Not bad price on first look (comparatively nowadays), and definitely no question about worth of sandwich when I got it; if anything, was a deal. Huge, fresh, unique and amazing to the last bite. When we arrived, two of their most popular sandwiches (which were featured in the viral video) had been sold out, so we were unable to try them. That just means another opportunity to visit later! The shop itself is small, but mighty. They have a limited menu of cold or hot sandwiches as well as cannolis, fresh sausage, red sauce, and small marketplace-like items to purchase to go. My boyfriend and I shared the Italian smash Sando. I think what impressed me most was that not only was it made with their fresh sausage, but it is also made with their own focaccia bread. All the ingredients just felt so fresh and flavorful. The sandwiches are on the higher end, but it easily serves two people making it such a great deal. We also bought two cannolis to try. Just tried their italian Dip sandwich after a couple of guys at work suggested it and it's good; the pork and beef sausage with mushrooms and cheese make for a very filling lunch. Thought I'd give a couple of sandwiches a try and so happy I did! The Hazy Cowboy is just bursting with flavor that made me eat the whole half in about 10 minutes. I don't go to very mini sandwich places but I saw the pictures of the sandwich online and it looked really good. When I first walked in I was greeted with a smile from the lady at the front. She was warm and welcoming and asked what I wanted. I gave her my order of Italian sandwich with focaccia. Then she asked if I wanted a cannoli and then they had some pesto pasta. I'm a big fan of pesto so I gave that a shot. The sandwich is wonderful. It's one of the best things I've had in a long time sandwich wise. The ratio of meat to bread is what Italian sandwiches are all about. The ingredients tasted fresh and the homemade focaccia bread okay is super soft and flavorful. I would order the bread alone if that was all I was craving. The bread is out of this world. The pesto salad. I have no idea what's in it besides pesto tomatoes, the pasta and some sort of nut but it all hits differently. I usually just get pesto salad from Safeway or something like that, but this place alone changed my perspective of the pesto salad. The banana cream canola is not too hard. Has a nice crunch to it. The banana cream itself isn't too sweet. It is a delight to eat. You don't feel sick from too much sugar after eating it. You can eat a few of these and be okay but I think about one or two of these is good enough. I'm going to come back here again and try out their smash sandwich. I'm sure it's as good as the normal sandwiches, but since that was already so good I need to try the other items on the menu also. read more

Lives up to the hype!! I had the Hazy Cowboy Smash Sandwich. Possibly the best sandwich I've ever had. The bread which I believe was focaccia was so damn great. Everything in the sandwich worked perfectly together. My son had the Italian Cold Cut Sandwich. I tired a bite of it, and it was really really good. The bread once again was amazing. All topping very fresh. We didn't customize anything on either sandwich. Probably would add some condiments like a garlic aioli or something just to give it a little something extra. The sandwiches are a bit expensive, but they're also much larger than pretty much anywhere I've been. Also with the fresh & delicious ingredients it's definitely worth it. A lot of people could probably be content with half a sandwich. We took a couple pounds of sausages to go. Haven't tried them yet, it they look amazing in the display. If I could give Paulo Sausage a million stars, I would! We've been completely obsessed since the first time we stumbled across their booth at the Brentwood Farmers Market about a year and a half ago. Their sausages are next level, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we recently tried their beef Bolognese sauce and lasagna. OH. MY. GOD. Paulo Sausage is a great new addition to Pittsburg! With plenty of parking, we easily made our way into the store with no wait (it was a Friday 30 minutes before closing.) They have 2 large tables outside and 1 large table inside for dining. They offer an amazing variety of crafted sandwiches, and I can't wait to try more, but we decided on the Meatball Sub. It was $15.50 with 3 of their homemade meatballs on a soft roll. The sandwich was delicious. It wasn't too saucy or messy, had amazing flavor, and we were able to split between two people. For dessert, we couldn't pass up the cannolis. They had sold out of the flavor of the day but were now offering the Original cannolis. I don't remember how much they were, but they now hold the title of my favorite local cannoli! The shells are imported from Italy, and the filling is made in house. Try one and I promise you'll be obsessed!! The owner was so sweet and gave us a complimentary piece of their focaccia pizza. The focaccia was incredible -- so soft, airy, & bouncy. What a great place to have this in town. I'm so glad I saw this on instagram. Pittsburg needs more business like this. We ordered the Italian Dip and it was amazing. We had the special which was a sausage and peppers sandwich (we picked sundried tomato mozzarella sausage) and a meatball sandwich. Both were packed with meat and quality ingredients. The sauce in the meatball sub was delicious! The bread tastes fresh and doesn't fall apart. They have bottled sodas, which is pretty cool. We went home with a pound of Chicken Curry sausage, half a leftover sausage sandwich and a 5 pack of traditional cannoli. Service was quick. We were helped by one of owners and she was super friendly and helpful. The space has a table inside and a couple of tables outside. It's clean and welcoming. We will probably be back next week!
