I rarely write Yelp reviews, but this one was deserving. We had to take our Utley in to emergency care because he suddenly had 2 seizures at 11 years old. Everywhere we called in my area apparently had a 5 hour wait time (which seemed strange). We found out about Crown Veterinary Specialists who were 40 minutes from us and called and they took him right in. The doctor and staff found that he had a mass on his spleen and it appeared to be spreading. We had to make the toughest decision in our lives and say goodbye to our best friend. During the process, the staff and Dr. Yuhas couldn't have been more sensitive about the situation and they made sure that Utley's last minutes were as comfortable for him and us. We even received a sympathy card in the mail that we weren't expecting. The entire staff is wonderful and I would highly recommend Crown Veterinary Specialists. They care about you and your pet; which I have found not to be the case with others we have gone to. Thank you Dr. Yuhas and staff for making this tough time easier on us. It went a long way :)

 Crossed Rainbow Bridge: 3/17/2025

I can't say enough about Crown Veterinary and Dr. Clarke. Dr. Clarke was so compassionate and explained everything to us regarding our boy Diesel. Unfortunately, we had to let our boy cross the rainbow bridge but being in that moment with such wonderful and compassionate staff was truly was a blessing.

Was here with my dog who randomly starting pooping large amounts of blood. I was there at 7:30 and didn't leave till 12:20am. No one came to update me unless I asked at the counter. Male receptionist was tolerant and tried his best to push it along as it was such an incredibly inappropriate wait time but the fact they kept pushing my dogs care to last in line when we were there that long was insane, anyone would have been irritated which I tried to contain. My dog has anxiety (long story short was why she was Sh**ing blood from my trip away last week due to anxiety) she suffered Emotionally sitting back there crying for so many hours on top of everything else. I'll going to call and try to have my vet not recommend them to clients for emergency care anymore. They aren't organized and low staffed. This was unacceptable.

I can't say enough about this wonderful service. They squeezed my sweet Henny Penny in for an abdominal scan and dermatologist consult immediately. Everyone there is warm kind caring and supportive. Dr White Weithers stayed late to do consult and spoke to me directly about Henny as did Dr Panarello after her scan. A special shout out to Shannon Corrine Donna and Haley and the entire staff who were always very helpful and understanding when I called multiple times with questions. I cannot recommend this service strongly enough. Again - Thank you

I had my cat get his stenotic nares and soft palate surgery. The staff was friendly, transparent about pricing and available to answer my questions and concerns. The experience was stressful but we were assured throughout the process that our cat was doing well. They were aware our cat was asthmatic and even kept him in an oxygen tank as a precaution. The surgery is working since I can't hear my cat snorting or snoring anymore and he seems to be happier and more active now that he's getting appropriate airflow. I highly recommend Crown Veterinary for surgical needs. They are very professional and courteous.

He got me through some REALLY tough times over the past ten years, and honestly I'm not sure how I would have gotten through the pandemic without him. So knowing his time with me was coming to a close, I left it in his hands to tell me when it was time to go. And, unfortunately, that was the day he woke up and his eyes said simply, "Enough." The staff was attentive and kind from the jump. An examination revealed the options, but it was obvious that whatever was happening was quite serious - and I was given a breakdown of potential next steps. Of course with Sid's age, putting him down was also an option, and I already knew this is what we were going with. I did not receive any pressure to run any preliminary tests, procedures, or additional costs. I was simply told what the options were, and provided with an honest opinion of what the outcomes could be. And all options sucked. BUT it was obvious that the people helping me genuinely cared, and it made the heartbreak just a tiny bit easier. I had never had to do this before and I came in with Sid alone, so the vet guided me through what we were doing, what was next, and gave me ample time in between to say goodbye. Again, no real way to make these things less painful, but there was something in the attention and care I was receiving that made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone. The staff was going through it with me. I also received a beautiful card in the mail from them afterwards, hand-signed with a personal message from each - and this small gesture brought such warmth to my heart that I felt I had to share it. Highly recommend this place.

I spent 3+ hours there but it didn't feel like it. I was able to be by his side the entire time, there was hydration and snacks, and I was comfortable. I feel like every nurse checked in with us at least once. Even my cat felt chill enough after a while to curl up and nap in his large cage (they were quite busy and all rooms were taken). As off Feb '25 it was $200 for just the most basic care, for what it's worth, and in our situation it was very much worth it. They sent everything to my usual vet, including recommended follow up testing. Flippin' awesome and so helpful for moving forward after a terrible Sunday!

