I wanted to give this Italian deli a try, so I decided to go with their Dagwood Sandwich. When I looked at the menu for online ordering, I got super confused because they had the Dagwood listed under 3 different sections. 2 of them had a starting price of around $17, while one had a starting price of around $13. I figured I'd go with the $13 one, why not? Then I quickly realized that the ordering system was a whole mess. It gave me the option to customize my sandwich, but some of the required fields didn't make any sense at all. For example, I don't like olives, but it required me to select olives. Then there were 2 separate sections for extra meat and extra ingredients, and those were required too, and both came with additional charges!!! I thought requiring customers to add extra ingredients and charging them extra because of that was totally ridiculous. If I don't want extra meat or extra ingredients, I should be able to leave those options blank and still place my order. But I couldn't proceed to place my order if I didn't select those. I ended up trying to go with the $17 option instead with minimal customization options. I eventually just placed the order, went to the store, and picked it up. As for the sandwich itself, it was pretty standard in size and the quality was decent, but there really wasn't much going on inside. It was basically just bread, meat, and cheese. There weren't even any vegetables! No lettuce whatsoever. I thought that was really weird for a sandwich to be very bare like this, especially given that the final total cost was $19 for a single sandwich from a small deli. I expected a lot more from a sandwich at that price! Again, the sandwich wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was worth $19. read more

I've been wondering about this place for some time due to looking for places to pick up deli platters. Today, with a little time in between pickleball and a massage, I made here to Luigi's. It looks a bit forgotten because it's in an older shopping center that doesn't have much foot traffic which always draws me even more to support a local business. It was easy to order my turkey sandwich with provolone and all the way (lettuce, pickles, red onion, tomato, mayo and mustard) on a Dutch crunch roll. I was pretty hungry so I turned on the AC and took a couple bites. Ah, just the way I love a sandwich! Meaty, a bit heavy on the mayo and a good roll to hold it all in. I saved half for the hubby and he liked the sandwich as well. I will definitely come here again to try a different sandwich. Plenty of parking, easy access. Went in for lunch on Sunday where we were greeted by two very friendly workers. The place was big and clean with 12 or so tables. There were many amazing looking items in the deli case like pastas and sides. I ordered the Luciano Pavarotti and my friends ordered the Italian Dagwood. Each sandwich was made with freshly sliced meat to order. The sandwiches took about 10 minutes to make, but all good things take time. The first thing we noticed was how large the sandwich was. When we unwrapped them, each sandwich was well proportioned with meat, bread, and trimmings. The star of the show was the Dutch Crunch roll - it was soft and fresh with a little crunch on the outside - just how I like it. And the garlic mayo was perfect for me, but I could see how some might think there was a tad too much. I could have stopped after eating half, but it was too good to risk my wife eating the other half if I took it home. Don't come looking for a restroom at Luigi's or any store in the entire strip mall on a Sunday because you won't find one. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sandwiches and I highly recommend checking this place out. I'll be back. read more

