Parisa is a very loving, nurturing care taker. I've left my dog Charlie in her care several times in fact I've left the country for two weeks at a time and I completely trusted Charlie in her home. I've since adopted a second pup who've I've also brought to Paw's Penthouse and she has loved both my dogs as if they were her own. She does have some helpers who don't speak very good English but I always call in advance before coming to pick up my dog, so I've never had an issue with language barriers or receiving my pups back. My pups shiver when going to the vets or groomers but they get very excited when we pull up to Paw's penthouse! They know they're in for a good time! I do know they have options for grooming and overnight visits all for an extra fee. Overall, price is very fair, the people there are warm, friendly, and inviting, and I can TELL they love my dogs as much as my dogs love them. I just love the option of a "home environment" over Petsmart boarding. Petsmart leaves them alone in a small area, and you have to pay EXTRA to have someone play with your dog for only an hour a day! They deserve only 5 star reviews... I have recommended Paws Penthouse to family and friends and I look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

I am a fan of the Paws Penthouse. My story and situation was quick and the paws penthouse accommodated me with haste, which was a life saver. I placed my two 9 month old kittens with Paris and they quickly respected the new habitat and have stayed fit playing with the other animal tenants (Radicchio my cat used to be chubby!) I have visited a few times in the 3 months and I can only see love in their eyes and understanding of this phase. That being said, my two cats are being respected which is a gift knowing I am at a distance from them. I am a very protective dog mother, thus I am always extremely cautious and picky when it comes to who I will leave my dog with (either for doggy day care or grooming.) I needed doggy hotel services and Paws Penthouse came highly recommended to me by a friend. Not only did they take excellent care of my darling little Larry (a Maltipoo), they also took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all my questions. Both Larry and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I have since chosen to use their services whenever I need to travel out of town. My dog is a little shy, but Parisa takes extra time to gently socialize him with the other guests and make him comfortable. I am very thankful for her gentle treatment and patience with Larry. I have boarded my two little rescue dogs with this company. I love the fact that it's an actual home. And they actually came back fatter than when I left them. Which made me happy!! Since they were rescue dogs and we're very underweight. I left them my food they fed them with it. My two dogs came back very happy. I will use their service again. :) read more

DO NOT take your cat here!!!!! Website is such a sham. I was so surprised to find a house when I pulled up. I definitely should have done more research, and wish I would have read these reviews prior. All of the cats are kept in one small room together the entire time. That one room also REEKS of CAT URINE. My poor cat had never been around other cats before, so she was hissing when she was first taken in. I called to check in the next day, and got a "great, no problem" and other short answers. I am certain she didn't know which cat was mine. The woman wasn't even there when I arrived to pick up my cat. She smelled SO, SO terribly of urine that I had to keep the car windows down on the way home. I had to pay to have her bathed immediately, and she was covered in flea poop. She is an indoor cat who has never had fleas, so I'm pretty clear on where they came from. Worst part is, I politely emailed my complaint requesting a refund for the grooming service, and received no response. My check was cashed two days later. I tried to call today, and both phone numbers appear to have been disconnected. SHAM of a PET HOTEL. DO NOT TRUST IT. read more

In summary: Would never take my dog here again. After 2 days of staying at Paws Penthouse Pet Hotel, the puppy came out smelling like he was pulled out of a garbage dumpster. I had taken him to a top pet grooming service just a few days prior. From what I found out they have the pets run wild in the house, and the caretaker actually lives in a separate guest house which is located behind this house. For $100 spent (for which they did not even provide a receipt) for 2 days of stay, I would say this is the worst service we've received for our dog ever. My brother found this place on Google as he needed to drop our puppy off at a local pet hotel for 2 days over the Thanksgiving weekend. When I called to follow up on the pickup time, the lady (owner) seemed friendly and courteous. I had looked this place up on Yelp and someone mentioned that you could monitor your pets remotely. When I asked her about such video streaming service, she responded that she lives with the pets, and due to privacy issues associated with her primary residence, she could not have any cameras installed. While she advertised the place to be a pet loving residence (her own), the reality is that she lives in the house next to the one where the pets are held in. When I came to pick up my puppy, it took the caretaker (and not the owner) about 15 - 20 mins to come out. After 2 failed attempts to locate my dog, he finally brought him out. The dog appeared scared and intimidated. The worst of it was the horrible odor, immediately noticeable, particularly after the dog had been taken care of by a groomer earlier that week. I am sensitive about my Carolina Dog just like any other dog owner is. I left my dog here for a few weeks when I went out to Japan and when I came back he was in the same condition as I left him. I think some people are just over sensitive with their dogs, my dog is a big guy and loves to play and when I got him back he was just as happy but exhausted from all the play, he also was in the dog pool a lot. I really don't have any complaints here, and the rates were great, he'll be coming back in a few weeks when I leave out of the country again. read more

