**FAVORITE LA BAKERY** After years of living in LA and working my way through just about every bakery in town, I finally found the one. This is my soul bakery. PARKING We lucked out with street parking right in front. It's limited, and I can see it getting tight on weekends, but doable with patience. PASTRIES & CAKES PRINCESS CAKE - $6.50 I ordered this slice for my birthday, and it absolutely delivered. Alternating layers of airy sponge cake, vanilla custard, and house-made raspberry jam, topped with a dome of whipped cream and finished in light green almond paste. Every bite was balanced--rich but never cloying. Perfect texture, perfect sweetness. Rating: 5/5 RASPBERRY LEMON MOUSSE CAKE - $6.50 An indulgent combination of fresh raspberries and mousse layered with feather-light sponge cake brushed in lemon syrup. Finished with bits of raspberry-infused Valrhona chocolate, this cake hits that ideal sweet-tart balance. Bright, elegant, and not overly sweet--exactly how dessert should be. Rating: 5/5 SPANDAUER - $3.50 Understated and refined. Almond paste, custard, and crunchy almond flakes come together beautifully. Soft meets crisp in all the right ways. Rating: 4/5 KRINGLE - $3.50 A flaky pastry filled with almond paste and custard, topped with sugar and almond flakes. Simple, comforting, and executed perfectly. Excellent with coffee. Rating: 4.5/5 OVERALL Warm, friendly service paired with exceptional pastries and cakes. This place nails balance, flavor, and texture without relying on excess sweetness. I'll be back again and again.

Love love love! The princess cake is incredible. Not too sweet, soft, fluffy, and a perfect balance of flavors. Can't wait to try more!

I have had Copenhagen Pastry bookmarked for a while. It is specialized in Danish pastries and cakes. I fell in love with all their pastries the moment I walked in the shop. Everything looked tempting and indulgent. I got apricot macaron, blueberry danish, chocolate danish with delicious custard filling, diamond danish, raspberry danish with a circular icing. The pastries were heavenly! The price was great. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly. I had an enjoyable experience. I will be back to try their cakes and more of their delicious pastries. This place is a hidden gem in Culver City.

Beautiful cuts of pastry that are equally delicious. I will be returning here again and again, nothing was overly sweet. Everything was delicately baked, moist and flavorful. I wanna say I almost tried one of everything but I know I missed a few and I'll get those on my next visit for sure. Service services quick as a matter fact there are so kind. I walked away with a slice of cake to try a slice of cake not a piece or a crumble a whole slice of cake. I think what I like most about it was they didn't have a lot of commercial drinks to offer you. It was simple coffee, iced coffee, tea water the shop is clean. It was bright and very welcoming.

From the moment you step in, you know this place is special. Understated, simple bakery offering authentic and exquisite Danish pastries. We ordered the Kringle and Butter Cake (slice) and they were offering a complimentary hazelnut cake. Let me just say each dessert was a 10 out of 10. So unique, so flavorful and you can taste the love in each of the pastries. This is a delectable treat and I can't wait to try all of it!

This is the place! Wow...the pastries are magical. The staff seems to be to owners and they are really (I think) from Copenhagen. Everything is mouthwatering. They even were giving out free full servings of their new creation which was amazing. The only downside is that there is no place to sit. It's take-out only. Which is fine as it's so good that nothing else matters. The ambience fits the Danish vibe too.

Always a delight stopping by Copenhagen Pastry, it's become my little ritual in Culver City. The spandauer is my must-have every single time (flaky, buttery perfection), and today I had the pleasure of seeing Karen, the wonderful owner. She's as warm and genuine as the pastries are authentic, and you can tell she truly loves what she does. That kind of passion is rare, and it shows in every bite. If you're craving a true taste of Denmark, this is as authentic as it gets, no passport required!

This is the small parking lot with angled parking spaces and its entrance is on Washington Blvd.

I already knew what I'd be giving Copenhagen Pastry and it would go along with the expression that "20,000 Frenchmen can't be wrong," especially after seeing the distribution of ratings. Not only that, I got to check off a bookmark, which isn't something I often get to do. This is a bakery with Danish roots but with products that might branch out to some extent to being European. Additionally, there is some creative experimentation in coming up with cakes and pastries. It seems that, at any time during its opening hours, there are people in line inside at Copenhagen Pastry, though the line is short. I also saw the folks behind the customers nodding and smiling at customers as they walked in, meaning they recognized them as they might frequent the bakery on a regular basis. This speaks volumes. I looked at the website. In looking at the list, I saw that they have an apricot chocolate mousse cake that is available in slices on certain days of the week. That's what I went in to buy, had it nicely boxed up, and it went with me. The person who took my order and rang me up was very polite and likable. That also helps. Note that they also make cakes for occasions and the whole gamut can be seen on their website. Later that day, I devoured that slice of apricot chocolate mousse cake. It was delicious. Every once in a while, you have to break your own rules. Copenhagen Pastry is in a modest one-story building sitting close to the triangular tip of Washington Blvd. and Washington Pl., just east of Sepulveda. There is a very small parking lot, but there will be metered parking on "both Washingtons." The funny thing is that any time I've visited SoCal and was in this immediate area, I'd be heading to Paco's Tacos. That's not that important to me anymore. I'm glad to have found this new bakery/pastry shop and hope to return. I'm still thinking about that slice of cake.

