PAVILIONS @ LA JOLLA Parking is available in an entire lot free of charge, it was definitely busy on a Friday today because the sun's out! Easy walking distance. The grocery store itself is very clean, and already into the season of fall! We were there to look for ice cream, specifically Talenti, sadly they had so much being sold out in the flavor but we still got another with many options. The deals were great, it was buy two bags of chips and get the two free! The cash registers for self check out went by quick, you can also pay through a cashier in their many opened aisles. The selection was great, ambiance was clean, and the staff were very friendly. There is also a Starbucks located inside, was very crowded with only one worker however. I will definitely come back!

I went to Pavilions today to get a chicken dinner. The dinner was very delicious. I had two thighs, caesar salad, and macaroni salad. The service was very fast and made sure to assist me with a fork and napkins so I could enjoy my meal. Very clean inside as well. I wish I could've got chicken salad as a side by that counts as a protein but my macaroni salad was a good switch.

Used to frequent this place 25 years ago. Excellent spot for a quick pick me up if you need coffee or even food. They have a decent floral department too! Easy to get in and out of and it's never too busy. Dropped by here one night to grab a soda and gum. Was in and out in a flash. Wouldn't hesitate to drop by again when in the area.

    The corn nicely trimmed.

I love the produce department, great selection, the team gave me the ultimate shopping experience. Helped me pick my summer fruit, melons, soft fruit, corn , and cherries. 8 am and everything look amazing tables loaded with fresh fruit, Mngo gave me a free sample of the freshly squeezed OJ it was delicious. Young bubba helped me with the melons.

Had a great experience. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Store was clean. Food was in good condition. Now the prices... that's the fault of inflation. I had no issues getting everything we needed.

From delicious food, to fresh produce, to the most gorgeous and vibrant flowers, to beautiful pottery, to unique clothes... you name it, they have it there! Make sure to come early as parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to park closer to the farmers' market. Once you get parked though, everything is a breeze. They even have tables and chairs around for people to eat at. There's also a playground for families who have little ones! I could never go to a farmers' market and leave without fresh flowers, so of course I had to pick up some from Hidalgo Flowers. They always have the most colorful and stunning arrangements, and for a decent price too. This time, I got a bunch with the prettiest sunflowers. We also picked up the sweetest and reddest strawberries from this one vendor. I highly regret not getting their name, but I will definitely be on the hunt for them the minute we go back. We got a cup of strawberries with some dark chocolate sauce from Strawberries and Chocolate. That was sooo good! We devoured it so quickly, we didn't even get to take a picture of it. One of the standouts for me was the Pork Sisig Rice from Baryo Eats. It was AHHHHMAZING!! It's the best kind of pork sisig that I love to eat--the taste was so good and nostalgic, it took me back to my college days back in the Philippines! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We also got some Paella from Driana Catering/Taste of Spain. It was so flavorful and the rice was cooked to perfection. We were just sad they ran out of shrimp by the time we got some, so we were left with chicken only. We got some goodies from It's Cafe Thai as well--Milk Tea with Boba, Taro Thai Coffee, and the Mango Sticky Rice. All of them had just the right amount of sweetness and hit the spot for us. Lastly, we had some of the watermelon and the cucumber lemonade refreshers, and the chicken and pork tamales from Gourmet Tamales. They were so good, we even took some home for later! Overall, I'm already looking forward to the next Sunday we can stop by this farmers' market!

I made tuna salad with celery and onions. Well have grilled veg with dinner. Magical berries all day. The special grilled cheese with gruyere, honey, mustard and all the other little meals il weave my Ja Jolla open air marked finds - incredible. Love the Whole Foods bakery, they have all sorts of sizes for the desserts. Like for the tres leches, they have a family size and individual size. You honestly can't go wrong with any of those bakery items. I also love their hot bar, ~$12 per pound. There are always a variety of options, usually I see tikka masala, chicken tenders, rice, samosas. I usually add some of the premade salads from the cold bar too. Just have to be careful as it is easy to get carried away and get TOO much food, lol. Some items can taste a bit dry (since they sit on the hot bar all day), but for the most part, it's a solid quick meal. Note they may put away the hot bar a bit earlier than close so you might not catch it if you come too late.

If you're planning a beach holiday in this part of town, you will probably end up shopping at this exact convenience store. We got into town ahead of our friends, and they requested that we buy a couple of long-handled wood and plastic beach shovels for their kids. They sent us a picture and said they could never find them anywhere except at the beachside shops in La Jolla. We went on a little walk and immediately came across Neighbor-Saver, and sure enough, the shovels were there, right when we went in. The shop was big and well stocked, as clean and nice as it had to be and not even a little bit more. There were toys and apparel for sale, plus all the standard convenience store items and a counter for Thrifty ice cream. We picked up three shovels, figuring our boys might want their own, and a $22 bottle of spray-on sunscreen. The cashier was polite, the transaction seamless and quick. We checked into La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club later that afternoon and the boys and I didn't leave for the next two days. The kids loved playing at the beach, and they were absolutely obsessed with those shovels. My husband did go on a couple of errands, hunting and gathering pizza and wine. He brought back a few decent bottles, and when I asked him where he found them, he said he just walked to the Neighbor-Saver Market. The selection wasn't impressive or anything, but we drank perfectly well. In retrospect, I regret not going back to the market to pick up one more beach shovel. Our friends were right, as it turns out--you can't just buy the same ones on Amazon. I'll have to go back to Neighbor-Savor next time we're in La Jolla. We'll probably be there anyway, for whatever else we need.
