The lighting was soft the furniture was comfortable and soothing, the bartender Colton was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and the differences between Kava and Kratom.We opted for the three strain kratom drink mine was some type of berry and was beyond delicious. We had some shots can't remember what they were we left it up to Colton and they too were delicious. We had a couple of vegan cheeseburgers and even though you picked them from the refrigerator and they warm them up they were still delicious! The lounge is pet friendly and the perfect place to go if you just want to decompress, maybe get some work done in a quiet place, read a book, or just connect with that someone special. I highly recommend this place, especially considering the alternative across the street is not very friendly and not very excepting of Certain types of people especially LGBTQ. I love this place and will be back probably later on today! Great experience! Update! I went back the next afternoon and again with my husband later on that night! Love this place!

Kava is a root from the South Pacific that's brewed into a tea like substance. It's known for being upbeat, social, anti-anxiety, and relaxation. Kava tastes like dirt. Period. You don't drink it for the taste; you're drinking it for the effects. Mystic Roots has a friendly cheers like vibe where the patrons all know each other's names. Everything was fantastic but the burger initially came out a bit undercooked (we ordered it medium) so they cooked it a bit more and quickly brought it back. I thought the lamb wagyu was a bit light on the meat, the pork chop was amble and laid out nicely on the plate. We also tried the watermelon tequila drink (very refreshing and not too sweet), an old fashioned, and they have a good list of wines. We love the big cube in cocktails. I don't know how they got them to be so clear. The bar tender was great and the cooks were working very hard. The owner always comes by to say hello and chat. Second Rodeo varies the menu.

Sometimes it's a drag show, sometimes it's karaoke, sometime it's some random theme party. (Karaoke Session - yeah I walked out with what seemed like 1/2 the crowd.) Don't know if this was the first night doing this but it definitely wasn't advertised properly. There is very rarely someone at the door on Thursdays. So I can't tell you about the waterfront, the 40-plus years Banana Boat's been serving Boynton, or the rest of the menu, which, for the record, looked legitimate. I'm here for one plate. The Surf & Turf Nacho sounds incredible on the menu. Filet mignon and shrimp. That's how they get you to $21, and I paid it. Here's what showed up. The filet retired its number after only a few appearances. On a $21 surf-and-turf nacho, the turf scored early and then vanished like a witness in a mob movie. The shrimp came in bigger numbers but arrived whole and uncut, and nobody in that kitchen asked the one question that matters: how does a whole shrimp sit on a nacho chip? It doesn't. It sits on top looking decorative while the chip underneath has an identity crisis. And where would this be without mentioning my old nemesis. Beans. They don't belong on nachos. Ever. If you're using them, you're just trying to make the plate bigger. Maybe you need a big lifted truck too. This isn't a surf-and-turf nacho. It's a nice thought. A dish designed to impress on paper, justify a price, and get photographed; Not to really be eaten as a nacho. It was also a small portion overall. I finished it, but that's not the achievement it sounds like. Finishing a $21 nacho because there wasn't much of it is not a win. It's literally the complaint. Credit where it's due, because I'm not here just to swing: * The queso was actually melted. After a long run of unmelted shredded-cheese disasters around here, that matters. * The guacamole was generous and well made. * It arrived hot, eight minutes out. That counts. * The flavor was genuinely decent. Everything present tasted fine. The problem was what was present, and how little of it there was. The Fork Rule was violated immediately. Rectangular plate, whole shrimp, oversized store-bought chips, everything arranged for the camera. This was never getting eaten with your hands, which means it was never really a nacho. Verdict: 5/10 -- The Mirage Nacho. It looked great on the menu. It tasted decent on the plate. It just wasn't a nacho. The flavor is the only thing keeping it out of the basement. Serenity exceeded our expectations so much that my sisters and I returned for a farewell get together for my sister about six weeks later. The house that Serenity occupies was built in 1916 and definitely adds to the charm of the experience. The decor is quaint and 'girly' with large hats and tea pots scattered around the shelves and walls. Many tea cups, saucers, and plates are displayed throughout the shop. I was so happy that Serenity offers a gluten free menu. The first course for me consisted of a delicious sweet potato soup. I wished I could have eaten more but there was plenty more food to come. The gluten free finger sandwiches were also tasty. The chocolate covered strawberry, macaron, and brownie (all gf) finished up a filling tea service. The desserts were store bought and tasted good but they were obviously store bought and were a minor let down. We ended up boxing up some of our sandwiches and desserts to take home to enjoy later! Each of us were given our own large pot of tea to go along with our lunch. Our first visit, I chose Peach Black Tea while one of my sisters tried the Chai Black Tea. We both bought the same teas from the store in the tea house to take home with us as we enjoyed them so much. The individual tea pots are quite large, The tea pots are wrapped in large, colorful cozies to stay warm throughout our visit. My sisters and I sampled each others' tea, of course. Each of us also drank a glass of champagne. The service is attentive, friendly, and efficient. I wish I could remember the name our server as he took care of our table both times we visited. He really helped make our visits to Serenity special and relaxing. The owner and the staff really work together to make a visit to Serenity Garden Tea House & Cafe a fantastic experience for their guests. We'll be back!!

