This is Ziggy, he's 2. He's been going to paw and claws dog grooming for a year and a half now. He goes In looking like a street dog and comes out looking like a million bucks. She always takes her time with him, never rushes! He gets a bath, haircut, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and cleans his glands! LIKE WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR!! Paws and Claws is absolutely amazing! Des is the most caring groomer I've ever met. She literally saved my Frenchie girl Molly's paws and treated her with so much love. Molly usually hates baths and can be defensive, but Des was so patient, gentle, and made her feel safe and calm the whole time. You can tell she truly cares about every dog she works with. I have lived in OXNARD Shores for five years and I'm glad I finally found somebody like Desiree. Her shop is clean, parking is simple and the service is great. I took my golden retriever in at 9:45 this morning and picked him up at noon. Duke had a bath, a haircut, his nails trimmed, his ears cleaned, his glands expressed and his teeth brushed. What am I to say, I have been bringing my pups to Des for 6+ years or so and Des is the BEST!!! She is so patient and wonderful to my Enzo(aka her Travieso) and Miss Eleanor, the dead weight dog that gives Des an arm workout when she decides to nap/be lazy during a grooming. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I had such a hard time finding a groomer willing to work with my senior Yorkie, but she didn't hesitate. She handles him with so much kindness and patience. And he always comes out looking great. She also grooms my doodle and she always does an incredible job. I love Des and so do my dogs. I have been going to her for years. I used to take my tiny rat terrier to her. She was very shy and nervous but comfortable with Des. My current dogs see her quite frequently. I have two bulldogs and a Pomeranian. The bulldogs especially get excited to go to their grooming appointments. Great place, took my dogs to her on short notice. One of them was my Cane Corso and my Pitt mix who many groomers will refuse due to fear of the breeds. She was very friendly and accepted and did a great job, even updated me with pictures. Highly recommended. They smell great! read more
