Get your Safety Inspection here! I was referred by my mechanic who gets his inspection for the family car here. Located on the corner of Puuhale and Colburn, it has easy access to drive up for your appointment (recommended, but not mandatory). Nelson is friendly and efficient with getting your inspection executed. The key? Have your applicable paperwork ready. Be aware of some things: 1) They close for lunch between 12:30 - 1:30, 2) Payment is cash or business check, and 3) Appointments are recommended, as there are busy days/times. I went in for a safety check but did not pass because I had a front light that was not working. I was told to go down the road to O'Reilly Auto Parts to pick up a light bulb and come back. He even wrote down the style and size of the light bulb. I didn't get his name but the guy doing the safety checks helped me change my light and completed a thorough safety check. Quick and to the point! I'm the type of girl that just gas and go with my car. I have to have someone else do my oil, do maintenance on my car, change light bulbs haha The first day I went, one of my four head lights were out and one brake light was out. He was honest, and sent me away. I got my friend to fix my bulbs, came back and they were closed for lunch ‍ Next day, I came back..... This time I was ready! He looked at all the necessities, took photos and bam! I was done! Safety up to date!!!! Cops.. you can stop pulling me over now hahaha This shop is small... right off Puuhale road next to OCCC. You gotta time it right... sometimes there's a line and sometimes there's only one car before you. There's not much street room to wait in line so if there are at least 4 or 5 cars ahead, I'd come back later. Luckily I only had 1 car ahead of me. It took less than 10 minutes from wait time to finish. I paid cash and went on with the rest of my busy day. This place is perfect for you busy people like me. The guys are nice too.... straight to the point and honest. Don't expect them to sugar coat it when then tell you your car ain't passing safety. read more

I called this place and they were able to squeeze me in for the day even though they already seemed very busy. Great customer service! It was very quick and easy. They did a thorough check and made sure everything was okay with my car. The guy that checked my car made it so easy and I was so grateful for them taking me in on such short notice. 5 stars for the Super helpful guys. Customer service is always the most important too me. Went in for a safety check and they even help me repair a small problem that would have made me fail the check. My only problem was that it's a really small shop that takes on a lot of clients. So be warned that it is a first come first serve business and there isn't much room there to park your car and wait... and you will have to wait. Normally that would make me -1 star but that really can't be helped and they are doing great with what they have. read more

Went here upon a recommendation from Mike's A/C on Homerule St. No fuss. I had my toddler with me so was worried about doing a safety inspection and having to wait too long. Bottom-line, we got serviced and both Brian and Paul (owner) were attentive and got things done. Felt a lot of hospitality from them. Just don't drive too fast on Pu'uhale cause you might miss the cross street (Colburn), but it's a corner lot so no worries once you find it. Mahalo for expedient service! read more

The old man may yell at you if you don't park just right for him but it's worth it. He gets the job done with... Oops, I never finished my review from quite awhile ago. My inspection sticker was one day past due because I never think about it and so I was desperate to have it renewed ASAP since I live on a military post and they were cracking down on expired tags and inspections. It was a Friday afternoon and I really had no hope until my friend called this place. I was able to pull up and car inspected within a few minutes for $25! Important note- you need to have cash. While I was at Mike's Tire Shop they recommended this place and I'm so glad I decided to swing by. I pulled up but didn't see anyone so I looked up on Yelp an seen this place was closed on weekends so I decided to call an see when is the best time to come back or if appointment was needed but someone came walking out after the 2nd ring an greeted me.