An unexpected little gem! I came here and got sandwiches for myself and my friend. We both were super pleased. I got the Big Daddy and boy is it big! My girlfriend got the Luciano Pavoratti. Service was quick and friendly. I got in and out in less than 10 minutes. I thought about using an app like door dash or ordering through yelp before I got there but decided against it because I couldn't customize my sandwich (no tomato's!). Sadly disappointed... Been coming here for 40+ years, and was sadly disappointed with what I received on 6/13/26. No lettuce, sliver of onion, 1 slice of tomato, and no swiss on the ham and swiss that was written on the wrapper. The Dagwood had nothing but a slice of tomato. Was out running errands and got hungry on the way home. Yelp'd the closest sandwich shop and Luigi's popped up. It wasn't very busy when I came in, although to their credit it was a Monday at 11am. The food case seemed a little barren and not necessarily fresh, but didn't look bad at all. I had to look over the menu a bit. I'm pretty classic with my sandwich choice - ham and cheese. I saw a prosciutto sandwich that I can't wait to try next time, but settled on the Dagwood. Holy moly this thing is huuuuuuge!! And it was so delicious! My rookie mistake was assume it came with lettuce. I took my sandwich without onions or tomatoes so it was missing a fresh element which was my mistake. The ingredients were listed correctly on the menu. Can't wait to go back. True, the prices are pricey (just like most things these days) but I appreciate the serving! That lanky Asian girl working here today 3/4 @ 1pm-130pm needs to be fired. I called for an order for a Tuscan veggie with avocodo and turkey- she told me 20 mins. I thought perfect, it takes 20 minutes to get there. TELL ME WHY I GET THERE AND they haven't started because they didn't have my bread. But no call nothing. Didn't ask for my name when I ordered and I'm so surprised they don't have caller ID this day and age- on top of that, she's probably why the rating is so LOW. Great place to grab a lunch sandwich. I went with a classic mortadella and provolone decorated with tomato, onion, and garlic M&M (Mayo & Mustard) on both sides. It was on a dutch crunch toll, but the bread made up 70% of the sandwich. For sandwich purists like me, I prefer a 50/50 ratio of filling to bread sandwich ratio. I ordered the Italian Dagwood (4 stars) with no cheese, add lettuce, mustard and pepperoncini and a side of Potato Salad (3 stars) The sandwich was huge, they use a soft loaf of sourdough bread, not a roll. Everything was fresh, good amount of meat, loved the garlic mayo. Awesome sandwich! The potato salad was good, with large chucks of potatoes, maybe too large, I had to crush a few. This is a family owned deli that still around the concord area for many years. They are huge and fulfilling. The garlic alioli makes the sandwich taste better. I don't like giving only two stars to a place I've gone to for the past 30 years; however, the last couple of visits to Luigi's Deli have prompted me to do so. My last visit was on July 17. 2025. I ordered a turkey, Monterey Jack cheese, sprouts, pickles, lettuce, and tomato on a sourdough roll. It lacked any flavor, was mostly bread that tasted stale, and had little ingredients inside. I also ordered pasta seafood salad which the young gal behind the counter got wrong! Instead she gave me some sweet macaroni salad that I couldn't eat! I ended up tossing the food after half of the sandwich. So different from the old Luigi's. I hope they can do better cuz I was really disappointed! read more

I have been a patron for more than 35 years. Today I checked website it said it's open until 530. I got there at 456. A young person told me they were closed and she just wasn't interested in helping. I pointed out it was 4 minutes before 5. She said 'we close early'. The Second Lady did help me. Ridiculously ginormous sandwiches! Most of the sandwiches would be at least 2 servings. Had the sourdough and dutch crunch rolls. The sourdough is very thick so there's a lot of bread. But the ratio to meat was on point. I ordered 3 sandwiches to try: Paisano - Ham, salami, pastrami, jack cheese, garlic mayo, lettuce, tomato Maybe it's because this was the first one we ate, but it turned out to my both my and my husband's favorite. It was the only one that was warmed and they may have also made a difference. Imitation crab salad - I normally never ever get this kind of salad as imitation crab is something I tend to stay away from. Don't know why I ordered it this time, but it turned out to be pretty good. Very creamy with a slight sweetness from the crab. I probably would have preferred the chicken version of this better though. Italian Dagwood - Cotto salami, mortadella, pepperoni, mozzarella, jack, tomato, onion, garlic mayo If this was the only sandwich we had, we would have been happy with it. Amazing sandwiches! Ordered 4 sandwiches today to feed some friends helping me with a home project,a hunt and peck decision . Every sandwich was SO delicious. Bread, meat and produce was all fantastic. Now for part 2 and some important info... these wammiches are BIG. So I had leftovers . Leftover wammiches are horrible right? I don't know what has happened with the deli, but the quality is no longer what it was. The sandwiches are all bread no stuff inside them anymore. I used to get sandwiches there all the time and they were enough for two meals. Now all it is is bread with minimal stuff inside. They skimp on all of the produce and the meat and cheese now I got home and, my sandwich didn't even have the toppings in it that were supposed to come on the sandwich. Luigi's treated me horrible one-time during Covid and I have resisted coming here for the past 6 years, but I used to come into Luigi's at least once a week for many many years. But today I decided to stop in and check it out. Since they are under new ownership since covid, I decided to buy my staple, the prosciutto and provolone sandwich. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am. Where are the piles of high quality cheese and meat that made this place stand out? Why dont I have a choice between 2 or 3 types of prosciutto? Where are all the of the meats and cheeses behind the glass? So sad. This was one of the last real deli's around and the new owner turned it into just another deli. I kid you not, they used to put so much prosciutto on these sandwiches that I would have to take some off because it was too much meat. I would literally make another sandwich with the prosciutto I pulled off the day before. It would cost me $30, maybe even $40 in store bought prosciutto to match the quantity in just one of these old sandwiches. It was unbelievable how much they used to put on. Now they put on 1/3 of the meat and cheese, if I had to guess. Sad the new owner took away what made this place so special. On the upside, the sourdough bread is exactly what I remember (fantastic). The sandwich was good but small. Staff was friendly, and there was no line or wait (which perhaps may not be a good thing?)
