We had taken our four dogs to Palace Dog Grooming since approximately September 2019. The last…read moretime I took all of my dogs, Freddy, the owner, clearly expressed to me that I needed to make an appointment since he had to plan accordingly to accommodate all of my dogs, and not just drop them off since he can get busy. I completely understood this, so the next time I went to have my dogs groomed, I made an appointment for 9 a.m. sharp! And he, himself, said they would take us before anyone else that day. I counted on that. However, Freddy, the owner, did not arrived until 9:15 that morning. Along with me and my four dogs, he had a line of 5 other customers waiting. He specifically told me that he would take care of my dogs first because I made the appointment two days prior. Well, he failed miserably to do this! Instead of putting us first, he put us DEAD last! Instead of doing what he promised, he took 12 other people ahead of us! And that created BIG problems. Our dogs were caged from 9:25 a.m. until past their closing time of 5:30. Finally, when they hadn't even called us at all, we went back to their location to see what was going on. I DEMANDED to see my dogs! We were escorted to the grooming area. Two of the females were ready, but were miserable! They were crying and yelping uncontrollably. It broke my heart! The other two dogs were washed, but had not yet been groomed, because they had broken their word and put us last. While we stood waiting, Freddy rushed to cut one of the dog's coat. He pulled and tugged so fiercely that my tiny dog barked out in pain and terror! My dog was shaking and crying! The other dog was a mess, who hadn't even been clipped at all. We did not give then a chance to injure that dog. I had him taken out of the cage and straight to our car! We paid our bill and left! I will NEVER take my dogs here again! If you love your dog, you shouldn't either!

She is not terrified/no trauma and is happy to go back, unlike her visits to the vet. I also like how they treat the other dogs who are getting cut or waiting to be groomed. At our first visit with fancy pup the owner quickly asked to hold my puppy to establish a relationship and comfort with our puppy. When I returned he was completely calm, happy, and looking handsome. I also enlisted in a training class where Misael came to our home and immediately stepped foot and began his lesson with basic instructions on how to keep our puppy from darting out the door. We were immediately wowed on how easy our puppy took to instruction not only by him but by us as we re-enacted his instruction. The hour training class had us completely impressed and educated on how to establish boundaries and routine with our energetic pup. We definitely recommend their services to all looking for people who truly care about the well being of your fur baby!!

She was also noticeably uncomfortable afterward and wanted to stay alone on her bed, which is very unlike her. I understand that grooming can sometimes cause minor irritation, but the amount and location of the irritation I found afterward was concerning. I expected my dog to be handled with care and to leave the salon comfortable and safe. I would strongly recommend that the salon be more careful with their grooming techniques and pay closer attention to the condition of a pet's skin during and after the service. This was at the Montwood location.

After reading great reviews about Barks N Bubbles I decided to give it a try, even though it was far from where I live. Barks N Bubbles became my go to for grooming. The owner does and amazing job. She is so friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like my dog was in good hands with her. I definitely recommend her even if you do have to drive a little bit out of your way.
