Absolutely do NOT use their renovation department, get your own contractor, but they are good with demolition/saving our property values. I had 245 boxes and went through every single of them, they have handled them with grace and patience. The services were quick, I had a bad flood in the basement after Labor Day weekend in 2025, and the services were less than two weeks with demolition/storing our personal properties. However, the restoration, they didn't come until December, and it was SO cold in the house. Our winter clothes and heater were already in the storage. They were kind nice to bring the heater over, but the waiting time is ridiculous. They have claimed that they would start the project by Halloween and finishing it up by November. NOPE. December came, they were at my house for two weeks, but they did not complete the job. They left the mess outside of the backyard and my son fell onto their materials in the basement that they have left. I was so livid and threw them away at the front of the house. They have the audacity to say that the project is completed but I sent the pictures to insurance, they are dealing with them. They came by February to pick up the materials outside of the house which was hazardous because of insulation and dry walls. They could not because it was so cold and they froze into the ground. They came by again to shovel them out of the ground. A huge mess. They should be removed from their suggested list. By the way, it's May 2026, and they are not even here yet to complete the project. Paul Davis Restoration was recommended by Allstate Insurance Co. following a kitchen fire at my house in March, 2024. They were slow and exaggerated the nature of the restoration. Ed the project manager said we would have to vacate the house for 6 months because of a "kitchen fire" was unheard of! Bottom line is they ended up breaking the glass in our kitchen window, refused to replace it or compensate us for this additional loss, lied, stole personal items that they claimed were "non-salvageable" and moved slow or never showed at all. Installed cabinets improperly damaging our electrical lines for dishwasher and refrigerator. 2. Used electrical tape to secure the water line for the dishwasher. 3. Stay FAR away from Paul Davis Restoration!! Our insurance company recommended them after we had a pipe burst. They came to our house, plugged in a fan & dehumidifier & left. Two days later they came back & picked up their equipment. We then received a bill for $939! I called & sent emails asking to speak to someone about my invoice because I could not believe they were charging us so much for basically coming to my house & plugging in equipment. After a month, they FINALLY called me back. When I asked about specific charges, they did not explain anything but just asked what they had to do to get me to pay them. We reached an agreement, & I was under the impression that I'd be hearing from their accounting department about our new invoice. Never heard anything. Never allow these people into your home. Every single person lies. My 82-year-old parents had a fire at their house. Even though they were assured by everyone at Paul Davis that they would handle my parents' situation carefully to avoid paying anything out of pocket, my parents ended up paying $10k after insurance reimbursement. Paul Davis knew what the insurance company would pay out, but because my parents had to pay up front and then get reimbursed, they charged them egregious amounts of money. For example, they charged $20k to "clean" the house, not performing many of the items listed in their estimate, after finding out that my parents' had a $20k deductible on their insurance. After a 6-week delay on getting a quote for the restoration, work finally began. Even though an estimate was provided that quoted 200 sq feet of stucco repair and a $1,600 adder for invisible deck hangers, they proceeded to do a 5-foot patch and use DeckMate screws to butcher the install of the composite deck boards. And told me it looked fine and, "I'd walk on it." (I wish I could attach a picture.) They actually tried to charge my parents for the original amount! After redoing the work, it then took three weeks and 6 communications to get an invoice from them to submit for insurance reimbursement. And you read how that went. If Paul Davis magically shows up on your doorstep after a catastrophe (fire truck chasers), tell them to leave. They talk a fabulous game but mean none of it. read more

Paul Davis did disaster repair on my home in 2016. The work was fine, though I did need to call other companies like Servpro to complete tasks they simply missed. The people who worked on my home were pleasant and reassuring. The problem with Paul Davis is an extreme lack of organization. Two years after the incident, they sent me an additional invoice that I had never seen before, stating that I owed $$ to the tune of 10K. Being that my insurance company, Liberty Mutual, had covered the entire claim, I knew I owed Paul Davis nothing. I called the person in accounting, and reached her at home, her children noisy in the background. I don't mind people working from home--I understand it. But the woman didn't pay attention to what I was saying, and failed to take one step to resolve the situation. Soon, Paul Davis sent the erroneous amount they had billed me for two years on from the claim (not only was the amount erroneous; it was completely fantasized, it seems) to Collections. The Collections bill? 14K. No rhyme or reason. Though Paul Davis now knows they made a mistake and that the invoices they sent overlap, and though my insurance company has agreed to pay for any $$ owed (once Paul Davis figures it out--they have no clue what is owed, or why, or even IF any amount is due), they have still not revoked the bill from Collections. The economic crisis hitting us all does not have any effect on their timeline. I told them I'm in the process of a refinance and need this situation corrected. No matter. Stay away. And if you need disaster recovery help, make sure you keep receipts, photocopies of checks, notations of the exact job the check you send to your company is for. This is a nightmare. I thought it was over four years ago. The CEO has been copied on all my correspondence. Next stop: legal action. read more

HORRIBLE experience with this location. Our attic AC Unit leaked and damaged our bedroom ceiling. Paul Davis was referred to us by our insurance company and the appointment was set up through them. The servicemen did a good job removing the ceiling and did a decent job cleaning up after themselves. The removal was done in August, but needed a few weeks to come back and finish patching up the ceiling. So half of our bedroom ceiling was covered with a tarp, and said the office would schedule a follow appointment. No one ever followed up with us. I reached out in mid September, and they gave me a lame excuse that 2 servicemen quit and they were backed up 3-4 weeks. I reluctantly agreed to the new date. Come the week of the new appointment, I called to confirm if it was still on. Sure enough, they screwed up yet again. This time, they gave a lame excuse that the Project Manager assigned to our job left the company and weren't going to be able to get us in until November/December. I guess their PMs have everything written down on post it notes, and don't use a database of any sort. I mean, seems legitimate for a company of this standard - right? During that time, I tried to have our insurance find a new company, but it would've taken just as long to find a new one. So I gave Paul Davis one last chance, but now it being December (and starting to get cold out) they have the nerve to say "we'll try to squeeze you in before Christmas" as if they're doing me a favor. So I had enough and said no thanks, and asked to FedEx my $400 deposit for the work back to me. And guess what? 6 days later and no check. CLASS ACTS!! read more