Everything was fresh and delicious. The croissants were beautifully flaky and buttery, and the sandwich was simple but packed with flavor. The outdoor seating is adorable and gives it such a charming little French café feel. To order you go inside at the counter, grab a number and they bring your order to you. Outside there is a self serve station of silverware, napkins and cold water. Definitely a great spot to grab a coffee, pastry or bite to eat. We'll absolutely be back because there are way too many things in that pastry case we still need to try!

The blue crabs were small and awkward to eat when so hot. I'd skip them next time. I also tried some beef and pork, but found the seafood options more to my liking. Of the veggies, I had a mix just to try a number of things. The baby bok choy leaves, the cabbage, and the bean sprouts were good, but I fell in love with those tiny little enoki mushrooms. My least faves were the taro and the hard squash For dessert, they also have fresh fruit (cherries, etc.) and cake squares on the buffet. And a separate ice cream bar. I liked their green tea ice cream the best. We were so stuffed when we left. But happy campers. We felt the price of the AYCE was well worth it here. We'd definitely come again. Place absolutely sucks. Everyone's rude and dismissive in there I've witnessed bullying and discrimination and decided that was the last straw as I do not want to be associated with this type of business. They're constantly getting into internet wars with people who try to correct them due to their ignorance. They like to troll people rather than taking responsibility for their actions and actually continue to encourage their employees to behave this way which is pathetic. It's unfortunate that really great people work here (especially jayme who helps the lake worth coummunity) and choose to associate with this establishment. Used to be a cool spot to just chill but realizing how shitty some of the people here are, sucks. Witnessed little girls think they are being funny when they are actually hurting other people (small girl with a petite body and necklace with letter 'K') just to look cool. Reading majority of these reviews and realizing most of them are poor experiences then it must tel you something about this bar. If you're smart and wish to have a good time please don't come here. They can't even give credit to where the kava root comes from without trolling people like immature assholes. If you do come here-- you're probably just another asshole! read more

i used to go in every day and drink their kratom tea - and every day i walked in the "owner" is saying something racist or messed up. I literaly go in get my tea and leave, but on MLK day he was literally taking pictures of watermelon for the holiday for his instagram. I told him how racist that was and he shut me down. and then when a black man walked in he said "hey let me get your opinion on something and asked him!!!!" to prove to him that it was okay to take pictures of watermelon for mlk day. The guy just shrugged him off like we all do. I actually have known "the owner" for 20 years and im even sad to write this. But he trashes illegal immigrants, makes racist jokes, and now he not only got creepy about offering women with vaginas a slam but continues to trash trans women instead of apologizing. why a bunch of white dudes appropriating kava culture and making money off it wouldn't end up a shit show i dont know....but Im not going there anymore...unless they apologize...yall are living in the dark ages trying to sell stuff of the ancient past and calming future....AND THEY GO ALL OUT FOR PRIDE WITH THEIR OWN FLOAT AND ACTING GAY LIKE ITS ALL FUN FOR THEM AND NOW ARE TRASHING TRANS WOMEN!!!! read more

