Don't let the bright colors discourage you... These are the best sours in Charleston! They always have a good rotation of new flavors.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun place hidden like a gem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They really are the king of sours. So many options (a few not sour) but all of them delish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You could even have a party here. Love they have a pool table, TV, couches or tables, plus a few video games.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Has a home basement feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were happy the snafu food truck was there. Love their fries and our Philly friends gave the Philly cheesesteak a thumbs up! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great relaxing vibes and friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although it's a bit out of the way, a great place to spend a few hours with friends or family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really love the atmosphere of this place! It's a cozy hang out with some friends or your significant other during your day or late night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sour beers were so so good! I absolutely love the peach gummy and it will be a favorite. They also have a food truck with finger foods! We got cheese fries and it was season well. All service was done with a smile and everyone was friendly. Love the retro games !

Snafu Brewing is a great little brewery tucked into N. Charleston. They have a rotating beer selection every month so there is always something new to try. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a flight to give yourself several different options. The staff is always super friendly and will help you when making your selection. They host several events throughout the week that are well worth the visit. There are also plenty of food trucks that visit.

You know a place is good when you don't like sour beers but you like them here. 12+ sours on tap and they all sound delicious. I had the Something Something Pils and the Garnet and Black Cherry Sour. Delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot to hang out, watch football and enjoy the beautiful low country weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is really cool place to hang out with friends![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have such interesting brews and the concept that is comfortable. The staff is very nice and will help you select the right drinks for your taste pallet. I tried as many as I could handle and had an amazing cheesesteak that I was not expecting from a brewery. Matter of fact... Im actually thinking about that cheesesteak now... I may be back sooner than I originally expected. Please take gander at my photos

I finally got around to trying one of the many unique creations of Snafu!!! My boyfriend surprised me with the limited edition butterbeer flavor and it was mega unique! He got some other ones like cotton candy which I'm curious to try! Made for a nice surprise for the first day term starting at Hogwarts. Cheers to the beloved -ber months!

As a lover of sour beer and discovering how close Snafu is to my house, I'll be checking in a lot more often. Known for their large sour list (usually 12-16 on tap at a time) they do also offer up 6-7 non-sours. I've gotten a flight both visits and enjoyed each and every sour beer I've tried. The Blueberry crumble and Teal Cotton Candy have become my two favorites. The price of the flight is around $15 so after tip it's cost $20 a visit. And very much worth it!!! Located in an Industrial area of North Charleston the old car shop now brewery is spacious inside and has picnic tables set up outside for additional seating. During both my visits they've had food trucks for food to enjoy there or take with you to-go. Each time I've been there only one bartender has been on duty and they've always been super nice. Knowledgeable about the beer and great music playing. If you find yourself in the area during the late afternoon (be sure to check their daily hours) drop in for a chill brewery experience.

One of my all time favorite breweries in the low country. If you are a fan of sours this is the place for you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cool space and the staff are very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have their own food truck and sometimes rotate other food trucks. Overall would definitely recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The beer is amazing and the atmosphere is really chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One of the few places that specializes in sour beer. The bartender was really nice and very professional when she was forced to deal with an extremely rude customer. Love the beer and the flavors here and love to come here to relax and have some amazing beers.

We visited on Easter in the afternoon, as you can see from the photos it was a very quiet day for the brewery. The bartender was very kind and helpful as this was my first time trying their brews. I really enjoyed the selection of sours they had to offer and opted for a flight. All 4 were really fantastic! My favorite was definitely the fluffermelon, it was perfectly tart with a great vanilla tone! The bubblegum was also super interesting and tasted exactly like Hubba Bubba! The brewery has lots of board games to choose from and a couple arcade games. We played jenga while we sipped. It was a little chilly on the day we visited but they do have heaters. Prices are very reasonable, definitely a great place to check out if you love sours or more unique beers!

This place was so chill and quiet and relaxing. Lots of sours which are my personal favorite types of beers. There's foosball tables and table tennis tables. Theres also I'm assuming, the owners dog or an employees dog. Super friendly but he started to get annoying. He kept coming over to my dog and would hump him. After the third time my dog got fed up and irritated. Which is understandable. Didn't seem like anyone who worked there was keeping an eye on him. Although there was another dog but the brewery dog wouldn't bother him. So maybe it's just my dog he had a lot of interest in. Definitely coming back but either without my dog or just make sure the brewery dog doesn't get close. Overall, chill place for a low key hang out.

A great hole in the wall brewery in North Charleston! My husband and I like to come here for an easy drinking beer and a chill date night. It's in a warehouse with some outdoor seating, so be sure to check the weather before staying a while! They do not have a kitchen or snacks, but feel free to bring your own- or they are very good with having food trucks in the evenings as well. They are known for their sours and always have a ton of options so if that's up your alley, then this place is for you! They usually have great pale ale/IPA options as well if you aren't a sour fan. The service is great and they sometimes throw in a bingo or trivia night which is always super fun too! They have some great games, ping pong tables, and a tv and is also dog and kid friendly.

    Pet friendly!

You can order from inside or at the outdoor station, which makes things convenient. The indoor space features a big bar, TVs, arcade games, and even a small gift shop--lots to keep everyone entertained. Our food came out very quickly, but unfortunately that seemed to be because it was pre-cooked. The fries were lukewarm, and most of the items lacked that fresh, hot taste (the boiled peanuts were a delicious exception--super hot and spot-on). Overall, this is a great casual, family-friendly environment for hanging out and enjoying the vibe. Just don't go expecting gourmet food, and you'll have a solid time. Recommended for the atmosphere and drinks more than the meal.

My husband and I sat at the bar inside. The beer I got was just okay and certainly not memorable. Then we ordered peel & eat shrimp and wings to share. I hate to say this but both were just terrible; shrimp were very hard to peel and wings were dry/flavorless. We barely ate any which is very unlike us! I will not likely come back and can't say I would recommend coming here, especially with all of the other (better) breweries in the area! :(

The outdoor area is huge and inviting, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We especially loved sinking into the comfortable rocking chairs, the perfect place to kick back with a drink in hand. The overhangs and fans kept everything cool and breezy, which made hanging outside even more enjoyable on a warm day. One of our favorite features was the outdoor ordering window. It's so convenient, especially if you're visiting with your pup--you never have to leave them behind just to grab another round. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe with great music setting the tone. While we didn't sample the food this time, it was definitely tempting, and it's nice to know it's available if you want to make an afternoon of it. Drink-wise, Commonhouse nails it. While beer is their specialty (and they have a solid selection), they also offer a frozen drink and a few seltzers for those who prefer something a little different. And for the pups? They've thought of that too, with outdoor water stations so your dog can stay refreshed right alongside you. All in all, it's a truly pet-friendly spot with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer.
