This review is for Paws San Clemente. We've had our "Lil' Guy" stay overnight here multiple times and had great experiences! The staff is very caring and the facility is clean. My Shi Tzu really enjoys the individual attention he gets from the cool staff as well as romping with other dogs in their doggie day care. I like knowing that they have someone there 24 hours. We have left our two dogs at Paws numerous times and often for two weeks at a time while on vacation. They take great care of our dogs and are always very kind and professional. Paws is amazing and the staff is great! It's an Awesome place to take your dog for the day or the week or whatever your needs are. The web cam is a little slow but you are able to see your pet while he/she is in the play area. My dog is not a fan of other dogs (snob!...haha) however the staff is awesome at slowly integrating him in the play area. This is the only place I am comfortable leaving my little baby while I'm away. read more

Paws is an amazing place. I adopted my sweet little brownie from them and she has truly been a blessing. They were kind and informative and also they don't go on a first come first serve adoption basis which is great. It ensures they get the best option of owners. I'm so glad they picked us. My husband and I dropped off our 1 year old German shepherd here. At first we loved it. Our dog does not go in the play room and does the one and one because he is a rescue and does not do well with lots of dogs at once. We dropped him off for 3 days while we went out of town. When we picked him up they told us that he was being aggressive with the workers and that the two trainers he loved hadn't been working all day. So, my dog was locked in the little room for most of our trip. When we picked him up he was so depressed and he had peed all over himself and his bed. I was in tears because I felt so guilty for leaving my dog here. I understand if he was being aggressive, but they absolutely should have called us to come pick him up instead of locking him a room all day. For the next few days my dog had a bad kennel cough and was really sick. The only reason I didn't give less than 3 stars is because the trainers were so amazing with him and we got a phone call apologizing. I won't bring my dog here again. My dog was so sad after. It broke my heart. read more

Our dog loves his days at Paws. He socializes with the other dogs and is such a great dog when he gets home. We both work and it's great that he is able to be around people and other dogs who care about him when we can't. If we even start heading in the direction of PAWS or mention it's name, our dog gets super excited. He loves his few days a week he gets with his friends. read more

I would have this place shut down if I could!! They allowed our dog to be bitten!!! We took both of our dogs for a weekend stay at the Paws Pet Resort a week ago. When we picked up our dogs one of them had been bitten....very badly!! Despite our having in depth conversations with the "help"(clearly a lack of helpful person) when we checked in our dogs about keeping our Border Collie safe there with the different sized dog playrooms. We clearly we're ignored! He was picked up with a noticeable problem under his chin that the front desk "help" dismissed our concern with a brush off answer and tried to get us all out as quick as possible. When we took him to the vet later that day he had a deep puncture wound under his chin with the matching puncture wound in his ear. There were another set of bite marks in his ear but thankfully not punctured. Of course they paid the vet bill and refunded our stay but other than that we got zero cooperation, consideration or accountability from this place! I have never encountered such blatant disregard to our dogs well being before/during and after the stay. Please please please read this and reconsider taking your furry family member to this place! read more

I stopped by yesterday during lunchtime. I was inquiring about daycare for my 1 year old Golden Retriever. I was very impressed when I walked in the door as I noticed the cleanliness and lack of odor. Since my dog has never been to doggie daycare and is very shy, I had several questions. It was then that I became annoyed. The girl working the front counter rushed through my questions. Okay fine. So then I asked for a tour to see where my dog would be during her days there. The girl would not do a walk through with me (Ummm, I wouldn't leave my child at a daycare without seeing and touring it same with my sweet golden). Okay fine. I was very put off by this, I politely thanked her, left and will never return. Unfortunate too because they came recommended by a couple friends. I drove right down the street to Camp Bow Wow.... They were lovely, and were beyond accommodating with my questions and even "offered" to give me a tour. We signed up! read more

