I ran into a situation where I needed some work done at my home, and I could not continue to foster the FOURTEEN foster pets that I had through them at the time. Rather than work with me, help me, and have empathy for my situation, I experienced a lot of pushback, and negative reactions to needing a break from fostering. My phone calls and texts were not being returned. When they were returned, I was met with attitude and a complete lack of understanding or compassion. After much resistance, they finally took the fosters back. They don't supply their fosters with food or supplies as they claim. Not once was I given any supplies for the dozens of animals that I fostered through them, even when I expressed that the puppies I was fostering were going through more food than I could manage. They also don't spay and neuter most of their animals before adoption. Now that I am back in my home, neither Regan, nor Jaime, (the founders of PORT), will return my messages asking about the well-being of my former fosters. If you bend over and break your back for them, you'll be great. But God forbid life happens and you find yourself unable to help, because you then mean NOTHING to them. Proceed with caution should you decide to do any sort of business with PORT. Don't expect a lot of help. Definitely don't expect compassion and empathy when life happens. Edit in response to PORT's reply: Port requires a minimum of 5 days notice for return, except in cases of emergency. I had an emergency. I explained this to you guys over and over and over again and your response was, "that must be tough." I had a dog through you that was being aggressive with a child. But you guys didn't consider a threat to someone's safety an emergency and were of no help. In some cases, I waited more than 5 days for you to help; I waited literally weeks! Not to mention that that dog was pregnant, and when I took her, you never advised me that that was a possibility. So I ended up with eight puppies, when I agreed to one. It was never "clear to you" that our foster relationship had come to its conclusion and that I wished to step away. I quite literally told you that once I was back in my home, I would take the animals back if they still needed placement. I notified you on July 10th that I could not handle all of the puppies. You did not take them until July 18th, and that was only after I showed up to get their shots and microchips, and had to PLEAD with you to help me. I notified both of you that Rusty was a safety risk, and you literally did not care. Even after notifying you of the unsafe circumstances, it took you two days to take her, and that was only after I refused to give you any more leeway. That was also after I had notified you on July 10th that I could not handle all of the animals that I had. You did not take Rusty back until July 31st. I let you know on July 28th that I was having trouble getting the kittens adopted. I notified you on August 4th that we needed to move the kittens. You did not take them until August 15th. As for the spay/neuter, it's irresponsible for a rescue not to spay and neuter before adoption, regardless of any contract. I also asked, several times, about getting my fosters fixed, and you never followed through. Don't gaslight me. You did enough of that when I was actually fostering with you.

A number of professionals worked with us to find relief for our dog. They contacted our previous vet for us to get records and even patiently waited when "put on hold" to get further details about previous treatments. All questions were kindly answered, our input was welcomed, and we were included in all of the treatment (drawing blood, administering fluids...). Just a couple of hours after the appointment, we were emailed a detailed (4 pages) document, recording all that transpired during the visit. To top it all off, everything was affordable and everyone was so very pleasant!

She took her in to see Dr. Callejo in the Springboro Office. I had taken my dog there in the past. She wanted $720 to do 5 ex-rays and NO blood work. After agreeing to blood work, she said what she was doing would not show signs of cancer at rate of $420. She said her annual office visit is $420 with blood work. The tech suggested on doing 2 ex-rays so it would be less expensive. Dr. Callejo refused saying she wanted 5 ex-rays. It then became quite obvious that Dr. Callejo was strictly out for money. When I was going there, the vet cared about the animal and was much more compassionate and willing to work with you. When your pet is sick you want someone that cares about the animal not just the money. She could have done 1 or 2 ex-rays not 5 and then determined what else was needed. I will never recommend them again. What a sad experience.

My husband and I have brought our little puppy in for her vaccinations and have continued coming back for each round because everyone has been so kind. Every staff member we've interacted with has been welcoming, patient, and genuinely seems to love and care about the animals they see. You can tell they aren't just doing a job. The only thing I can really comment on is that the building itself is a bit older. The outside can look a little intimidating, and the inside is definitely dated. It was also very quiet when I was there, with no other clients in the waiting room, which honestly felt a little unusual at first. But once we met the staff, none of that mattered. If you're judging this clinic based on appearances or older reviews, I'd encourage you to give them a chance. Our experience has been nothing but positive, and we'll definitely continue bringing our puppy here.

Today I had a litter of puppies seen and got the call to pay. This was normal. The lady gave me an update on my puppies and then gave me the total.... $550+!!!! I about passed out. For my puppies to be seen, given wormer, and one vaccine each. Then I asked for a breakdown of costs. She went on to say that there was an office visit PER PUPPY, which I have NEVER been charged. Every other vet has 1 office fee for a litter. Then she went on to tell me that there was a $40 fee for a flight certificate. I asked about this and she said "well, we discounted it, but it's because we had to do extra paperwork" excuse me? I've flown puppies all over the country try and NEVER been charged for a flight certificate when I'm already at the vet's office. She went on to say "well, it was supposed to be more. We gave you a $25 discount" what? Y'all have lost your minds!!!! She then got very snippy with me and would not let me speak to anyone in leadership and demanded I pay the amount or bring back the paperwork. She said the cost reflected what they had to use on the puppy, which was shots and wormer, which was all charged separately, so there's another lie. THEN I find out they came and grabbed each puppy INDIVIDUALLY instead of doing a litter check and did not allow the lady who had them there for me in the room during their exam. They made the lady helping me with this litter WAIT IN THE WAITING ROOM instead of seeing them in an exam room. How am I to even know the exam was completed correctly? I will never do business with this horrible establishment again and I warn you to consider this your warning. They'd probably let your dog die before giving it proper care and then charge you for their inconvenience. Horrible practices and horrible customer service. This place was a one and done for me! Of course we were not interested in giving our pup away. Last week we left for our vacation to Hawaii. Shannon sent me a text demanding a cashiers check be overnighted. Of course our Houston Bank didn't have a branch there. We offered to wire transfer funds. She said she didn't trust banks. ( really ) Then she suggested Moneygram. We found a location in Laihaina and sent it for the final $1300. Later the Moneygram folks contacted me and said they were not a consumer product company and would not allow the transaction to go through. I told Shannon and suggested Western Union. She agreed and asked me where I'd send. The next day when I got up Shannon had sent a text telling me she had changed her mind. She would not sell us "Jake". My wife and I had flown to Ohio to see him at 5 weeks old. I had posted every new pic ( 3 ) that we had received. Shannon Randolph and hubby broke our hearts, gave us sleepless nights and ruined the last three days of our vacation. Why ? Probably GREED!!!! I have every text message we exchanged outlining all of our arrangements. She clearly violated our contract.
