I have two long haired Ragdoll cats. The younger one hates to be brushed or combed and developed mats. Daniel recommended shaving her because it would be too painful to try to remove them. He was very gentle with her and wanted to make sure I was okay with the shaving process. This is the second time I have used Paw Zone Mobile with two different groomers, both were exceptional! Like any groomer or hair stylist, one has to describe what one wants. This last time, I made the mistake of saying "short as possible" but leave her hair on top of her head. It can't get any shorter! She likes it, I think she looks like a big Mexican hairless hahaha! **Beware** This place made an appointment for today at 8:15am. They no showed. When I contacted them, the owner text me a generic apology and said, "The system" didn't notify the groomer and that they would find another appointment for me. When I questioned that response, I got the same answer. Also, when I initially inquired about the services for my Lab, they sent a price quote picture that showed it woukd be $135.00When I went to book with the owner, he tried to say the service was $195.00. There are virtually no resources to have a pet cat groomed. Our cat had serious matting of its fur and fortunately I saw the truck while driving and called them. Fortunately they said they will take care of our cat. The truck arrived on time and Norma spent more than an hour with our cat in the van. She clearly took wonderful care of him. Super satisfied with the convenience and quality of our first groom with Daniel. Our standard was over 2 months overdue for a groom due to some unfortunate schedule changes and our normal groomer's last minute cancellation. Lots of the groomers around San Rafael aren't taking new midsized-large dogs or their schedules were booked out for weeks. I put a project request out using Yelp and Pawzone was first to respond with an opening in a week. On-boarding was very straightforward and price was reasonable. Communication with the company was easy by phone/text. Their van sat in my driveway plugged into my garage electrical outlet via extension cord and they were done in 1.5 hrs.
