Very disappointed in the stores return policy. I bought a necklace on Saturday and decided it was not for me by the next day. They are closed Sunday and Monday So I came back in Tuesday to return it. While trying to return it, they pointed out on the back of the receipt that all sales are final in faint lettering and that I can exchange it. Found this Jewelry Center on the internet. I was trying to get repairs done to an Invicta watch locally, in texas, and could not find a local jeweler that could repair it. It seemed to me a minor repair, replacing an old watch band but the local Jewelers were unable to remove it. I mailed it into the Jewelry Center, at their cost, and they were able to replace the band quickly and economically. I highly recommend the Jewelry Center for any kind of repairs. read more

Will never return to this store and suggest you stay away as well. I left my engagement ring with them for several weeks (long working time!) to bend a prong back on the main stone and to replace a small pave diamond on the band. When I picked it up, the cost was more than I was quoted and they didn't even bend the prong back to secure the main stone! This is the place to go for all your jewelry and watch repairs. Most watch batteries are only around $4.99. I recently got a watch battery at batteries plus and it was about $14.00 and they try to upsell to the lifetime warranty, but who keeps all those receipts. Today I had my watchband repaired. They could have easily sold me a whole new band, but all that was missing was a spring rod which he fixed for next to nothing. He took my watch in the back and while I waited, two other employees made sure I was being helped I was in and out in 10 minutes. read more

Went in to sell some 10oz Silver Bars. 1st tell sign is he wanted to cut the silver out of the plastic. (Shows they probably don't have a Sigma) Before he cut them he told me he'd only be able to offer me 90% of spot. How does a company work margins under spot?? There's a premium to buy back at any other place i've been and have never been offered below spot of the value on the medal. Makes no sense, They'll put a premium on an item that was bought below spot. I'd suggest not buying from this place as you know they bought the medal or stone was bought well below market & they'll add a hefty premium when selling items. I'd also recommend Derzion Coins or just about any other shop when selling your gold/silver. read more

Do not ever send your watch to be repaired or service by these thieves. I send my Seiko Dive watch to them to be serviced. All they did was swap my movement for a newer movement. The heart of any watch is the movement and they stole mine and put a newer one in it. I wanted my watch serviced and they didn't. I bought my watch in 2005 for my trip to Iraq while I was in the Army and it had great sentimental value and now I don't have MY watch. It is only the case. You are thieves and liars. If I could give zero, I would. Simply the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I brought 6 watches into The Jewelry Center (Greenfield) for battery replacements because their website advertised that they service Invicta watch batteries. Four of the six watches were Invicta brand. I was dealing with the owner and the battery replacements were done within a day. A few days after I brought them home, I noticed one of the watch second hands wasn't moving and there was some handwriting on the tag that stated "autom". I called the store and spoke to a woman who was very rude to me and told me to google what autom means. Apparently it means that the watch doesn't operate on a battery. I asked her why I was charged a battery replacement for a watch that doesn't require a battery, and she said that I was helped by the owner and since he deals with diamonds and jewelry, that he couldn't have made a mistake. I was going to have to bring all the watches back in order to clear this up. I did so, and when I started to describe the situation, the owner, Dean, interrupted me and told me to "get to the point". I told him that I was charged for four Invicta battery replacements and only received three. He picked up a different watch and said that one was the automatic. That wasn't even the watch I was questioning, so it turns out I was charged for two replacements that were not done. He then stated that "he was just helping me out, and didn't have to change those batteries". I remind you, this wasn't a favor. It was an agreed upon exchange of goods and services for money. No apology, just refunded my money for the two battery replacements that were never done. Buyer beware! read more

The firefighter called the jewelry center and they told us to come in and they would try. Only took 3 mins and A LOT of strength (the ring turns out to be steel and very thick) the owner gots it off!! everyone there was SO very nice. I would definitely come back for my real jewelry needs. While there, I had them adjust the length of the expansion band for my wrist watch, which they took care of in short order - in less than 5 minutes. Their charge was an exorbitant $21.00, an overcharge at the rate of more than $250.00 an hour! I'm giving 2 stars for the convenience of walking in without an appointment. But I was disappointed with the interaction. I brought in several old pieces of silver and gold as well as a 1+ ct diamond engagement ring/band. The buyer, Jake, was condescending toward me from the beginning. I knew that my pieces wouldn't be valued at the purchase price, many of them were broken and pretty old... but he kept talking to me as if I was expecting to get the retail price for everything. I expressed a few times that I get it - I understand how buying old jewelry works - but he kept talking to me as if I needed to lower my expectations for the offer. I didn't express any expectations - I was there to listen to what they had to offer me. I didn't know the going rate for gold/silver/platinum but that's why I came in. He told me - 'definitely come back with the appraisal paperwork - we can give you a better estimate then.' He was estimating my center diamond almost 0.5ct smaller than it is. When I was leaving and said I'll be back with the paperwork, he told me, 'honestly, it probably won't make a difference.' That comment lost the sale, Jake. I'd even take a lower offer from someone if they just spoke to me with more respect. read more

