I first want to say Samy the owner was very disgusting to me. He has been extremely rude. I called him to see if I could bring in my dog for a hair cut and he said he wasn't available until Saturday which is today. March 26. I called him at noon and told him Mathew had an appt with him. And he said I told you that ? Ok bring him in, so I take my dog there. Samy the owner was very hostile with from the beginning. I was at the grocery store up the street (I live about 37 mins away) so I simply called him and asked him how long will it be. So I know wether to go home or come back. He said to me "Just come get him now, I don't like people pressuring me, & I'm not in the mood to do your dog's hair today" this is in in his exact words. So I picked him up and told him he had no reason to treat me that way I've been nice to him all the time. He said I wasn't special and he had a lot of f*cking dogs in the shop. The blonde girl that works there said to me " I'm so sorry this happened to you" . He was so so unprofessional and evil . Never go here . Also my dogs private parts got Infected before . And I told Samy he cut his hair too close to his skin . He didn't even say sorry or anything . read more

I do not recommend this place. There is no customer service. The man in the front is so rude when I ask him how long it will take for my dog grooming to be finish. He replied " I don't like it when I'm ask that question nor do I like to say a time frame " really ! (And in the tone he said it in.) Then I go to pick up my dog and he has patches of hair missing. I've been going to Samy for at least 6 years with my English bulldog Hodor, and sometimes my cat (for a lion shave). We always get a bath and brush for Hodor and he loves going to Samy's. It's to the point he pushes the door open himself to get inside and whines to be taken back by his leash. Samy's Grooming has a wonderfully friendly staff and I can't say enough positive things. My dog is always clean, smelling fresh, and most importantly happy whenever I pick him up. It's seriously his favorite place to go and it's nice how Samy lets the friendly dogs all free to congregate. Never had a problem. Love the shop cat Charlie to death! They treat your pets with care and are respectful of any considerations (e.g. preferred shampoo, kenneling or not, no snacks, etc.) Samy also offers boarding and again I've had no issues. Highly recommend this grooming salon to any pet owner. read more

I brought my Goldendood once for a wash only. The landlord, Bobby, praised the way he revolves around this business and welcomed us to try out their grooming services. So we brought our doodle to the grooming services. The groomer (Hispanic) behind the desk was rude and hesitant to take my doodle, despite having an appointment. The owner, Bobby, was not in office. The groomer insisted my doodle was matted despite me explaining that the dog was in the pool the day before and that we brush weekly. The groomer said he was all alone and if I decided to leave the dog, it would be a while before he could get to it and I wouldn't be pleased with the haircut because of the dog mats. I looked around and I realized that the groomer was on his own. Doing it all, answering phones, calling owners to pick their dogs, all while having TWO small dogs on one grooming table and another dog over his arm, and a few others waiting in crates. I felt unsafe leaving my 3-year-old Goldendood, which is also a service dog. I immediately left and will never return or refer friends or family to this this business. I've taken all 3 of my Golden Doodles here for years, all he asked was I call ahead to reserve a day and time. I bring my dogs in 1 per day so not to overwhelm. When I picked my 1st dog up, Sammy told me he decided he didn't want to groom big dogs anymore. Understandably upset, I told him I understood and that I would find a new groomer for the future. Samy would not honor the the call ahead appointment I had for my other two dogs, and they were left ungroomed. I feel if you made a commitment and told me I could bring my dogs in on said date and time, you should honor that. The owner was extremely mean towards me when I took my poodle to his place after rescuing her, it was my 2nd time when it happened,, I was so happy to bring her back again, but he was rude to me in a scary way because he thought my dog was too matted, but I just wasn't used to grooming a poodle yet, and he was also angry because I was amazed about a beautiful breed of dog I've never seen in real life, he said my happiness was upsetting the dogs?? It was like he had another personality because its not normal for business owners to act that way to his customers, I've been grooming my baby myself for 5 years now. It was a hauntingly bizarre experience, his mean behavior, his scowling and angrily speaking to a customer in front of his scared female workers. Again, I think he has more than 1 personality. We have Been bringing our yorkipoo here for 3 years . The last two times we left with the same instructions as always and both times I showed up to our yorkipoo looking terrible . !!THIS PLACE IS NOT SAMYS ANYMORE!!! This place use to be the best groomer in town. We drive from Summerlin because they do such a good but that is NOT the case anymore. The new owner was friendly and they said they didn't change the name because people leave when they see the change. They did raise the price with the owner change. I didn't care about the owner change, I just wanted them to do a good job. They reassured me that they knew how to do a short ear yorkie cut and that they were gonna bathe her twice. When we picked her up, I brought her to the car and immediately thought she smelled good but the haircut was soooo bad. Shes red all over her stomach. There were so many long stray hairs all over her ears and feet. The haircut was so uneven and just awful. I seriously could have done a better job myself. I rode with her on my lap on the way home and I had so many tiny hairs on me so that means that they cut her and never got the hair off her after. I'm just so disappointed because we drove so far expecting a good hair cut and now I have to cut her myself to fix the bad job done. I'm sorry but i gave you guys a chance and the results were just unsatisfactory. The job done by the groomer was not worth the price we paid. When we picked her up, there was someone trimming a yorkie that looked amazing, so I know atleast some of the staff does a good job but not the person who did the haircut on my dog. read more

