Just took my Shih Tzu to Paws for a grooming. He went in looking like Gabby Hayes and when Nikki finished with him he looked like Brad Pitt! He's not normally fond of groomers and is usually a surly drama queen when he leaves, but Nikki had the magic touch with him - Duke seemed to have a smile when we left. I could tell he enjoyed the experience. The service was timely and reliable; the haircut was finished when promised. From a customer service perspective, I highly recommend Paws to any pet owner who is looking for a loving, trustworthy, and economical pet grooming establishment. ps. My two Malteses literally have never been happier with another groomer! And that makes us happy! Nikki spent some time with us going over details about how we wanted their hair cut, skin conditions and allergies so she would know which shampoos to use, etc. She did a great job on the cuts, even though they were both squirmy. She cleaned their ears and clipped their nails. When we picked them up she spent a few minutes talking to us about how they did this visit. The salon is bright, very clean and simple with lots of space and feels very professional. We are definitely going back for more frequent visits. read more

We have visited Paws a few times and utilized the self wash services. Nikki, the owner, clearly demonstrates a bias against large dogs. She continuously offers criticism about how we, as the owners of the dog, bathe our larger dog and demonstrates a "know it all attitude" when it comes to dog grooming. Numerous times we have been there, we have overheard her talk rudely about clients after they drop their dogs off. She portrays her self as being very sweet but in reality is very condescending and rude. During our last visit, she walked a dog very close to the tub in which we were washing our dog. Our dog barked and Nikki immediately shoved a bigger leash lead in our face and walked away. 3 days later we received a phone call stating one customer complained against us and we were not invited back (she reports numerous other complaints about us but never approached us regarding any of these so-called complaints). In addition, the equipment is shoddy. The water fluctuates constantly in temperature between hot and cold and you constantly hear Nikki, the owner, complaining about it. Also, the last time we were there, my dog injured herself walking down the shoddy and poorly constructed stairs exiting the tub. Rather than ask how my dog was, Nikki yelled out "tub 1 out of commission" multiple times, ensuring all customers could hear her. My dog has had an injured paw since and we are considering taking her to the vet now. Pet lovers please be sure to proceed with caution! Nikki's assistant is a sweetheart and our dog truly loved getting to see her each time we went. read more

Nikki is the greatest. She is friendly and helpful. I only use the self service dog wash but I can see her when she is grooming other dogs and the dogs seam to love her. I took my german shepherd here today to use the self serve. The place was so clean and the staff was super helpful and very friendly. The price was great and the equipment was top notch. I unexpectedly got a big, beautiful (but smelly and hairy) boy doggy. He really needed bathing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, the works. I called everyone in the area and nobody could fit us in. I tried Nikki at Paws Grooming and even though she really had no time, she fit us in -- and performed a miracle. she gave us back such a clean, happy, beautifully trimmed pup. She treated him so well and had excellent tips and really solid dog knowledge and advice for me. I have taken 3 "challenging" dogs to Nikki (two fraidy-cat dogs and one nipper) over the past two years. She knows how to deal with the challenges in a kind and efficient way and she also lets me know about issues she finds (sensitive back paw, etc.) so that I can keep an eye on things. She's even called me after-hours to check up on my pup. I would NEVER go anywhere else! read more

Love the place, the owner is so nice and I love talking to her while I'm bathing my dog and she's working with another. Prices are also amazing you can't beat her prices. Nikki is absolutely fabulous with my Molly. She is a small dog and can be nervous around strangers. Last time we took her to Nikki's new place, she almost pulled my arm out of the socket trying to get inside. My husband and I just visited this salon today for a self service wash for our Blue heeler, Kona, whom is so afraid of "water" It was a rough start at first and Nikki was cooperative in getting him to settle down some what but it took a lot of coaxing and calm talking to him to get him to relax. He would howl and whine. Eventually, he began to relax and we were able to get him rinsed and dried off. Nikki is so friendly and such a helpful person. The cost for a self washing is reasonable. She supplies the soap, towels etc.. Everything is within a hands reach and the tubs are roomy. We feel that continued visits will get him to adjust and of course we feel that a low dosage sedative would be of great help too! . We will definitely bring our dog back. I normally don't take the time to write a review, especially a good one..ha. However, after going to Paws pet grooming shop I felt compelled. This is one business where you can really tell that the owner cares about doing quality work, cares about the customer and the client (the pets). The shop has a simple, understated and clean design. I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep a pet grooming shop so clean. The owner, Nikki, took care of my dogs (Randolph & Mortimer) like they were her own, this was evident by the way they walked into the shop voluntarily the second time we went there! They actually looked excited to go! The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Paws. Fives stars might seem a bit much but it's the best grooming shop I've been to, and I've tried plenty. read more

I love Nikki, I love her shop....but, most importantly, my dogs love her! I've been bringing my cocker spaniel to her for several years and he always comes home looking and smelling great. He loves Nikki so much, he makes himself right at home when we go in the shop, heading to the dog bed to lounge close by her until it's his turn for grooming. Recently I brought my Chihuahuas and my boston terrier mix in. One Chihuahua absolutely hates getting his nails trimmed, but she did a fabulous job and he was not traumatized in the least. The boston terrier was a little hesitant when we first got there because she had never been to a groomer. But Nikki came out and reassured her, got a little kiss on the nose, and all seemed fine.
