First, the associate was unable to properly locate the silver hallmarks on my necklace, incorrectly claiming it was fake until I had to physically point out the stamp myself. This was dismissed with a laugh, which immediately raised red flags about their staff training. The situation worsened when I presented a beautiful, vintage Victorian-style sterling silver ladle. Despite clear sterling markings, the associate again claimed the item was counterfeit. Furthermore, the staff demonstrated a concerning lack of accuracy regarding basic measurements; two different employees provided conflicting weights in grams after keeping the item out of my sight for a period of time. Frustrated by the incompetence, I took the ladle to an independent buyer and antique collector who immediately verified its authenticity and purchased it for $215--proving it held significant value well beyond its mere scrap weight. Pawn America completely misjudged high-quality, authentic precious metals and antiques. Actually, I didn't end up exchanging anything, but the customer service was excellent! I went to trade in an essentially brand new, unused two year old or so acoustic guitar. Like multiple occasions in my life, I had grand plans of learning this instrument. Then, not so much. ADHD is strong! The guy who helped me was very efficient and helpful. Recommended that I go to a music store and see if I could get a better deal. I did! Highly recommend taking this random drive out to sell items you are not using or have never used. Worst customer service experience ever! The "tough guy" middle aged manager with the closely cropped blonde hair was immensely disrespectful, condescending, and obnoxiously smug. I complained because the parking lot's handicapped spots were taken by non handicapped people without state handicap tags. Apparently my being in a wheelchair was simply too inconvenient for Mr manager. He has made it perfectly clear that he doesn't have time or patience for disabled people. I received an email from here that they were looking for bicycles so I took some pictures of my old Trek 800 mountain bike & they quoted me $90-$100 for it. Great! Im a 100% disabled veteran on a fixed income & needed it. So, I borrowed my ex wifes SUV to haul it up there only for them to rudely decline it! This wasted my last $5 I had for food for the weekend having to drive up there. I had a PTSD moment & pretty much left the damn bike there. I wasn't even out of the parking lot & the manager was outside looking at it & then wheels it inside!! This after they told me they don't want it. Ridiculous! So, if you see a Gold Trek 800 mountain bike for sale here, they got it for free & initially refused it, so don't pay full price. As for Pawn America. I had online quotes from 2 pawn America locations - West Allis and North 76th. They both were comparable, but I chose to go to the West Allis location since it was a half hour away from my house vs. 50 minutes. My item (pneumatic reversable drill) is in perfect condition, as described in my online submissions and pictures. The store staff agreed. However, at the store they tried to offer me about half of what was quoted online. The stores "coach" stated that it takes them a long time to sell pneumatic tools. I wasted an entire Saturday morning and $15 in gas because they chose to be deceiving. I will be telling everyone I know to stick with selling items on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay and to avoid these idiots. read more

Went in there to pawn a Xbox that me and my fiancé never used. Kaleb offered me 220 for it. I purchased it retail 500 and they said they are going to sell it for 400. Insult number one, then put it on the desk and said that's my best offer so if you don't want to to sell it you can take it. Then I asked about how much he would give me for the iMac and he said he would give me $300 for it. Mind you we paid 2k for it at Costco a year ago. Kaleb was extremely rude and talking over me. Do not take laptops here. I was hoping get a $400 loan so I took a laptop there that was only a few months old and was customized on the manufacturers website. They seemed to lookup the model number with the base specs. The model number doesn't change when you add/upgrade components. The laptop was around $1800 new but I was offered $200 for it and was told one just sold for $400 recently(I wish). I had no choice but to post it on ebay starting at $500 and the bids ended $878 and all I wanted to get was $400. I was also informed at the end they have a bunch of laptops that aren't selling but just may go to show they lack knowledge in this area badly. read more

An older model camera was close to $600 while another was four models newer and cost half. Three camera lens (all same) were three different prices. We left without buying anything. I was on hold for 12 minutes before the phone cuts off. #1 To the person who answers the phone. I think you can walk over to a case to tell me if it exists. #2 Don't have options on a phone if those options don't really work. #3 You should train personal to be able to answer simple questions. I appreciate having time to discuss a purchase (particularly an expensive one) and think it through before I ask to have a case opened. Running an online business, my girlfriend and I shop here daily for items. I love this place. The employees are hands on and help you with any and all questions you may have. When they are with you, they focus on you until you are ready to check out. The store itself isn't the biggest, but if you look hard enough, they have a lot to offer. Many of their items are 50-70% cheaper than retail. Many of the customers here cause problems. They are not patient and just don't have any respect for themselves let alone others. If you can get around and ignore some of the annoying customers this place is great for finding great deals! read more