I had heard of kava and was on lake Ave recently and my curiosity led me into Kavasutra. There was a real chill vibey mix playing and the bartender was serving coconut shells (which I assumed was kava) to a few fans at the bar, while a young couple sitting across the bar looking very comfortable were drinking tea which I found out was another option called kratom that is also available. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgable as he explained the history behind the south pacific root. I learned before drinking kava it is customary to say "YONK" which is cheers in the south pacific islands. I was joined in a loud "YONK" before drinking the kava which can be flavored with several different flavors if requested. The atmosphere is quite unique coupled with an impressive kava and great service I am most definitely a fan of kava now thanks to kavasutra! Thanks for a great experience! read more

I don't like leaving one star reviews because every place has something redeemable going for it, but I cannot find one here. They are volatile towards potential clientele, and seem to have a need to agitate people. Their drinks don't hold up to others in the area. Their space has a cultivated ambiance, but the vibe there is the exact opposite because of the demeanor of their regulars and staff. Boisterous, rude, homophobic, disrespectful of other people's personal space, and all around just bad attitudes for what should be a chill experience. Wouldn't step foot in it again. There are so many other decent kava bars that don't have bartenders who try to upsell and pressure you to drink more than you should. Such a bad experience and I'm sorry that a single penny of mine went to them. read more

I've been coming here since they opened almost 10 years ago. By far, this is the best Kava bar around. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the owners are super generous, often throwing parties for no reason but to say thank you to their loyal patrons. This has created an amazing almost family-like atmosphere. Together the company and it's customers have participated in dozens of holiday parades, pride festivals and street painting events. I've never felt out of place or uncomfortable, actually just the opposite. People from all walks of life come here to simply enjoy each others company, drink the best kava and to get alway from the stress of everyday life. read more

Best kava bar in florida! We drove to this kavasutra bar all the way from ft. Lauderdale multiple times while on vacation because they have the best vibe and employees. We even forgot something there one night and Cedrick (pringles) the bartender held onto it for us. We live in Jersey and also frequently visit their new york location which has just as good a vibe, its just in a smaller space and can get crowded. The best kava bar in the USA .I have been to a lot of them and by far this one is #1.If you are feeling stressed and need to relax this is the place to go .It is a great alternative to alcohol .You will meet a wide variety of people doctors ,artist engineers, lawyers ,construction workers and traveling musicians all hang out here.One minute you could hear a conversation about quantum physics and then a drum circle will break out.If you like to witness random events this is the place to go. read more

Kavasutra in Downtown Lake Worth is a melting pot for all types. It is a warm and welcoming place with a mellow atmosphere and good vibe without the annoyances of a traditional bar. Kavasutra is where one can go to relax and enjoy the company of good people, or take advantage of the free wifi and good music . The intrest in trying kava brought me there, but the eclectic mix of people and life long friends I've made keep me coming back. read more

This has been my favorite spot in downtown Lake Worth since I found out about it. At first I wasn't sure about the kava effects but I was quickly sold. I left there my first time with a great feeling and some new awesome people to talk to. And may I just add that all the bartenders there are most rad and totally great people to talk to. read more

Had been to a few kava bars before but the quality is definitely the best here. That 'kava feeling' kicked in way harder than it did at other places. The bartender told me the owners hand source all of their kava to get the highest quality in the world (not sure if it was true but I believed it after trying it). Good atmosphere too. read more

I've never been to a kava bar with such a negative atmosphere. This place is very judgmental and non accepting. After researching the owner it makes total sense (the guy posts hateful things online very often). Wouldn't recommend to anybody.. especially if you're in the LGBTQ community. Avoid it here. read more

I had never even heard of a kava bar before visiting Florida in general, but when my sister brought me there to hangout I loved it! As a place to chill, relax and just sit an socialize. The atmosphere is so great, I felt like it was a no stress zone! I would recommend anyone going and trying it out! read more

Love the chill vibe,good people, great music and friendly staff. All of the ingredients for the making of a regular hang-out spot. Relaxing atmosphere, a great alternative to all the bars downtown. The visuals of planet earth play a nice tone to relax and decompress after a long day work or play. Guitars for the musicians to come and play and add to the tone of the enviorment. Great for locals and tourist a like! read more
