As someone who was planning her own wedding and did not have a coordinator, I very much appreciated his guidance and wisdom since he has so much experience with shooting weddings! On the day of, we were running late in the morning, but Justin showed up early and even kindly stayed 20 minutes later than scheduled to make sure we could squeeze in all the group pictures that we wanted. Also, to both of our surprises, my uncle showed up with a camera, but Justin was very understanding and accommodating about the matter and made sure both he and my uncle were able to capture shots without getting in each other's ways. Justin did such a wonderful job positioning my husband and me for shots. We did not really come with any ideas in mind, but Justin had such a wide array of poses, both direct and candid, that we absolutely loved. He also did such a great job showcasing both of us individually and fluffing my train/highlighting the beauty of my wedding dress! If I could give zero stars I would…read more I was talking with this photographer for a month, trying to find a date to do Mother's Day photos. We finally confirmed a date for May 2nd, and she emailed saying that "in order to secure the date, I need to send a deposit of $500.00." I asked to have a phone call before I just Zelle money to a random person, but she said she doesn't take phone calls from clients because she's too busy. She then said there is someone else wanting May 2nd and for me to hurry with the deposit. So I went ahead with good faith and Zelle'd her $500.00 on Friday. She sent me her contract Friday night, which was Passover, so we were busy with the family holiday and didn't get a chance to fully review the contract until Sunday morning. Which at that point, she emailed me saying that May 2nd is no longer available, and the contract had been canceled. I sent the deposit with the confirmation that it was to secure the May 2nd date. There's no other date that works for my family, so I asked for a refund since she can no longer honor the agreed date. At first, she said no, her policy is no refunds on deposits. She then said, okay, she will refund me but it will take 3 business days. And now she is completely refusing to refund us, and stopped all communication, and said she's reporting us to her bank as fraud! Like, are you kidding me! She blatantly stole money from us! It's clear this lady is a professional scam artist and does this shady stuff often. I should have known when she refused to speak with me on the phone. Red flag! We honestly don't know what to do, or how to get our money back. As a client I would beware of this lady! It's so sad how dishonest some people are. I believe in Karma and I know karma will do its job with this lady!

I had followed Paul for years on Facebook/Instagram before finally selecting him to shoot our wedding. His naturalistic style and knack for shooting far more than the basic wedding shots had always intrigued me. We got married on April Fool's Day, which fell on a Tuesday. He was incredibly accommodating. He arrived on time and scouted out the 36 acre ranch where we wed. Some of my favorite shots are of our first look, where he picked a location that I would have never picked; it was up against an old storage truck. While I never doubted his ability, I also never thought that the photos would come out as stunningly beautiful as they did. He made choices to shoot my bridesmaids and groomsmen in two separate areas and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. When it came to the ceremony, he captured the sheer joy that we experienced that day, and I cannot say enough about the reception photos. We are not your average couple, and I didn't ever want to have just average wedding photos. Paul went above and beyond. I honestly feel like most of my photos could be magazine worthy. We received sneak peak photos within a months time and had over 900 edited photos received within 2-3 months. If I were to do it all over again, I would still pick him over any other photographer, hands down. Not only does he have an incredible eye, but he is charming and personable to boot! Can't beat that! Paul was by far our favorite vendor on our wedding day. He is so easy to work with and personable. From about 10 minutes into our first phone call with him we knew he was our photographer. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, made us feel comfortable about a couple timeline issues we knew we were going to run into and adjusted his collections for us to meet our budget. We shot engagement or images with him at the beach and in the hills for a rustic and Californian vibe (we sprung for the two location package). The images came out amazing. On our wedding day he showed up a bit early and jumped right into taking incredible images of my dress and bouquet. I am so happy I have those pictures now...although I will be honest and say it was funny to watch him obsess over the flowers at the time. ;) (sorry pvr). He is very low key during the day and blends in with guests which is nice because it seemed like we received a lot of amazing candid images. It was very challenging selecting a wedding photographer. We are based out of New York and were getting married in Napa so picking the person who we were going to entrust with our best memories was a pretty big task, especially from across the country. We found Paul on the recommendation of our planner and had two skype phone calls with him. He explained everything to us and answered all of our questions in a way that made it easy to understand (you only get married once and there was a lot of things we were unsure about). Paul's imagery and undeniable enthusiasm for working with his clients sold us completely. We love our images an have three large prints on our wall. He was able to make us both comfortable in front of the camera and gave us a some wonderful images of us laughing and having fun together as well as some romantic images. If you're looking for a photographer who is going to photograph your wedding in an amazing way then Paul is your guy. He shot both our engagement session and wedding day. He was really easy to work with, very organized and professional, but also very fun at the same time. I've had incredible amounts of people ask who our photographer was because the images are just so beautiful. The images were delivered via an online gallery and a fast digital download. The majority were color, but we did get quite a few B&Ws as well, which suits me fine. I love black and white. . Image turn around was reasonable considering he shoots a mix of ACTUAL film and digital. I couldn't be happier with my decision to hire Paul. Do yourself a favor and hire him or you will likely disappointed in the long run (I say this solely based off of knowing I have the best looking wedding photos of all of my friends. Paul is amazing! He has taken our family photos twice and his pictures are incredible. Children are unpredictable and the last time he took our pictures, our 2.5 year old refused to cooperate. On top of that it started to mist/sprinkle during the middle of the pictures, and I had to stop to feed my fussy 5 month old at one point. Paul was extremely patient and laughed through all of the obstacles that day, reassuring us he was getting good shots. I thought these pictures are doomed. I told myself, "if I get 3 decent pictures I'll be happy." To my amazement, I received a zillion truly wonderful pictures! I don't know how Paul did it, but he captured a smiling 2.5 year old, a cherub-like baby, and two glowing parents. I first met Paul when he was the photographer at my sister's wedding. He was great to work with and her photos were AH-mazing. I wish I could have hired him to take MY wedding photos! A few years later, we hired Paul for a family photo shoot, our first one! :) It was a difficult day for us (husband found out he didn't get a job he had interviewed for) but we were trying to make the best of it. Paul was fantastic. His friendly, positive attitude and how he interacted with my kids totally changed the day around for us. I was extremely nervous to be a 50 year old bride. I didn't want to look like an "older" bride and Paul captured my happiness that day and I never looked more beautiful in my life. Oma was the perfect photographer for my headshots! He is easy to contact and quick to respond. He also returns the finished product promptly. He takes charge and organizes everyone easily. You get a variety of pictures and each picture comes with a variety of filters if you ask for them. Oma also traveled for me so I could take my shoot at my desired location. I'm wearing practically no makeup, hair was, well, a step up from bedhead, and this image is unretouched. But I love it, and others from that surprise session. The workshop was a blast as well, with Val and Stephanie working with photographers of varying abilities.

He does an above and beyond amazing job with our photos and video! The video clip he makes for us is so good that many of our guests including the groom get emotional watching it during our wedding reception as a surprise video clip. The engagement photo slide shows are constantly playing of our beautiful photos; we get endless compliments from our guests. Our first session of engagement photo is canceled after Erick spending half a day taking us to LA because the sun is too bright that he doesn't like the quality of his production plus my make up doesn't turn out well as I have anticipated it to be. He offers to redo the entire engagement photo session again another day without any extra charge. We are totally shock of his kindness and professionalism. We are extremely grateful and happy to have known such a highly professional photographer & videographer like Erick!
