Worst pizza of my life! Ordered Canadian bacon and pineapple, which ended up being greasy bacon crumbles, it was not Canadian bacon. There was such little sauce on the pizza I had to lift the toppings to see if there was any there -which I couldn't even saw it was a small amount- a dusting of sauce was there. I first became a fan of Paul Revere's several years back when I worked near the Kirkwood location and regularly bought my employees lunch. Now that I've moved, this location across from Theisen's has been my personal go to. I mostly order online for delivery, which made for a good chuckle once when I showed up and one of the employees said they had been worried I mistakenly ordered carry out. I prefer them over any big chain brand and they have great deals whether you're feeding just yourself or a whole crowd. Decided to try this place as it was close to where I was staying and their photos suggested they had a NY style crust, which is my favorite. Delivery was prompt, even quicker than they had estimated. The pizza is really good, surprisingly good actually for Iowa, with chewy but soft crust and decent quantity and quality of toppings. Price (26$ including tax and delivery) for a 14" pizza (called large) was a bit steep, but for a quick bite when you're in the area, not bad at all. read more

Ordered the Terminator and breadsticks 2 weeks ago and got the $24.99 offer for a 1 topping pizza. I placed the EXACT same order again and it was $31? I ordered 1 topping of pepperoni on 75% of the pizza. I then ordered 1 topping of mushroom on the remaining 25% of the pizza. No 2 toppings overlap on any part of the pizza. Only 1 topping but the 2nd time I placed the SAME order they said it didn't qualify as a one topping pizza. I told the person they honored this 2 weeks ago. The employee walks over to a manager and points at me. He says "you deal with that...I am not going to argue with THAT!" The manager walks over and says he won't honor the price as one topping. So I tell him I don't want to pay $5+ more for having 25% of "1" topping as mushroom. I waited and the manager said nothing. So after 25+ years of being a Paul Reveres Pizza customer I walked out. I then ordered pizzas and breadsticks at another pizza company. I will not be ordering my usual 2-5 orders a month anymore. Customer service doesn't exist so no need to have this customer. read more

I was at a hotel downtown and asked the front desk if they had a pizza delivery place they recommended. They told me Paul Revere's. I was disappointed. The pizza is very, very one note. This seemed like the kind of pizza you would get by the slice from a truck stop gas station. I also ordered the wings. They were roasted in the oven and terribly underdone, so they were just fatty and chewy. Finally, the desert breadsticks were probably the highlight. However, they came wrapped up in a ball in a bunch of tinfoil, causing me think that my order had been mangled by the delivery driver. I've since come to learn that Paul Revere's always delivers their breadsticks in this manner. But if you are not expecting a ball of breadsticks in tinfoil, the presentation can be a little off putting. read more

Great buffalo chicken pizza. 12" was a little pricey but I was able to apply a coupon to bring it down a bit.

Nothing receives 5 stars from me as there is always room for improvement. That being said, this is our favorite pizza in town. The bread sticks are amazing, pizza so satisfying...especially with bacon on top! Haven't had their dessert pizza, but as far as easy, reliable and affordable, this is the best! read more

I have previously reviewed Paul Revere's with a higher rating. However, I have ordered one type of pizza, their chicken taco supreme and they have three times now, brought the wrong pizza. The first time I let it go, the second time they gave me a credit and the third time, I made them bring me the correct pizza. Of course, by then, the appetizers were cold. The last pizza, I asked to have onions added to the toppings and they included a cup of cold onions. I wanted onions baked into the pizza, not cold onions to put on top. I don't think it takes rocket science to bake onions into the pizza. I order for myself and a lot of times, for meetings at work. I will switch to Casey's if this is the consistent service I get from Paul Revere's. I called their corporate office to file a complaint. One mistake, I can understand, several mistakes, which is usually the same mistake, (multiple times) is poor management and a lack of integrity for the service they provide. Go elsewhere. I'm sure there has to be other pizza delivery places that get your order right the first time. read more
