Iced Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk & Rosemary Sea Salt Bagel with Cream Cheese
    Michelle M.

Been coming here for a quick breakfast after pickleball and it's quite good. I order a rosemary salt bagel with plain cream cheese. I ask for it double toasted and even then it sometimes doesn't feel toasted. Although I wish it were toasted more, the bagel is fresh and I like the taste of their cream cheese as well. My drink order changes but this time around I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk which I really enjoyed! I will say if you're in a rush maybe skip the food order or put in a mobile order well ahead of time. I've come a few times now and my bagel always takes like 10 minutes before it's ready. Coffee on the other hand always comes out less than 2 minutes later. I love the decor inside and always try to sit by the window counter if there's space. They also have outdoor seating which is nice to enjoy some fresh air in the city. Good place to come read or do work while grabbing a coffee! Plus they have a parking lot which is a bonus!!

If you're looking for yummy coffee in the Boston area, Pavement Coffee never does me dirty. Their lattes are so good and the service is great. Plus, the non-coffee beverages are so good too. I got the iced mocha & watermelon lemonade and both were amazing. I do wish they offered lattes in the large size, but 16oz is usually enough. Plus, don't skip the bagels! I really do think they have some of my favorite bagels--they're the perfect amount of chewy and the cream cheese is so good. Love this location--usually plenty of parking and has indoor and outdoor seating.

Early morning before a work while on a work trip in Boston area and wanted to hit a local coffee spot. Found this place doing a quick review and decided to give it a shot. Very glad I did! It honestly needs wayyy more ratings than it has... it was so good. I got an ice mocha and one of the breakfast bagel sandwiches - had egg, cheese and sausage. They let you pick the type of bagel and had a good array of options, I went with the jalapeño. Interior is cute little spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. Parking lot was decent sized, but in a business area - so I can imagine on a very busy morning it being packed. Everything came quick and true to work nature... I ended up forgetting about my food and didn't get to eat it till after an hour or so... but let me say this, it still tasted fresh, warm and it was so freaking good. This has got to be one of the top 3 best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. The bagel was so soft and perfect. Egg cooked perfectly, as was the sausage. Coffe was just as good, wasn't too sugary or lite... I like a nice full bodied coffee with a hint of chocolate and this hit the spot! My coworker gave them an amazing review as well. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd come back time and time again. If you're in the area, be sure to check them out!!

Haven't been in months since their service was so horrible but I was nearby so I tried it and hey got worse! The bacon wasn't even in the bagel the bagel itself was burnt and they stared at me for 5 minutes with my order ready while I asked if it was mine. i reached to the support team online and was able to get a refund and apologies for this locations service.

Yummy, yummy, I got a bagel with jalapeños cream cheese, egg, cheddar cheese and bacon! It was outstanding. And the chai tea was delicious. To top it off the staff was super friendly

WHEN: Friday @ 1pm This coffee shop was near my hotel, I thought to give it a try and they have bagels! It's a very decent coffees shop spot with lots of specialty bagels, coffees, teas, lattes. The vibe of the shop was more of a lunch spot than a study/work spot. I wanted to do my zoom meeting at the cafe but the music was way too loud for meetings. It's more so a spot to socialize with friends/colleagues over breakfast/lunch, or takeout. There are seatings indoor and outdoor. People usually come to work remotely or socialize with others. WHAT I ORDERED Tequila sunrise with rosemary salt bagel This bagel is warm, delicious, perfect for breakfast. it has eggs, bacons, cheese, seasonings and sauces. It was a tad bit spicy for my taste, there must be jalapeños in it which I'm not a fan. Portion and value of bagel was good. I can now say that I've tasted a New England bagel. London fog latte Generous size latte, in a large cup. It was very tasty, you can't go wrong with London fog latte if you're not a coffee drinker. It was double cup so that it won't get too hot for my hands. Honestly you can't go wrong with ordering any bagels or coffee, teas. It's a grab and go place, nearby Harvard campus. It's chill, good music vibes.