So lets start off with walking into this place.... it reeeeeeekkkked of dog piss. BAD! I tried to set that a side in my head though trying to give the place some credit. I mean it is a dog day camp and I'm sure there are dogs pissing everywhere all day long. But seriously? Invest in some nature's miracle. ok moving on. I dropped my dog off for a bath. He wasn't staying for camp or anything else...just. a. bath. When I came to pick him up they promptly took him from the play room. As I was opening the door to walk in they were handing him over the fence to leave the play room. So they saw me coming and rushed to take him out probably because they knew that isn't where he was supposed to be... I mean if you groom a dog why would you put him in there to get filthy with the other dogs? I was attempting to get my dog a thorough bath (better than I could probably do) to get fleas off of him (which they told me when I called they could do) so that I could put the preventative on him. Well when I picked him up the first thing I noticed was black all over his paws. And I figured this must have been from filing his nails down? But why not do that first and then a bath to get all the black off his white paws? So I was already greatly annoyed when I saw this. Never the less he smelled good. So I get him home and decided I would try and see if I could spot any fleas on him. So I rolled him over since his belly is the easiest place to find them. To my surprise there were the same flea poopie areas that were there when I took him in!! I decided to smell him to see if he smelled good and maybe they just missed that spot (possible I'm sure on a moving dog). Well surprise he smelled like the same dirty dog I had taken in!!! I continued to smell different parts of him (head and such) and realized it was only right in the middle of his back that smelled good..... so did they bath him in this isolated area???? THESE PEOPLE TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT EVEN GIVE THE SERVICES PROMISED!!! I am soooo ticked off but didn't even want to deal with the confrontation so I just let it slide. I promptly stuck him in the bath and gave him a bath myself since clearly I can do better than a doggie "resort." Maybe I should open my own business!!!! ugh! DON'T GO HERE. They probably don't even do half the things they say they will. read more

Finally found a place to leave my dog during the day and overnight stays when needed. They are exceptionally kind and care for my dog. He's a big boy and I love watching him on the doggie cam. You can see how quick they are to clean up after dogs and there is always one or two in there with the dogs. I highly recommend this place and the prices are fair. What a wonderful staff and facility these guys have!! My foster dog absolutely had the best time. He also recieved some one-on-one training from the trainer, Josh. I never quite understood the whole concept of doggie daycare until I visited and brought my foster dog here. It's really a wonderful thing for dogs with lots of energy who would otherwise be stuck at home all day being bored and getting into mischief. read more

This was our first time boarding our dog, Bella. After having bad customer service at another boarding place, we found Paws Pet Resort on Yelp a few days before we left for our trip & they were able to board Bella last minute. They let Bella come for a doggie day camp day to see how we felt about the place & even let us see where Bella would be staying. We loved watching the doggie cams & how we were able to call & check on our dog a few times a day. Bella is normally a shy dog & is cautious around new people, but she warmed up to Janelle as soon as they met. We saw her playing with other dogs on the cameras & were shocked since she is more of a wallflower. Janelle was so helpful & even made her scrambled eggs one morning & did everything possible to make sure Bella ate her food. We are so lucky to have found an amazing place with an amazing staff & such a warming environment. We are looking forward to bringing Bella for more doggie day camp days. I love Paws. My "son" dumps me to run in as soon as we get out of the car. He enjoys his day trips and overnights. Sometimes I take him there for a day trip just to have some fun, not because I am gone. Of course, then I spend the day watching him on the doggy cam! The best part about Paws is the staff. They love him, remember his name, and are always friendly and accommodating. They know who I am and bend over backwards for us. Tip: daycare of Sat & Sun is only $15. Great time for s break for me on the weekend. He is always pooped when he gets home and very thirsty, but I like that because it makes me think he played hard. Sometimes he even gets to go in the pool!! Great for socialization and I have comfort in knowing that the other dogs have had their shots, are spayed or neutered and aren't aggressive. My only complaint would be that the play space is only indoors. They get walks but are kind of trapped in a big room. read more
