggest parking on the street- less drama. Aside from the service, I'd go back. Food was worth the price. Be prepared for amateur service.

On a work trip with husband. We were pretty hangry after driving 5 hours. Haven't been to Utah for many years - didn't know where to go to get a decent dinner. Found this place - a little bar. The cheeseburger was super delicious and the chicken strips were "finger licking good". Staff super friendly, food came out fast and piping hot. Filled our tummies.

I haven't been here in a hot minute. I have to say I was Supercenter how great the burger was, I mean it was real good. I always felt this spot was a bit over rated and my mind has officially changed. When I'm graving a great burger I'm going to strongly consider going back. Service was great and they were busy!! Great hustle from the team!!

Came as part of 11,500 mile foodie road trip to try the big benny. Outside of the size, it was a solid burger. Enjoyed the toppings of smoked bacon, ham, cheddar, and Swiss. Onion rings were cooked awesomely. Asked for a side of their beliezian habanero puree on their spicy challenge but didn't get any more heat than a traditional hot wing. The inside has a cool vibe but didn't get the same energy from the staff...more like "just want to get through this mid-day shift" by the book vibes.

Came here for a quick bite before the game. Venue gives off a dive bar vibe on the inside with lots of screens and colored lights. Staff was overall friendly but food was really lackluster. Prices were overall reasonable, but the burger patty was too salty. It seemed to be the consensus regardless of the burger ordered that they were too overly salted. When seated we were told our server would tell us about the specials, but never heard about them so we just went off the menu. Nothing that really stood out for me here though staff was overall nice. They did have some unique burger options such as peanut butter that sounds interesting but not sure if I would return. Service: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5

The breath enhancer was delicious. It's a cool spot to enjoy a drink and have a bite. The big plus is that the burgers are actually juicy and packed with flavor. My burger was perfectly cooked to a medium. Service was fine. Only tweak I'd recommend is lowering the music volume inside, at times it was hard to have a conversation.

Just around the corner from the ballpark, Lucky 13 stands out as an unassuming place that serves up unforgettable food! Lucky 13 is a 21-and-over dive bar with the best burgers in Salt Lake. The Celestial Burger combines house-smoked bacon with sauteed onions and cheddar, delivering a savory experience that's hard to beat. Their rosemary-garlic fries complement the Celestial Burger perfectly. Their staff is attentive and always ready with a recommendation.

Do you serve Breakfast Daily or just on Sundays?

Hello, this location is on Sunday only. Our all ages sister location, Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse in Jordan Landing, serves the same brunch menu , with a couple additional items, Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Do you serve burgers during brunch hours or just breakfast?

    Just breakfast.

Is the kitchen open late at night?

    Until midnight

Does this business offer gluten-free and dairy-free options?

My wife is gluten intolerant. She orders with no bun and loves it. Dairy is really just the cheese.

What is the name of your other restaurant in Jordan Landing?

    Lucky's Iron Door Roadhouse

    Gluten free bun options?

Our gluten free options are a burger as a salad.

Are there good gluten free options? Are the fries in a dedicated fryer 🙏🏻?

We do offer our burgers on top of a salad for gluten free. The fries unfortunately share a frier.

How late can you order food on Friday?

Kitchen closes at midnight every night.

    Do you have bottomless mimosas?

Unfortunately Bottomless mimosas are illegal in the state of Utah.

If going to restaurant with kids that love burgers, can you order non alcoholic Shirley Temples?

While we could make non alcoholic Shirley Temples. Unfortunately we are a bar and everyone needs to be 21 or older with a valid ID to get in.

Will they do protein style burgers if requested?

    Yes

    Can ya watch playoff football?

    Yes!

The veggie burgers are $1 more than beef? Are you serious? What a racket.

Don't go to a place famous for burgers and order what food eats. It's like going to Starbucks and ordering hot cocoa.

The booth chairs were very soft, and a little uncomfortable compared to the table height as you sink into them. Our waitress was kind, but had a weird attitude. Someone ordered an Americano (from the menu) to which she said they didn't have espresso... she ended up bringing the Americano to him without any explanation. It was just a little odd. Someone ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer, and they were good, but I wouldn't order them again. A lot of people ordered the burger, which was overcooked for almost every person and definitely didn't seem like wagyu beef. The steak sandwich I got (pictured) was good, but it came with lettuce that had really long stems. I don't particularly enjoy eating stems, so that's as annoying. The rest of my food was delicious. ESPECIALLY the garlic aioli. I could drink that stuff! The cost did seem fair for the quality of food, but a few adjustments could be made to the cook and such. We enjoyed our time and I will definitely go back! Hopefully for some drinks next time!

