You can feel the difference the moment you walk in -- the energy is smoother, the service is sharper, and the team clearly takes pride in what they're doing. The new management style deserves real credit. They've made thoughtful staff changes that immediately improved the atmosphere and consistency. Everyone behind the bar is friendly, attentive, and actually seems happy to be there, which makes a huge impact when you're trying to unwind with a shell or settle in for a relaxing night. Mystic Roots has become one of those spots where you feel genuinely welcomed every time. Clean space, great drinks, and a team that gets it -- exactly what a kava bar should be. If you haven't been in a while, go back. If you're new to kava or kratom, this is absolutely the place to start. Mystic Roots is running better than ever.

Mystic Roots was clean & Noah greeted us immediately upon entry and gave us a run down of the menu. If you're new here and don't know what kava is, here's the deal. Kava is a root from the South Pacific that's brewed into a tea like substance. It's known for being upbeat, social, anti-anxiety, and relaxation. Kava tastes like dirt. Period. You don't drink it for the taste; you're drinking it for the effects. Mystic Roots has a friendly cheers like vibe where the patrons all know each other's names. Would be a great place to meet other sober people, have a new experience or do some work during the day. Super chill vibes & Noah was a gem. Thanks for the amazing experience & the tasty drinks. Will be back!

Don't sleep on Boynton Beach - cocktail bar vibe, hiding in plain site in a strip mall... this gem is chef inspired and simply amazing. We tried the wood fired asparagus served on toast with a gooey egg and then the pork belly grilled baby bok choy and both had me in the happy chair dance. Although steak definitely makes sense with a wood fire concept, instead we tried the lamb rack served with a mint sauce combo that has you cleaning the plate and local pompano served curry lite with wild mushroom (delish)! If you are a foodie make your way here. This was a spot where one (or is it just me) considers maybe we order everything to try? And we left the fun for another time. I have my eye on their spiced lamb bolognese and another amazing cocktail. The cocktails are mostly milk fat clarified which adds yet another fun twist to a new fav spot! Make a reservation and if you are in the area during the day it is a solid cafe. This is how I found it to begin with! Nom nom nom - enjoy

It's like sitting next to a warming fire. This time we tried the grilled asparagus, the grilled baby bok choy with pork belly and gorgonzola (our favorite), the luncheonette burger with crispy fries, the double cut pork chop with grilled cabbage and pickled mustard seed, and the waygu lamb (I know, a lot of food!). Everything was fantastic but the burger initially came out a bit undercooked (we ordered it medium) so they cooked it a bit more and quickly brought it back. I thought the lamb wagyu was a bit light on the meat, the pork chop was amble and laid out nicely on the plate. We also tried the watermelon tequila drink (very refreshing and not too sweet), an old fashioned, and they have a good list of wines. We love the big cube in cocktails. I don't know how they got them to be so clear. The bar tender was great and the cooks were working very hard. The owner always comes by to say hello and chat. Second Rodeo varies the menu.

I'm a bit torn on how to review this. I went tonight with a friend. The bartender was really nice,…read moreexplained everything clearly and made suggestions. He suggested we get Kava and a tea. We started with the "punch in the face" which is a very strong kava alongside a pink lemonade tea. Kava tastes pretty vile if I'm being honest. Like straight up mud. But of course that's not the bar's fault. And it was sort of fun to drink out of the metal shell. The tea tasted a bit weird but it was okay. I didn't like that it came in a pre made bottle but it was fine. After that we tried one of the flavoured kava shots. I still thought it tasted nasty but my friend liked it. Kava also makes your tongue really tingly just FYI. We also got one of their mixed tea drinks. They have a lot of flavors to choose from, we got ocean water. This tasted really good, it was probably the only thing I'd get again. We felt much more inebriated than we expected to but it was okay. What wasn't okay was how our stomachs turned soon after we left. We were extremely nauseous and my friend threw up a lot. We did a quick Google search and found this is actually a pretty common reaction for beginner kava drinkers, especially if you have a good amount. I really think the bartender should have told us to be careful and let us know we were drinking a lot and might get sick. When we first walked in he told us "it's like being tipsy but you're not impaired, you can still drive, and you won't feel like shit." Neither of these things were true. We felt like shit and we had to wait to drive because we were tipsier than we expected to be. The effects of the substance are not the bar's fault, but I believe they should be informed of these likely possibilities and be more up front about them.

Location was easy to find and parking was even easier. Walking up there were bright lights and music was blasting. But at 10pm the inside was near empty. Beautiful flooring for dancing but the few people lining the walls or in VIP area were smoking hookah and/or throwing back drinks. I make my way around to the outside lounge where more people chat away and smoke under the stars. Lounge area is pretty chill under good weather. Servers circle around if you take a table so no need to go back and forth for the bar. Thursday's are a bag a skittles; anything/everything. Sometimes it's a drag show, sometimes it's karaoke, sometime it's some random theme party. (Karaoke Session - yeah I walked out with what seemed like 1/2 the crowd.) Don't know if this was the first night doing this but it definitely wasn't advertised properly. There is very rarely someone at the door on Thursdays. Latin Fridays - Call me a hater - but I don't understand letting 18 years into a bar. Music and drinks were still very nice. And the dance floor is great to show off your bachata.

My fiancé suggested Banana Boat, as he had seen review on the Next-Door app, and I realized I had it bookmarked. It looked busy, all self-parking was full, but they have free (with tip) valet, and that was easy and quick. They have the inside bar and inside seating, then the outside "patio" style tables plus the outside bar. We found some open spots and got our menus. Service, even seating at the bar was a bit slow, but very friendly. When we ordered the drinks, these came rather fast but had to wait a bit longer than should have to place our food order. The food was great! The coconut shrimp was perfectly coated and fried. I had the fish and chips and loved how flaky the fish was, and that it was not overly breaded or greasy. But the winner was the Seafood au Gratin dish. This came out bubbling hot, as it should be. Lots of good seafood in lobster, shrimp, scallops with vegetables and the parmesan sauce is amazing. You get a side with it, and we were recommended the rice which went perfectly with this dish. We had a great time there, great relaxed atmosphere and will definitely be back.

When I circled back looking at it yesterday morn we decided to pop up and check it out. It's a valet only place, free with tip. After a quick exchange with a nice guy taking the keys we walked into the welcoming entry. We saw the nice bar but I thought I saw a picture of a outside bar online. The hostess confirmed it, and pointed us to the outside spot. We lucked out with a couple spots right on the water. It was a warm day but the spots at the bar were covered thank goodness. We got lunch, which was pretty good. My gals fish and chips felt a little undercooked to me. But my Seafood au gratin was exquisite. We both agreed it was top notch. The drinks were darn good, with the standout being the Key Lime pie martini. It was a little pricey, but it felt darn near worth it with the good vibes we had. We will be ack son I think, to see if we can have an even better time.