I sent my Pulsar watch in for a replacement of the crystal and to install a missing 9 o'clock marker on the watch face. I received it back with the crystal replaced a receipt for $90.00, but the marker still missing, and no mention of the marker. I contacted them and they told me that there was a miscommunication and to return the watch and they would see if they could order a marker. I wrote back and asked them to first check and see if the part was available before I ship it back. To date, they have not responded although I have e-mailed them several times. This was a nice looking watch, but now I do not wear it. Unhappy customer. read more

About the only good thing was the price. I guess you get what you pay for, but i would have rather paid a little more and had it done right! Took my G-shock in to get the battery replaced. I figure, it's a jewelery store and this is pretty simple stuff, no problem right? WRONG. I get the watch back and at first everything seems fine. It's running again and lights up and all is well. I get home and take it off and notice it makes a funny noise. I look and the back plate is about half screwed on and the gasket underneath is BROKEN and hanging out! I get my screwdriver set out to take the back plate off, and even worse, the secondary gasket underneath looks like it was pretty much just jammed in instead of placed properly. I'll fix it myself this time, thanks. Not going back other than to demand a refund. Also, the woman behind the counter was far from friendly. I walk in and say "hello how are you?" Her reply "good." that's it. waited for me to cut to the chase i guess. Should have been a warning sign for how shitty the service would be. Stay away, don't get anything repaired here. I was lucky enough to have taken in a relatively inexpensive watch. I can't imagine if they had done this to one of my nice watches. read more

paid $230.00 for an overhaul for watch with an sw200 movement that was a gift from my mother before she passed away, so this was where the value of it was to me. within a month it started acting up and i emailed them twice about sending it back since it had a one year warranty and got no reply. i ended up sending it back to them anyway. after a few weeks i got a package in the mail thinking it was my repaired watch and they sent me a totally different watch without even contacting me about any problems. i emailed them and got some story about old parts and reservicing after i paid for the overhaul. they took it upon themselves to disregard that i wanted the original watch back that meant something to me. now the watch is gone. this is my second bad experience with mail in jewelry store watch repair. stick with some sort of watchmaker repair. read more

They advertise they buy old jewelry. I tried selling a Effy necklace. I have the certificate of authenticity. To be told it's worth only 4$. Yet in the stores the original price was 600$. I have the receipt showing 600$. But price paid was half because it was on sale. The necklace was a gift. I don't wear it. I thought about selling it and getting something I like better. Then a gold cross/ruby pendant. Was told is only worth 5$ to them. Yet it's 14k gold and genuine rubies. Not the lab created kind. read more

Stopped by for battery replacements in 2 older watches. They were taken in back, but not sure what was done, because the person came out saying they tried replacing the batteries and the watches didn't work. Interestingly, we went home, replaced the battery ourself in one of them and it did work after following YouTube instructions. If you're not interested in customer service because a) it's too close to quitting time or b) it's not worth your time/effort or c) you don't know how to "jump start" the new battery (required on this make of watch), then just be up front. Don't lie to a customer and say the watch doesn't work when you didn't even take the back off. Sad. read more

I take in two gold watches, they give it a cursory look over, and don't HAND THEM BACK to me, but literally TOSS IT BACK about a foot off that black mat they use to display rings against on the counter "No thanks" he says. I go to Paul's Jewelers same day & jeweler actually takes time & weighs the gold content, and buys both immediately after. I guess they don't like selling high-end items or care to value it properly. Maybe they should hire qualified jewelers. And it's not "jew-ree" Dean Murray, like going to a "jury" trial, it's "jewel-ree", like jewels. read more

I took my engagement ring in to be resized as the vendor of the ring had suggested the Jewelry Center to my fiancee. I ended up with a less valuable ring with a split in the band. Firstly, it took them nearly two weeks to resize it, and when I called the morning of the expected pick up date to see if I could pick it up around noon, they still had not begun on my ring and I was told it would not be ready until the end of the day. When I came to pick it up, I was not given the section of the ring removed to resize it and was charged the full amount, so no "trade in" was offered for the metal removed. The band, which was thin to begin with, was even thinner and I could tell where it had been soldered, despite being told by the man helping us that "when soldered properly, you shouldn't be able to tell where it was cut". About a month later, I was sitting at my desk and suddenly felt a sharp edge to the ring, which had split apart where it had been soldered. When I took the ring back in requesting a refund for the poor quality work, I was told that I should have had a new shank put on the ring because the band was too thin, and it would likely crack again. This was never recommended to me in the first place. The man offered to give me a discount towards a new shank but would not refund my money for the poor quality job resizing the ring. I did not want them to do the work after the first bad experience so I refused and again requested a refund to which I was told "No, sorry I can't help you". read more
