Came in at opening Saturday morning with a Happy Pup, who needed a bath. The shop worker opened the door and showed me all the ropes. Very nice! Everything is clean and correct! They had shampoo & conditioner, ear wipes (all included), towels, warm water, blow dryers, & grooming brushes! Nice hose with sprayer attachments. And while my pup was a bit scared at first, she seemed to settle in rapidly. I had brought a lot of gear with me, which wasn't an issue either. The tubs are great, three available with no waiting, easy to get into for most dogs, and very easy to work with and keep splash to a minimum. Non-slip floors are great! And I loved the heated blow dryers & grooming stands, those are fantastic. Others seemed to be enjoying the experience as well, and before I knew it, my pup was clean and mostly dry. The price for self-wash was very reasonable too ($20 for a 35lb dog). I made sure to clean up my areas before I left, as did everyone else. Definitely want to return.

Self Service: Bathing the anxious Frenchie

My Frenchie gets anxious in certain environments with unfamiliar people & unfamiliar barking dogs. He also doesn't like jarring noises like a hair dryers & doesn't spend much time in crates so this eliminates many groomers. Enter Pawsh. My friend recommended this place & sent pics as she was shampooing her dog who's recovering from surgery. Her pooch needed a bath but the potential groomer had to navigate around his surgical site. Friend decided to use the Self Service option at Pawsh to eliminate the stench & ensure her fur baby's wounds were properly cleaned. My dog & I arrived mid-morning & received a warm welcome. The staff took us back to our assigned space immediately. Pawsh provides everything you need to clean your dog, but you're free to use your products as well. Plus many add ons like trimming or grinding nails are available. Great experience with an engaging staff who genuinely loves animals!!!!

My poodle came in with long...I knew they had to cut it down short. It had matting. When I picked him up they told me he was very calm...however they accidentally cut him on his balls and face. I have never experienced this especially since I have had him cut down short before. I feel so bad for my boy. His demeanor changed and seemed so sad when I picked him up. NEVER AGAIN.

This review is for the self-service dog wash. I've done it 2x and prefer it to the same service offered by Petco Unleashed at two nearby locations. - Parking/Location: Bit better than Unleashed. Unleashed have parking lots and while Pawsh only has street parking, there is enough and the area is quiet and clean, which is nice for a pre- or post- walk. - Availability: Better than Unleashed. Both take walk-ins but Pawsh has more stations (one of which is a little more secluded than the others). More to the point, each tub has its own drying area, preventing the sort of traffic that happens at Unleashed. Pawsh also has a waiting area. - Staff: Better than Unleashed. Both are friendly but Pawsh actively gets you situated. You can see from my photo they offered a platform for my small dog, which was such a relief for my back. - Equipment: Comparable to Unleashed. Water pressure might be weaker at Pawsh but this could be a pro or a con. Probably user error but I have had hiccups with water temperature at both, and I find the drying machine pretty intense at both. Pawsh lets you change the dryer head though, which helps. - Supplies: Bit better than Unleashed. Both have towels, aprons, brushes, and IIRC ear wipes. Pawsh carries large quantities of four types of Earthbath shampoo, though! However, I do miss the teeth cleaning supplies and cotton swabs (for the dryers) at Unleashed. - Cleanliness: Better than Unleashed. It's hard for any place like this to be clean, but Pawsh has been less wet both times I've been and the space is much bigger, which helps with errant fur and such. - Services: Better than Unleashed, as far as I know. There are add-on services you can purchase to supplement your self-service wash, such as a targeted trim or expression. I think you need to call ahead to secure the right staff for these. I'm not aware if Unleashed offers anything similar. - Cost: Depends on size. The service is $17 for a small dog, not including tip, which for the reasons above I believe they deserve. Unleashed is $20 for any size dog.

We love Pawsh! We took our Bernedoodle boy for his first puppy groom at 6 months and he did great! Great prices and staff, clean environment, great location. With this boys needy hair, we'll be coming here regularly, thankful we found this business.

Make sure to inspect your dog 100% when you picking up . Because they don't even bother to let /inform you if there was any incident happened during the grooming . My dog had a clippers cut under his arm . The cut is not small that you could miss it . When called and asked about it , they said we probably missed it. So irresponsible and frustrating.

Mary and her team are incredible. We moved to the area recently and needed to get them groomed (long overdue). She helped educate us on the best ways to groom them, how often and best tools. We will definitely be going back- our pups were happy to be there as well!

Fast & easy! We used Danny and he was really great. The grooming took about an hour and they sent me a text when they were done.

After the terrible groom my partner was told to come back for a they would fix it for free. She scheduled the appointment pointing out that she wanted the complimentary service (see photo) and when I picked her up they told me it was roughly $125. I told them I had a free service and they saw that in the system but that's not what they did. I overheard the lady behind the counter whisper that we were willing to pay the difference even though it is their fault . At that point I was unwilling to pay but my partner was at work and had already paid the entire amount online so that I did not have to have any issues. They reached out to the owner and we were assured that she would reach out to us and fix it. My partner reached out to Jodi (the owner) and she did not respond. This was in February and it is now May. I waited to post this in hope that I wouldn't have to because they would make it right. I understand that the groomer needs to be paid because the work was completed but their mistake shouldn't have been my problem. Oh I forgot to mention how we came about the complimentary service. The original cut was HORRENDOUS (see photo) my partner wrote a review about it and they offered us a complimentary bath and tidy to take it down. She agreed and removed the review(shady). All I want is my partner's money back. This review did not need to be posted but I hate that fact that we were taken advantage of by this business.

We had such a horrible experience and feel a tremendous amount of guilt for trusting that they would take care of our cat. After a short stay, our healthy 1-year old cat was returned to us lethargic and clearly traumatized, with serious episodes of vomiting and diarrhea that ended up in a $2,500 vet hospital stay. A quick business trip turned into an ungodly expense. We were promised an update during his stay as well as a "Pawgresss Report" when we picked him up, but received neither, likely because he wasn't adjusting well and it was easier for them to keep that from us. They didn't even do a basic medical check when we dropped him off, which again was supposed to happen according to their website. I reached out to the hotel manager, Arden, once he was admitted to the vet hospital two days after his stay, and described our experience. She "seemed" very sympathetic and assured me that an incident report would be filed and that someone would get back to me ASAP. Well, here it is 4 days later and I still haven't heard from anyone; I would have thought that they would want, at the very least, an update on his diagnosis/condition to prevent an outbreak at their facility. Nope. Clearly, what they say and what they actually do are at odds. Don't be like me and get caught up in the flowery language used on their website to describe their facility and services; it's all disingenuous, if not patently false. I fear our poor cat will never get over the trauma of his visit at the PetsHotel on Richmond Highway in Alexandria, Virginia
