    Primer paint in bathroom

WARNING! This company is most likely the worst in the entire Chicagoland area! I contracted Paul Davis Restoration to restore my home after a fire caused some damage. My home was inhabitable while construction was being done so my family stayed in a hotel near by. I stopped by my home randomly and found an employees car parked in my driveway with one of my daughter's toys on the dashboard. Hmmmm! What else are they taking?? Well I spoke to the owner and let him know this was not ok and he agreed. He promised me nothing else would be taken and that the employee in question was now " fired". At this point I'm very frustrated with the whole process but we need the house fixed and we want to move back into our home. So we continue on with this awful company. I should have known something was really wrong when he kept telling me he can't finish the job until he gets my insurance check. So. I give him the check and he shakes my hand and we agree he will finish up and do a good job. The day comes to inspect and start moving home and we find they have done a very poor job on the reconstruction of my townhome. Well boy was my face red. I felt stupid and quite frankly, taken advantage of. I made a huge mistake working with the owner of this business. I trusted him to do a good job and he did the opposite. I will admit that it is my fault that I paid him for the work before doing a thorough inspection of the work that was done. They did a horrible job installing new wood floors and terrible at interior painting. It was as if a child had done the work. They only primed the walls and never put a finishing coat and the "brand new" wood floors have large gaps with huge scratches on almost every board. I reached out and told them that it needs fixed and I was met with laughing and was told that he would not be doing anything else to fix my concerns. I complained to my insurance company and was told there is nothing they can do since Paul Davis Restoration is not a preferred provider. Which is a whole other story for another time. I do not believe I will ever be satisfied with this company and the only thing I can do now is let people know how awful they are. IMO this company stinks! Also the owner is personally threatening me if I don't take down my review.

My family is going through a loss due to a house fire. Omar was the first person to assist us since the damage and has been nothing but professional and empathetic. I can tell we are a priority and he has made himself available for any questions at all times. They have come quickly and started taking out the damages promptly as well as being diligent to salvage what can be restored.

Non responsive and rude. Didn't come to finish a job they had started that had issues.

A few weeks later a neighbors fridge water line failed causing water to leak into my kitchen. I called the same team who fixed my bathroom, this time they were out within 3 hours to assess damage. The next day a crew was out to mitigate, with repair morning after. When you have to do this work it's very stressful, especially when you lose part of your kitchen for a time. But the RRR crew was great to work with, patient with my questions, and accommodating to requests (including wearing masks as I had a 2-week old newborn at home). I've used another service (CWF) and did not have the same experience at all.

I am now confident that I will continue to receive the service for which Bewise Master is known. Original review (including concerns related to what really just amounted to a communication lapse caused, ironically, by exceptionally fast & attentive service): In preparation for a recent move, I called Bewise Master for cleaning of two 9' x 12' wool area rugs. While not priceless antiques, each represented an investment, and I wanted a thorough cleaning before placement in our new home. Bewise Master has a great reputation in the area, and after a quick phone call with Kyle, during which methods and cost were discussed, I was told there was someone in my area who could pick my rugs up immediately. I was so pleased with the prompt service that it was not until after our move that it dawned on me that I'd received no receipt or formal acknowledgement that Bewise Master had taken possession of my rugs. All I was given was the driver's business card. I of course contacted them immediately, and I was reassured that this oversight was simply due to the fact that pickup had been so immediate. I was told the cleaning/drying process took a couple of weeks, as well. Given that (a) I still have boxes on the floor where the rugs will be placed, and (b) the movers' estimate was woefully low and I ended up paying twice what I anticipated (at a time when $$ are low, anyway--moving is expensive!), I am not in a hurry to have my rugs returned. That's not the source of my concern at all. Rather, I am, concerned about the rugs' whereabouts. I'd like written acknowledgement that they have been taken to the shop, and have been correctly identified as mine. At this point, I envision them adorning someone else's dining and living rooms, lying unidentified in a warehouse, or rolling around in a van because no one knows whose they are. Guys: the two tufted wool 9' x 12' Pottery Barn rugs are mine, and I'd like them back some day. In the meantime, I'd be grateful for acknowledgement they are in the shop, identified as mine. They were not inexpensive--at least not to me. I know others have rugs worth many times the amount I spent on mine. But mine are, well, *mine.* They are anchors in my home. They tie our rooms together and create warmth, both literally and figuratively. They were where my kids crawled and opened their Christmas presents. I like them and want to know that I will, indeed, see them again. I hope they haven't fallen through the cracks or been lost in the shuffle. I will be delighted to revise my review when there is resolution.

