Anytime I have a question (worrywart pet dad) I just email and they respond within a few hours, usually with advice from the owner, Dr. Devon. Our puppy's regular vet, Dr. Redin, is excellent with her detailed care, checking for dysplasia when we didn't know it was a concern and recommending against an optional operation we were considering, saving us unnecessary expense. We highly recommend this practice.

I decided to first bring the rabbit I already had for a few years to get checked since she hasn't been seen since her spay ( different vet). At this initial visit, I was immediately turned off upon walking in. The front desk staff is not very friendly and they were annoyed with me, accusing me of not filling out my paperwork prior to the appointment even though I told them that I did fill it out and submitted it last night. Their internet has been down for many hours, due to a storm, and the receptionist didn't want to accept that the outage may be the reason they didn't receive my information. Anyways, she obtained my information and we moved along. My appointment was with Dr. Betz. He was not friendly either. Didn't introduce himself, got annoyed when I asked him for his name. After his assessment of my rabbit, he began charting with a concerned look upon his face. I asked if everything was ok, and he told me he would get to me once he was done charting. Being in healthcare myself, I found his demeanor cold and didn't care much for his bedside manor. He did not go into any detail on how to care for rabbits nor did he go into detail on the rabbits physical assessment, just told me she looked good. I left the exam room feeling like I was an annoyance to him and he doesn't care much for his line of work. When I checked out, I asked the receptionist to please make sure my appointment for my new rabbit was not with him. She assured me that she would change it to Dr. Pacifico. Today: I just brought our new rabbit in for his initial check up with Dr. Pacifico and OMG!!!! It's like night and day from my experience last week. The front desk staff isn't that welcoming, but Dr. Pacifico make up for them. He is so friendly, caring and took his time to go over his assessment of my rabbit and listened to my concerns carefully and provided excellent feedback. Dr. Pacifico is most likely the reason this practice stays afloat. I am so impressed with him and his passion for small animals. He mentioned to me that his daughters are involved with our local 4H and I could really tell that not only is he passionate about animals, but so are his children. His passion is innate and definitely what makes up the majority of this man's DNA. I am considering him as a vet for our doodle.

For several years they groomed both my golden retrievers and they always treated them so kind and with such patience. One of my dogs was very timid and would lie down the whole time and the other dog was a bundle of energy. They had always been a challenge for previous groomers, but when we went to McFee's they had no problem and always came home looking beautiful. A few weeks ago I made an appointment for my remaining dog (his sister passed a few years ago), but before the appointment came, my sweet Rebel died after being ill for several weeks. The morning of the grooming appointment I saw it pop up on my calendar and realized I had never canceled it. So I called McFee's and spoke with a woman who was so kind on the phone (even though I know for a small business this left a hole in their schedule where another dog could have come in). But, she was completely understanding and was so comforting talking about how hard it must be and when we are ready to get another dog to come back. Today, I received in the mail a condolence card for our family signed with messages from all the staff. Our family is so touched! These are the special things that make a business truly excellent, if I could give them 10 stars I would. And I hope to be back soon.

I made it abundantly clear when scheduling that I would need to be given Oxytocin in the event of complications which I was told 'of course, no problem!'. I took her on February 9th, received her radiographs and was then made to wait about 25 minutes where they could 'see about the prescription'. Once I was given it, I went through Chewy to order it (on February 9th) and staff neglected to approve the request for two entire days full well knowing Bay was due on Friday, February 13th and I stressed it's importance. I made phone calls, sent texts and was told a doctor would get back to me. I then was told it was my responsibility to upload the script to Chewy (which I couldn't find anyway) - which I then contacted Chewy and was told that was incorrect and they had been waiting for my vet approval this entire time, Chewy even called them and received no response. Regardless if I had the script or not, it was not my responsibility and the office did not prioritize my pregnant dog nor her puppies. I eventually was contacted on February 11th around 4pm by the practice manager who told me her staff did not feel comfortable prescribing the medication anymore after I spent $400 on the vet visit and now wasted two days. Fast forward February 12th - Bay goes into labor and as I expected, needs assistance from the drug; but I do not have it because Doylestown Vet had my hands tied and denied my dog the care she needed for a successful labor. I make an emergency trip to the ER (an additional $900 expense) she delivers 3 deceased puppies and 3 living puppies. We head home and now her labor is stalled again and the ER asked me to use the Oxytocin my vet should have responsibility prescribed me as standard repro practice. But here I am, unprepared because Doylestown chose ignorance over the reality of whelping puppies. I understand vet school and ethics, but if you care for some field experience, there's a big reality check here at my house because of your lack of concern for myself, my dog and her puppies. Shame on you for putting me in this position, stalling to tell me you had a change of mind about my dog's care, and then running down the clock so I had limited options on how to proceed finding her the care she needed. Edited to add, we are now a week out from Bay's delivery and I have had zero follow up from this practice. Ethics? I don't think so.