So I was recommended Samy's by A Cat Hospital. First let me say I am so happy to get my cat her first lion cut. They did an fantastic job, we will definitely be going back. Second I want to address some other post I had seen about a male at the shop being rude. I know how people are about their pets but seriously to say someone is rude because they don't respond to you the way you want them to in my opinion is someone who thinks they are entitled. You need to get over yourself. When we arrived for our 7:00 appointment I did what any normal human would do and said good morning. The man did not say good morning back to me. But that's ok maybe he did not get what he needed last night I don't know. But he certainly was not rude. Will this keep me from spending my money with them. What this tells me is there is obvious room for improvement in how people interact with each other. In his defense it did sound like he was busy when I set my appointment. When I picked up my pet the shop was quite busy so once again grace must be applied. For Gods sake just call back if you get hung up on. Once again not the most convenient situation. But if you like how they groom your pet then get over yourself and call back. I'm sorry but I just think some people need to go back and re-educate themselves on their own etiquette. Yes I will be going back and if I get hung up on I'll call back and voice my concern. I hope the young man gets what he needs for a better demeanor. But bless him for what he did with my girl. Warning to all pet owners! This place is Horrible! As we all know, our pets are our children! So the 1st time I took my Siamese Cat here, the owner, Samy, was a complete Asshole! He was so rude and just didn't care to hear what I wanted as my grooming service. I had to check Samy and tell him that there was no need to be rude and that he needs to have a professional customer service if he wanted my business. So I decided to have my cat groomed and test the waters but I had to put up with his stupid ass in the beginning. Next, I take my cat for the 2nd time and "OMG" he did the worst job ever!! The grooming was horrific! He trimmed my baby's nails and made him bleed on all of his nails from how short he trimmed them!! My baby was so sad and in pain, he couldn't walk!! I took my dog here for the first time because it was a good price and it was close to my house and the first time she looked pretty good so I began to keep taking her. The owner Sammy is not very nice, they don't make appointments for you they tell you to go a certain day and once you go he says they are tooo busy, this had happen more than once. My mom then took her dog a little small Chihuahua who is an inside dog never is around any other dog, the put a non shedding shampoo that didn't work, my mom started to see rashes on her dog and turns out she had got fleas from this place at Sammy's they just let the dogs run around everywhere. The owner hates his job (he makes that clear) so I have a hard time believing he or his similarly apathetic staff likes the pets. So disinterested in listening to client requests that he essentially dismisses any instructions or questions with a wave of the hand. But the worst and inexcusable part is the aesthetic, physical and emotional state of my dogs when they have been returned to me (three times). I will never go back after having one dog deeply cut, another returned with a huge grease (dye?) stain that had to grow out before it could be removed by trimming, and a third returned with an either injured or infected eye. In the last two instances, I asked questions and was met with denial or blame. This place doesn't give a crap about the animals. And they don't even make them look good. If you want your pets to be just as unhappy as the staff, bring them here. If you care about their wellbeing, STAY AWAY. read more