We contact multiple vendors to come and looks at the issue, but none were as thorough and experienced as Mark and his team. From the beginning to end, the experience has been stellar. Mark arrived to look at the issue promptly. He was able to identify the issue accurately and was honest about the necessary scope of the remediation work. (Other vendors suggest a smaller fix which ,in hindsight, would not have solved our issue in the long run and would require additonal work later on) Throughout the entire process, he constantly communicated the progress of the work and kept us update on the schedule, something that we appreciate since its the first time we have to deal with mold and water issues. Last but not least, Mark and his team take great care in carrying out the work and handling our belongings in the work area. If you need any restoration work done, I definitely recommend Quality Assurance Restoration.

I contacted a few different people, but Mark was the first to be willing to make it out to us that same day. After checking out the damage, he put my mind at ease and gave us the rundown of his plan of running a few fans and dehumidifiers in our utility closest and in the crawlspace. I asked him a bunch of questions I had, and he answered each one with ease and helped me understand what was going on. In the end, Mark and his team set up the fans and dehumidifiers in the spaces and left them for a few days. We were considering getting new tiling and he recommended Jose from Neza Restoration & Repair. Jose and Fernando also did a really good job. What makes Mark stand out from the rest is his availability, clear communication, and just being a down to earth guy. I felt I could trust Mark, and may have overstepped when asking for advice outside of water damage, but was he willing in answering and helping me out. God forbid I have more water damage in my future, but if I do, Mark and his team are the first ones I'll contact. And I'll be referring them to every person I know seeking water damage help from now on.

Stay away. Read the owners response to bad reviews (yelp or google) he argues with all customers…read more That says a lot. Professional companies do not do this even if they believe they're correct. When trashing drywall and materials as expected, they were not supposed to trash anything personal. When the trash bags were outside we found a trophy, old family photos, blankets, medals and more (some in photos). I don't know if I missed more, I hope not. Owner claims we are liars and did not look through bags. I attached camera proof of me looking through the trash because of this. Don't know why he would think this is a lie because I can prove I did. Company showed up announced last day to pickup machines, 2 hours after scheduled time. Owner claims we "screamed and called them names," during this interaction. We have cameras and this encounter on video. No voices were raised or names called. That is pure slander and untrue. Company would leave after 2 hours of work and say they need to return next day (more than once), after you've already taken the day off. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, owner responds, said I called him/his company names, yelled, was "abusive", that I messaged him on weekends, and much more. All of these things are slander, I was nothing but kind to them. Phone records, cameras, and photos prove I have never called this person on a weekend and his other claims are lies. Company does messy work, randomly will damage things (shown in photos). Mold inspector said he can tell his work was not properly contained, this is a health risk. He also said 8,316 dollars is ridiculous for what was done. I showed company owner black mold on baseboards prior to work (pictures show). It was left and my home has failed the 2nd (final) test. Owner had a problem with us keeping our animals locked away during work. We made sure we were home and told him many times to let us know when they need to enter that room with the animals for work, they failed to ever inform us when they want to enter the room and then blamed never getting to it on us. Company left our front and back door wide open for extended periods, as long as 3 hours sometimes, for anything to get in. Owner claims he knew the first air test would fail and I wasted my money. I have a message from him on 01/15 of him claiming otherwise, I will attach it below. After feeling the work was done (shown via text), an air test failed, and owner claimed he absolutely never thought the work was done. Another example of random unprofessional lies. After this test fail, owner said our bar NEEDS to be gone to pass. So I allowed him to rip it up, re clean basement and tested again. Test failed again, so the bar is gone for nothing. I hardly spoke to his employees besides an occasional thank you, and owner says one "quit because of me." Then he said he fired one over me. Thy makes 0 sense. Company unplugged our basement fridge and we didn't notice for days. I asked them to please leave original doors and frames, they ripped every single frame up anyway. I would've allowed them to if they told me they needed to. Owner said we had a pipe leak. Within 24 hours I had a plumber out who fixed it. Later on owner claimed we "had a bathroom flooding the basement and argued with him about it," this is an example of the owners slander. I can prove I had a plumber there asap and never argued so I don't understand the random lies. This review is to warn.
