Last time I ordered the matcha latte with 50% sweetness and it did not taste good. Happy I got it with 100% sweetness and it was not overly sweet! Really enjoyed it! Full hojicha flavor with the creamy snow top which enhanced and complemented the hojicha flavor. The snow top by itself has a light cream cheese flavor, but mixed in with the hojicha, you can only taste the creaminess of the snow top. This was delicious! Recommend for hojicha lovers! HOKKAIDO MILK + MATCHA SWIRL on waffle cone. Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel! This was delightful from beginning to end! The hokkaido milk was super creamy with that sweetness in the milk. The matcha had just the right amount of sweet and vegetal matcha flavor that complemented the hokkaido milk ice cream. This was so good! However, my one regret is getting this on a waffle cone, as I was already full and the waffle cone was slowly getting soggy, as I took my time in eating this. There isn't a matcha drink place I won't try. Happened to be in the area. The drinks came out pretty quickly and there were plenty of seats and table. Got the matcha-vanila swirl ice cream, matcha strawberry latte, matcha latte-okinama boba, and the black sesame hojicha latte. The ice cream was pretty good. The drinks were at 50% sweeteness but probably needed more. The okinawa boba just tasted like regular boba but slightly undercooked. The ice cream looked really good and I'll try it next time. The Hawaiian Ube Matcha was my favorite as the ube was authentic and not too sweet. It was also delicious in cheese tart form. Strawberry matcha was very healthy and real strawberries, not strawberry jam. The Christmas ball was interesting because even with a big scoop of ice cream, it wasn't sweet. Very creamy though. It was relatively busy at 4 on a saturday but the line moved quickly and drinks came out within 10 min. They were all sold out of their cakes but we did get a Hokkaido cheese egg tart - bit too cheesy and rich for our taste. Sad be to writing this review, but wanted other people to know so they don't make the same mistake. This review is mostly for their customer service. Stood in their long line after dinner for something warm & sweet. Matcha is caffeinated so I asked if they can do half caffeinated. The barista suggested hojicha for a less caffeine option, I told her I had never had it but she encouraged me to try. When I got my order it was not my cup of tea (pun intended) grainy & flavorless, so I asked if I can swap out for a matcha since I've had that before and especially since I just paid $8 for this drink. The barista said she would have to ask her manager, the manager came & said they can't switch it out since that's what I ordered. I understand that, but don't encourage people to try new items if you're not willing to swap it out for something else. The manager offered me tap water instead... Finally stopped by since we had lunch in the area. They have hojicha, which I prefer and we didn't order matcha this time so can't comment on that but I'll definitely come back! I've seen the lines, the TikToks, the whole internet buzz... and yes, it's absolutely worth winding through that chaotic parking garage or circling for street parking. Luckily, I swung by on a weekday morning on my way to work and avoided the madness. I was torn between the strawberry matcha and the ube matcha (the internal debate was real), but the ube just felt right in the moment. No regrets. I may or may not be back tomorrow for the strawberry to fully satisfy my curiosity lol. First of all, the vibes inside are great- spacious and great layout, definitely reminded me of several places I went to in Japan.