There is meter parking outside. I came on a Sunday so street parking was free. There is a small parking lot but I chose the streets for easy access and exit. The store front and store is very clean and organized well. There are no tables and chairs to sit inside, you place your order and take your baked goods to go. They have coffee and it is delicious. I am not even sure what coffee it is but it reminds me of the blonde coffee I drink but maybe more smooth or less preservatives. I first came in 2017, and I was happy to be back here again. Please listen to the song I am parodying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7l7W8IBQSY While you are reading my review. My morning starts You're in my cart I have a hungry mouth That's full of Danish Joy From lovely bread And from this hot blonde coffee As my breakfast Raspberry bae With such a tone A sweet and wholesome flavor Has me feenin' My, Danish amor I'll write to you in Spanish, across the oceans Your whole goods can warm me up like toast Whoa oh oh Danish pastry is what I adore My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With your light creamy taste And your warm tender ways My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams My sweet love My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With your oven baked way And the tender engage My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With warm hugs Thinking of you Here as I drool And every drop from my tongue Reflects feelings Your, wonderful taste Is like running in the summer with cool breezes You create sweet dreams right in my cart I love so oh You're the sweet Danish Queen that I love My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With your light creamy taste And your warm tender ways My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams My sweet love My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With your oven baked way And the tender engage My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With warm hugs My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams My sweet love My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With your light creamy taste And your warm tender ways My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams My sweet love My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With your oven baked way And the tender engage My sweet Danish pastry I see you in my dreams With warm hugs

Visited Copenhagen Pastry several times based on a review from Yeep extraordinaire Karen W of Phoenix AZ. It's a small bakery on a main drag of Washington Blvd, there are 3 parking stalls with an additional stall for handicapped, plus street parking. I've only gone on weekends and holidays, so I'm sure it gets busier, but usually its more of a quick and out. Today there were 3 people waiting on customers which helped. The Kringles (or Danishes) here are great! Not too sweet, light, flakey, and full of flavor! Love that the rum ball tasted of rum, the Napoleon's hat had a good amount of chocolate to it! Most recent discovery has been their breakfast rolls, they remind me of German brotchen, with a crunchy crust and a soft interior. Love CP and will make a stop when I'm in the area! Repeat and recommend!

Copenhagen pastries has really light fluffy cakes, that have the perfect amount of sweetness to them. They have a huge variety of different flavors and every single one we tried was unique and delicious. The Raspberry Lemon Mousse was my favorite and I'm usually a chocolate cake girly.

I like cake alot- I get so excited when I taste new variations of cakes at different bakeries. After checking yelp, a few yelpers snapped a pic of the PRINCESS CAKE- I knew I had to get down there to sample this beautiful cake. Yesterday's purchase Princess Cake and Raspberry Lemon Mousse. Oh mygosh- the princess cake would be a great addition to any tea parties- a visual work of art- layers of cake airy and light, sweetened whipped cream, fruit jam covered in an almond fondant. I am not a fan of almond, and I am glad that it not compromise the tastiness of the cake.. the raspberry lemon mousse - i liked the slight tanginess of the lemon- the cake was very moist and the mousse was so creamy, light with a just enough raspberries. I like the visual contrast in both cakes- I will definitely be back again.. 10/10.

    I've never seen any.

Is it possible to have any of the pastries shipped?

The pastries dont ship well, as they are made fresh and are delicate. Copengahgen normally only ships rye bread, But that doesn't mean YOU can't ship them, or have someone you know ship them.

Chef Yang Soon began developing the reimagined classic Helms Bakery twelve years ago but could not have anticipated the huge changes that were to hit the dining landscape with the Covid pandemic. The decline of going out / dining out, changes in spending habits and the rise of delivery services made this Art Deco styled concept bakery financially unsustainable. Helms has a fascinating history. In 1932 their bread, Olympic Bread, was declared the official bread of the Olympic Games. This led to worldwide recognition. Delivery wagons, or coaches, brought bread, doughnuts and other baked goods to Angelenos' homes with their slogan, "Daily at Your Door." Helms was the bread that astronauts in Apollo 11 took to the moon. World Famous.
