First impressions are off to a bad start with this company. I attempted a chat session with them this morning. The chat window's been open for 1 hour and 20 minutes. No live agent yet. I called and talked to someone offshore, he wasn't even a customer service agent who could help. All he could do is enter my contact info in the system and initiate a ticket and tell me someone from Customer Service will call me back within 24 to 48 hours. In the time I've been waiting to talk to a human, I looked on their web site. Their marketing is geared to get you to buy a plan faster than needed. It markets 400 mpbs per second as only being fast enough for "lite web browsing". Far from true; you can stream media apps very well at that speed. They don't show pricing on their site, but I did find that a posting from someone saying 1 gbps is $70 monthly in another state. I get 600 mbps monthly from Xfinity for that price and that's fast enough for my family. I'll stay with Xfinity where I can get someone on the phone at a reasonable time and where I don't have to deal with outages. I left their chat window open. Now it's going on 1 hour and 40 minutes and no agent is still available. I'd stay away from this company. read more

My internet during the day time is slower than the old dial up I had years ago. download 75.16 - upload 21.5. But in the late evening it speeds up and works fine. Every time I call it's unplug this and that. Ordered costly Cat 6 cables per their request, no help. Its an ongoing problem and the techs work off of a script on troubleshooting and that's all they know. Did they offer to send anyone out to check the problem. HELL NO. At least the previous providers cared enough to come out and check it. So if you want a provider that offers no help, and reads off a script, and speaks poor English, and is costly, then use Pavlov Media. If you want better service with help, then look elsewhere. One week later and we have switched back to cable internet. We never got a functioning router from Pavlov. One thing to note--this internet company has no way to cancel service online. You have to place a phone call. I called to cancel on Saturday and they said they would have someone call me back Monday to confirm cancelation since you can only do that during regular M-F business hours. My apartment complex forced all residents to switch to this service, which should've been my first red flag. Wifi overall worked fine for about a month. Then it abruptly kicked me off the network. I tried to sign back in with the same password I'd had the entire time, only to be told it was invalid. I went to the portal to troubleshoot only to be told my account was inactive. No action items to reactivate my account, no explanation for what exactly this meant, just "your account is inactive". I clicked the troubleshoot button and Pavlov helpfully informed me there was an issue (no duh) and had me press another button to fix it. Immediately once I clicked the button it said that fixed the issue and offered me a prompt to view my wifi password, which I figured would let me solve the issue! Instead the prompt redirected me to the home screen reminding me of my apparently inactive account. Still no wifi. Jumped through hoops to get on a live chat and waited forever for help. I worked for this company for over a year and was continuously harassed by my supervisor. Despite multiple complaints to HR no attempt to hold him accountable was made. He was allowed unilateral control over my career without any oversight. I was the 2nd female employee under his supervision to be let go. They also habitually lie on financial statements concerning the amount of customers to the investment firm. Their goal is to artificially inflate customer numbers. Anyone in Gainesville Florida knows Cox Cable was the solo provider for broadband and also a Monopoly for the city (once DSL died). So no one had a choice for high speed internet till a few years ago when AT&T started fiber service in select area's then came Pavlov which laid Fiber for a good portion of GNV. I was in the laid area and once switched on around six months after the fiber was laid, I switched over from Cox Cable. Took around two days from signing up to being installed. The installation time took 2.5 hours most of the time was the fiber install from the fiber box to the house. Once installed and provisioned everything worked and speed tests were as expected for the 1GB service (947.66 up / 936.80 down). The ONT equipment given was a Calix point 1100x Gigapoint which does not have WIFI built in. Which was great as I already had Google Nest WIFI so I simply plugged that into the ethernet port with one power recycle and all was good to go. I seemed to be the first one on my block to be installed so I expect more people to switch over from Cox crooks in the coming days. I noticed a lot of complaints but in my area everything is new from the Fiber being laid to the service which was switched on six months after the fiber rollout. read more

My apartment building uses this ISP, and its horrible. First week of school, the wifi would shut off 10pm every night on the dot. Then, the wifi went out for two weeks straight. Every time a call was made to the front desk complaining about the lack of wifi, they said a "technician" from the "company" was coming that same day. Every day. Everyone in the building was forced to go to the library to study. Not being able to do homework in your own room is completely unacceptable, especially in an apartment made for students only. Pavlov Media installed a fiber internet cable for our house two months ago but still has not buried it. They had JULIE mark the utilities with flags for burying the cable almost a month after the initial connection, but we noticed JULIE did not mark the gas line and warned them of this. Pavlov has not worked with JULIE to get this resolved, and there are still flags and an exposed cable running across the entire length of my front yard. We've called numerous times, and it seems Pavlov does not care to get this resolved. They will blame JULIE, but the fact is Pavlov waited well over a month before even planning to bury this cable. And when I called last week, Pavlov told me their records indicated that the cable had been buried over a month ago, even though we've called at least once a week for the last 5 weeks. Clearly, they do not care about this. My front lawn looks like a mess. The path for the cable they laid out also runs right through the roots of my oak tree. I don't think they know what they are doing. But they are happy to keep billing us for the service despite not holding up their end of the deal. It's extremely simple why this company delivers terrible Internet service. This review section should already be enough to provide a brief summary of their reputation though. Net neutrality was revoked many years ago. Although the legality of this act is pretty complex, it ultimately allows ISPs to slow, throttle, or block certain consumers' Internet based on their choosing. They can provide a better service if they want to. Could they dig more fiber lines? Upgrade their equipment? Hire more employees? Yes. Would it be beneficial for them as a company? No. Pavlov has already secured tons of contracts with certain apartment complexes and other various properties, and their company is nowhere as close to the other major ISPs (Verizon, Comcast, etc.). They're already stable in terms of consistent basic revenue, but only for the absolute basic service they can provide. If you, along with millions of customers live in a property that has Pavlov Media as their ISP, your only solution is to use a VPN - which allows you to reroute your traffic to an actual decent provider and provides your data encryption as well. Or, you can always find a different place to live. The apartment complexes themselves will probably just refer you to the ISP for "support" if you tried complaining to them. Condolences to those who already signed leases with properties that use Pavlov Media, and I hope those people find an alternative solution that works for them if the ones I mentioned cannot be done. read more

A few days later they were supposed to come into my apartment to install ethernet in my bedroom. They kept pushing back their visit. When they finally came in I was actually out of town. When I came home I found they hadn't even really cleaned up after themselves in my room. Also they closed my cat inside my bedroom, so she had no food or water for a couple of days.