Our server was funny, personable, and attentive, especially when it came to drinks and refills. Things started going downhill when I received my entree, the Poor Man's Truffle. Unfortunately, the only way this dish lived up to its name was in how little the supposedly high-quality ingredients seemed to come through. The dish itself is fairly simple, which normally isn't a bad thing when the ingredients are meant to speak for themselves. With Belper Knolle, truffle oil, pistachio pesto, tomato, fennel, and arugula, I expected something flavorful and well balanced. Instead, the entire dish tasted incredibly mild. Belper Knolle is typically a bold, salty, peppery cheese, and I could visibly see the black pepper around the edges of the thin shavings, but the flavor barely registered. I also couldn't taste the truffle oil at all. There was visible oil pooling at the bottom of the plate, but no noticeable truffle flavor. I understand pistachio pesto tends to be more subtle than a traditional basil pesto, but altogether, this dish just fell completely flat for me. The presentation didn't help either. It looked more like something that had been scooped from a pan and dropped onto the plate than a thoughtfully plated entree. When a dish misses both on flavor and presentation, that's when it becomes a real disappointment for me. I will say the gnocchi itself was cooked well, which was one of the few positives. I also tried the burger, and it was significantly better than my pasta. However, the very small sprinkle of bacon was a little baffling considering it was an additional upcharge. Where the night really went downhill was at the end of the meal. I had been excited to try the beignets because that isn't a dessert I see on menus very often. Our entree plates were cleared, and then we waited about 20 minutes before our server returned and asked whether we were ready for the check. Dessert wasn't mentioned, and by that point our table was tired of waiting, so we decided to skip it and asked for our checks. Then our server disappeared for another 30 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a hostess who was seating another table and let her know that we were still waiting for the check. About five minutes later, our server finally returned and casually explained how "crazy" the night had gotten because of the show. I understand restaurants get busy, but the apology felt very dismissive after we had waited nearly an hour from finishing our entrees to finally receiving the check. It genuinely felt like our table had simply been forgotten. I also want to add that I tend to hold restaurants like this to a higher standard. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for." If I'm eating at a fast-food spot or somewhere inexpensive and casual, there's only so much room to complain. But when a restaurant has prices like this, highlights premium ingredients on the menu, and presents itself as a more elevated dining experience, I think that naturally opens the food and service up to more criticism. At that price point, I expect the quality, presentation, and overall experience to reflect what I'm paying for. My final takeaway is that maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Pesto is one of my favorite things, so I almost always want to give a pesto-based dish a try. Unfortunately, Prohibition's pesto gnocchi was not it for me. I also saw that they describe themselves as a scratch kitchen using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, which I don't necessarily doubt. What confused me was how so many ingredients that should have distinct flavors somehow tasted like almost nothing. If your goal is interesting drinks and a fun show, this is probably still a place worth considering. Since we sat outside, I can't speak on the show part, but it seems to be a big hit. Food-wise, though, it missed the mark for me.

In full transparency it has been 2-3 years since my first and last visit to Water Witch. I noticed this in my drafts and thought I should complete my review. That said, I think I hyped this place up in my head too much before my visit because of the James Beard nod. So when it didn't quite hit the mark for me, I was disappointed. It's quite an intimate bar. By that I mean small space inside. The main bar has seating of course and there are a few seating areas directly behind the barstool area. There is a small walkway that separates the bar and the seating area. So the seating area is looking straight forward at the bartenders and the backs of people on barstools. I felt like the people behind me were staring into my soul lol, but that's a me problem ha. It's a modern design and beautifully decorated. I had two drinks. One from the menu and one that I told the bartender what I liked and disliked. He then made a drink based upon my taste. In my opinion it tasted similar to the one from the menu, which was disappointing because I was hoping for something different. There was one bartender that evening and one bar back, so even with the few people at the bar (I'd say 6-7 including me and a guest) and the 4 people seated behind us. It took some time to get his attention and order a drink. Which is part of the reason I only had two drinks. I would probably give this place another try since it's been some time since I've been there. As I always like to say. Stop in and judge for yourself.