I would NEVER go back, they first tell you that they LOVE animals and that they will be at home and next day when you pick the up there back you dont even know where they sleep in the back or outdoor, there was a guy there and he mentioned that they had her in the garage, our dog is in indoor complete (puppy 9 months well train) and not only that I ask her if my puppy was going to be with bigger dogs and she said no these are the dogs that I have today 3 pounds dogs and then I come and pick her up and she has fleas and smelling terrible.... and ask her for special treat do to my puppy just had surgery and came back and found her with irritation on her eyes... We took our dog Ricky here because I liked the idea that he would be in a house setting like our house. This is a cage free facility! The dogs are free roaming and play with eachother all day and go to sleep indoors at night. There is always someone with the dogs (including sleeping with them at night ). The yard area has recently been renovated with multiple new fences and gates. Absolutely wonderful. DO NOT take your pets here. I was impressed with the paws penthouse website and decided to give it a chance. After visiting, it was clear that the owner probably paid someone to create a misleading website. It was advertised that the grounds were cage-free, home-like, big yard, etc. I came by unannounced and asked for a tour and saw the exact opposite. Eight or nine little dogs were literally locked into a small storage shed in the back. The shed had the remains of furniture in it with rusty springs and stuffing exposed as well as fecal and urine stains. The dogs looked ragged, dirty, and overheated. It was clear that the dogs don't actually spend any time inside. I asked to see the "big yard" and some excuse was given but I never saw the yard. Furthermore, no vaccination records or ANY background info was required to bring my dog. That is concerning to say the least. My dog is a typical lab...happy/friendly/loves everyone. This was the first time I have ever seen him asking to LEAVE a place with other dogs. To animal owners everywhere: please, please, stay away from Paws Penthouse. read more

I have boarded my dog (overnight) several times at Paws Penthouse. It is located in a very convenient neighborhhood nearby my home. The owner, Parisa, has always been friendly to me and caring to my dog. I prefer Paws Penthouse to other places, because my dog gets to be both inside the house, and outside in the backyard. While I am away, I call occasionally to get a status on my dog, and all seems to be going well. I have been going to Paw Penthouse for almost 10 years whenever we take out trips. I read some of the reviews on here and I was kind of surprised. Yes our 3 dogs always come home and they do need a bath. But the dogs are out playing with the other dogs and sleeping with the others dogs so I think that's to be expected. I WAS bringing my dog here just to watch him for a few hours or so. I was always a bit concerned about where exactly my Little baby was staying, it seems he got to be with ALL the dogs BIG and small. Which kinda bothered me because i don't want him to be around HUGE dogs...He is 5 pounds. Anyway since Paris has always been so nice and it was so easy to drop him there, I decided to leave him over night. I had to go away just for a night. When I returned from my quick trip I was running late and called said Id be there in 5 min. I was told its after hours, pick him up next day! Which I was so mad! I mean come on, really! all you had to do was have the usual have the guy bring my dog out. It gets worse, When I pick up my dog, she tries to charge me for 3 days! When I clearly dropped him off on a Saturday and tried to get him Sunday but couldn't. Thank god I had a witness there, that dropped my dog with me. That being said I paid for 2 days. But Boy did she have an attitude when she was trying to get a extra day out of me and I didn't pay that. When running a business CUSTOMERS are always right! That's how you have to treat it. I never taking my dog there again, simply because of her attitude and really not knowing what is REALLY happening with your dog! I am so disappointed. I left my 6 month old tea cup yorkie Chloe for 5 days here while I traveled to St. Louis for a business trip. When I dropped her off there was a discrepancy with honoring the groupon which I really didn't appreciate. When it comes to customer service I felt that the way she explained it was very poor and rude. I ended up paying the extra money and she was still trying to prove and justify her point even after I expressed resolution in what she wanted. #2 I picked Chloe up this morning and I was fighting back tears. Her fur was matted and mangled and she smelled like urine as if she was sleeping in a bed of pee and poop. I couldn't even hug her or play with her when I saw her for the first time I had to take her to the groomers immediately. After 8 hours of traveling this was my first and last time using paws penthouse. When my daughter was younger our biggest challenge was to convince her to leave her dog (Daisy) and cat (Cookie) with someone, for our out of town trips. 2 years ago I was referred to this place by a close friend and ever since we have been using them for our trips. The owner is a true animal lover and the environment is clean and smell less. In 2 different occasion they have got my permission to take care of grooming of our animals upon our arrival with a very reasonable charge. Although, this place is 40 minutes drive from us, but I feel very comfortable to leave our pets with them, because they get similar love and affection that we give them at home. We know it because when we drop of Daisy she can't wait to get inside of the house and play with the owner's dog and is very happy to stay "no complain at all" but when I take her to her doctor or her groomer she doesn't want to get inside and I have to pick her up and take her in.
