Great selection of beers and some cool T-shirts too. It was a hot humid day and the fans helped. This place seems like it's out of the way but it really isn't. Nice selection of craft beers. Could promote some munchies that go well with beers. Will be back.

Had a great time at Pawley's Island Brewery yesterday. They were sponsoring a craft fair for the Holiday. Stopped into the brewery area and spoke with one of the employees. He suggested the Gray Man. It was delicious! Nice brewery and great people here.

Fabulous find for those of us who like craft beer and friendly people !! My first visit was this Saturday Spent most of the day on the rockers !! Love it. There are umbrella tables , picnic benches and plenty of rocking chairs to enjoy your visit !! And Dave the bartender is awesome and so friendly ! This is their first anniversary and I see many more years here for this quaint N Charleston brewery!!

I finally made it to Pawleys Island Brewing Company today, and I am glad I did! I tried a flight of four of their more refreshing/fruit-forward beers: Coquina Wheat Ale (pale American wheat ale) Juicy House Mango (IPA) Coquina Mango (fruity wheat) Bomb Island Berliner (Berliner weisse) All four were excellent, but the Bomb Island Berliner was my favorite. We also had a pretzel with spicy beer cheese; it was quite tasty. They have plenty of parking in a large lot, and the brewery is dog friendly. I'd love to come back on a day where they have a food truck.

Pawley's Island brewery is great addition to Charleston's growing craft brewing scene. Recently opened, and located in North Charleston, we stopped by one lazy Sunday afternoon and checked them out. Located like most breweries in a warehouse type location, they have ample parking and the open feel with covered patio is nice. There are some picnic tables very close to sit in the sun. The beer menu had 9 beers that should please all with lagers, pilsners, IPAs and more. Be sure to ask for samples, as I tried the Bashale (red imperial ale) and found it just too hoppy for me. But Big Sandy lager & Pawleys Pale ale had the staple crisp beer and flavor that was enjoyable. We limited to just one beer this time, but really like the set up and will return. Welcome Pawley's Island brewing!

A little hard to find but that gives this brewery an "in the know" vibe once you arrive - a little like a speakeasy. It's in an industrial area (heck - it's located on Industrial Ave!), with garage type doors that open, exposing the taproom and brewery. We ordered two flights which included each beer on tap (8 I think). Here's the skinny - the beers were all very good. My table of old (and I mean old) beer drinkers were impressed that each brew was so tasty, especially for a new brewery. I liked the IPA and my wife liked the pineapple and grapefruit brews - neither of which was sweet. She enjoyed how "flavorful and fresh" they both tasted. The vibe was very laid back, and the price was a winner for us at $5 a pint. It's dog friendly - there's a ton of parking but there's no food yet (ownership says it's in the works). The only recommendation I'll make is improving the music selection. They need to find some tunes that match the coolness of the place (no Journey). Overall - it's a winner and we wish them much success! Looking forward to returning soon!

For my first time I wasn't overly impressed. The beer wasn't as cold as it should be, we were the only people here and the staff didn't talk to us except to get our drinks. I'd like to try this place again on a different day in hopes this was just a one time thing.

Been trying to get here since they opened as I'd heard good things about them. Stopped by on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy which suited us fine as we like to talk to the barkeeps at the breweries we visit. The gentleman that was on duty that day was engaging and knowledgeable about their beers and the flight of IPAs I had were excellent. Will definitely be back to visit soon. They have a couple of TVs in the bar area so you can catch whatever sport/game is on.

This place has a great relaxed atmosphere and they are always trying new things with beer. The brewer and owner are in a lot of the time, so it's fun to catch them and see what this place is all about. Update: they always have a lot of beer on, normally between 9-12, all very well made and distinct from one another. Everyone can find something to like here.

First time here and wasnt overly impressed. Beer wasnt as cold as it should be. The staff wasn't talkative except to take the drink order. I hope this was just an off day and next time I go back it'll be better.

Awesome beer and staff!! Super friendly!! David and Frazier were spectacular! They were very informative on the surrounding area and other breweries. Will definitely return to this great watering hole!

    Good beer and good vibe

Beer was great, friendly staff and dogs allowed inside which is always a plus. Small-ish but great gathering spot for good beer and company!

Loved the stout. Another brewery to add to Charleston's brewery repertoire. Near Holy City and Freehouse. Make sure you don't miss it.

You can order from inside or at the outdoor station, which makes things convenient. The indoor space features a big bar, TVs, arcade games, and even a small gift shop--lots to keep everyone entertained. Our food came out very quickly, but unfortunately that seemed to be because it was pre-cooked. The fries were lukewarm, and most of the items lacked that fresh, hot taste (the boiled peanuts were a delicious exception--super hot and spot-on). Overall, this is a great casual, family-friendly environment for hanging out and enjoying the vibe. Just don't go expecting gourmet food, and you'll have a solid time. Recommended for the atmosphere and drinks more than the meal.

The outdoor area is huge and inviting, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We especially loved sinking into the comfortable rocking chairs, the perfect place to kick back with a drink in hand. The overhangs and fans kept everything cool and breezy, which made hanging outside even more enjoyable on a warm day. One of our favorite features was the outdoor ordering window. It's so convenient, especially if you're visiting with your pup--you never have to leave them behind just to grab another round. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe with great music setting the tone. While we didn't sample the food this time, it was definitely tempting, and it's nice to know it's available if you want to make an afternoon of it. Drink-wise, Commonhouse nails it. While beer is their specialty (and they have a solid selection), they also offer a frozen drink and a few seltzers for those who prefer something a little different. And for the pups? They've thought of that too, with outdoor water stations so your dog can stay refreshed right alongside you. All in all, it's a truly pet-friendly spot with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer.