I brought my orange domestic shorthair in for severe constipation after I couldn't get an appointment with my regular vet. The facility itself is very bright and comforting, which helped ease the stress of an emergency visit. They even have snacks and beverages for pet parents! It is a very active ER--it was intense seeing other pets coming in and witnessing some difficult moments for other families--but the team was incredible at multitasking and treating everyone with compassion. It is more expensive than a standard vet visit, but for the immediate service and high quality of care we received, it was absolutely worth it. It was like being in our own home. There was a fish tank, bookshelves, etc. My husband thought it was a bit over the top, but I can see how dogs would find it much more comforting than a cat would. Molly was peaceful and calm. She was allowed to be in her carrier after the initial catheter procedure. She didn't like the catheter in her leg, but otherwise it was much better than lying on a hard metal table. We opted to let her gently fall asleep and then left the room for her final moment.

After searching Yelp for an open Veterinary Hospital on a Friday night; found Eclipse open 24 hours. So, I made the call and spoke with them to confirm they were open and they have the ability to address her situation. Arriving after a 20 minute ride, there was no waiting time, they took her immediately to the treatment area for a prompt examination of her situation. After completing the initial intake documentation we spoke with a technician to explain the situation that led us there. After a period of time, the ER Vet - Dr. Charlotte Van Horne spoke with us regarding the different pathways of a diagnosis for the treatment of vertigo, along with of her progression . The Doc gave a thorough explanation and was showed patience in answering all our questions. She didn't rush or push her treatment, and I appreciated the clear explanations provided and treatment plan. After a day at home, we decided to bring her back Saturday since my dog refused to eat or drink water for approximately 24 hours, hence she was unable to take her meds. The waiting room was busy with other dogs and cats. We spoke with the staff and then consulted with Dr. Katie Bazewicz on her diagnosis and our options. We chose to admit her for the next 24 hours so my dog can get the proper amount of fluids via an I.V.; actually kept her admitted until Monday morning when our dog would be examined by the Vet Neurologist - Dr. Boaz Levitin. He provided a thorough exam and gave his diagnosis which gave us comfort with the current treatment plan and didn't just push us for an MRI, which isn't the best option due to my dog's age. We were extremely impressed with the level of care and attention we received. The entire medical team was professional, knowledgeable, and communicative; from the receptionist, med techs, nurses, doctors, and specialist. The staff were friendly and empathetic throughout our several visits. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The waiting room is large and nicely decorated for the holidays. They have a complimentary water, along with a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine to include a soda/snack vending machine. The price points for the services may be higher than your usual Vet bill, however you need to understand that this is a 24 hour ER service. It could be a little pricey, but my question is how important is your furry family member valued by you and your family in your home. Overall, I was very satisfied with the care provided and would highly recommend Eclipse ER Vet Hospital to others. The compassionate and professional service I experienced is a credit to the hospital and its entire staff.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my 4.5-year-old Cane Corso, Zeus, to EPVMC for care. For four consecutive days, the staff strung me along, assuring me he was improving and would be discharged "in a day or two." What they were actually doing was intentionally keeping him just long enough to completely exhaust my $7,200 CareCredit limit. On the exact day I arranged for him to be picked up, they called to tell me his stomach had ruptured. A doctor then cornered me with an impossible ultimatum: he needed an emergency surgery that they intentionally marked up to $15,000-$20,000, and they demanded the money in upfront cash. When I asked about financing, they gave me a "hard no." They completely withheld access to their own 501(c)(3) Compassion Fund--a charity publicly advertised for families in financial distress--specifically to force me into a cash ransom I could not pay. The most devastating part is that their own negligence caused the rupture. I acquired EPVMC's raw, internal Vet Radar medical logs. These documents prove that EPVMC diagnosed Zeus with suspect stomach ulcers via ultrasound on June 2nd. Despite this confirmed diagnosis, they withheld standard-of-care mucosal protectants (Sucralfate) for a full 48 hours. During those exact 48 hours, they aggressively pumped him with contraindicated, high-dose corticosteroids like DexamethasoneSP. They destroyed his stomach lining, caused the fatal perforation, and then demanded $20,000 to fix their own clinical error. To cover their tracks, their internal record-keeping is entirely fabricated. Their logs show nurses regularly failing to take critical life-support vitals (charting them as "UTO" - Unable to Obtain) while billing for Level 2 Critical Care. Their state-submitted clinical summaries show they officially recorded giving "0mg" of the life-saving medication he needed. But the absolute cruelest moment came at the very end. Because I could not produce their $20,000 cash ransom, I was forced to say goodbye to my best friend. While I was sobbing over his body, grieving the dog I had raised since rescuing him from a freezing camper at eight weeks old, Dr. Ferguson repeatedly interrupted us. She coldly rushed our final goodbyes four separate times, denying us even a few minutes of peace after they had just killed my dog and financially ruined me. He was my child, and this predatory corporation took him from me to line their pockets. They will financially ruin you, manipulate their own medical charts to cover up their fatal mistakes, and treat your family with absolute heartlessness. Protect your pets and go absolutely anywhere else.
