The staff is incredibly loving and communicates well with the pet owners. The dogs are kept on a strict schedule of playing in the communal playroom, getting walks, napping, eating meals, and going to sleep at night. I think the schedule really helps the dogs know what to expect at any time during their stay. I recommend having your dog go for a few days / half days of daycare prior to the first boarding visit as it helps the dog become familiar with the establishment, the routines and to know that they'll eventually go home again. I can't say enough about the staff! They're all very caring and pass along important information as well as comments about your dog that make you realize how much they interact and care about each and every dog in their care. I only wish I had found this establishment years ago!

My dog almost rips my arm off to get inside and comes home tired from a fun day of playing with his doggy friends. I have been to several other doggy day care faculties in our area as well as two other states so I do have over 20 years of experiences. I have learned that no matter what cleaning precautions are taken and how much people care, dogs will still pass things to other dogs just like kids do at daycare, preschool, etc. I have never been upset at my kids school because one of my children came home sick as it's the nature of being outside of your house. Bark and Roll takes every precaution possible to keeps dogs healthy and happy. They deeply care about each and every dog which is something I value above all else. They have three dogs of their own that are their babies, one of which was a rescue who has blossomed from playing there, and they are there almost every day with them. I have realistic expectations of a doggy daycare and if you do too, you will never take your dog anywhere else. side note I have boarded my dogs with a dog trainer from a big name training facility in NOVA who said the benefit of boarding with him personally was that he takes 1-3 dogs to his home for boarding to be with his family which keeps them from getting sick. BOTH times I paid over $1000 for this, and BOTH times my dog came home with kennel cough and then whip worms the second time. He was in a private home with no more than 2 other dogs. My point in adding this is that it only takes ONE dog to make your dog sick and the only way to prevent that is to stay home. I choose to take my dog to place place where he is loved and cared for the way he is at home!