Stopped by this place for coffee since we happened to be overnighting in the neighborhood. The place has interiors reminiscent of the modern world coffee shops. The place seemed pretty cool and not loud so you can just come here and work! Free wifi! We got a jalapeno bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese with veggies on top to go with a cold brew and iced tea. The bagel was a bit of a mess probably because it was loaded with cream cheese but tasty nonetheless. The tea and coffee were really good with a variety of options. They serve sandwiches and baked goods as well. Oh and they roast their own coffee! -1 star because the service a little off. Definitely stop by if you are in the area!

A coffeehouse with parking in Allston? Yes please. Pavement offers a a good variety of bagels, breakfast sandwiches, spreads, and vegan sandwiches and spreads. We love a shop that has options for our vegan friends. I tried the everything bagel with a garlic and chive spread. They're definitely not shy on the cream cheese like other fellow yelpers have said. I love a lot of cream cheese but for someone who doesn't you can ask them to be light on the spread. I also tried their cold brew which was pretty tasty too. Their website says it's +.25c for almond milk but when I came in they had their almond milk on the side with their other creams. I don't believe in charging extra for a non-dairy alternative so that was a plus, although their website is misleading. I took off one star for service. The guy taking my order was so not inviting and the guy who gave me my bagel pretty much slid it on the counter instead of just handing it to me while my hand was out.

They make a great capuccino. I was a little confused by the pricing, as in why it was $4.01. I mean, who carries pennies?

The space is super vibrant, filled with bold colors, retro diner touches, and a bunch of quirky statement pieces that make you want to look around before you even check the menu. It feels playful and energetic without being overwhelming...definitely a place that stands out from your typical brunch spot. One of the most unique things about this place is the drink menu. I loved that you can order flights...not just for mimosas, but also spritzers/mixed drink and even coffee-inspired drinks. That's not something you see everywhere, and it made the whole experience feel a little more elevated and fun. Everything we tried was solid across the board. The drinks were well-made, balanced, and honestly just fun to try in a flight format. The menu itself keeps that same energy going with quirky, pop culture-inspired names that make ordering more entertaining than usual. But it's not just about the names, the food actually delivers. The chicken and waffles were a standout: crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the sweetness of the waffle. The traditional breakfast was done right too: simple, classic, and exactly what you'd want when you're craving something familiar. The real surprise for me was the crispy pimento potato bowl with chicken. It was packed and layered with flavor: comforting, a little indulgent, and definitely filling. You can tell they're intentional about how they build their dishes, not just throwing things together. Shoutout to our waitress as well...she really made the experience better. She gave great recommendations, helped us navigate the menu (which has a lot of options), and made sure we picked dishes we'd actually enjoy. That kind of service goes a long way, especially at a busy brunch spot.

The Friendly Toast was founded in 1994 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but has locations throughout New England now. It's easy to see why. This all-day brunch and bar is quirky and fun and unique. The decor of the Cambridge location is super eclectic. We arrived around 8:45am on a Saturday, and it wasn't busy yet (it's a huge restaurant). Since it was pretty quiet still, we had plenty of time to look around at the fun decor. The menu is as fun and eclectic as the decor with really fun small plates, breakfast classics, vegan options (like a tofu scramble and vegan pancakes), wild pancakes (cookie monster pancakes!?), and some healthier options. They currently have (or maybe always have?) a "Comeback Tour" menu of dishes that were popular that they brought back. My husband and I both chose from that menu. He got the Rice Baby Rice Comeback (grilled citrus chicken, seasoned rice, roasted street corn, black beans, pico de gallo and avocado topped with crispy tortilla strips, grated cotija, pickled onion, avocado cilantro sauce, and fresh cilantro), and I had the Medley Crue Comeback (two poached eggs served over a medley of home fries, tomatoes, spinach, red peppers, mushrooms, onion, zucchini and corn; topped with avocado cilantro sauce, lemon pepper sumac & fresh cilantro). Both dishes were great. They have a full drink menu, too, including flights (a mimosa flight, a coffee drink flight, and more), beer, wine, mocktails, classic cocktails, and more. I had their strawberries and cream coffee (cold brew with vanilla strawberry cold foam), while my husband stuck with a simple iced coffee. It's a really fun place for brunch, and I'd happy to return or visit another location. It's just a retro, quirky, happy place!
