My HPColorLaserJet had been giving me problems and finally decided to do something about it. This company is right down the street from my business. I reluctantly called because my experience with past printer repair companies is not good. The gentleman that answered the phone asked me a bunch of questions, helped me diagnose the problem, and spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me. Ultimately, he suggested I clean a couple of things and use different cartridges. I told him he should charge me, and he refused. I did what he said and my printer works great. Drove a bit of a distance to get here. But it was definitely worth it! I have a small business and I depend on my printer for everything. Making product, printing out displays. So when My printer was showing me error after error message. I knew I needed to get it fixed. I was almost tempted in getting a brand new printer, But I'm glad I didn't and came here. For a small diagnoses fee that goes towards the repair price. I was able to get my printer back up and fixed. I'm so glad I came here, if I had gotten a new printer it would've been at least 1k to get a new one, but this- less than a 100.00 dollar repair for my specific problem, and my shop was back up and running. Searched for printer repair businesses in San Diego and only found one. I was told by many printers are cheap just buy a new one and toss the old. Wrong our landfill doesn't need another printer. Called PAX Dan Gill 760-480-1136 explained I had an Epson printer that wasn't printing and did all the suggestions on YouTube. Drove 20 mins to Escondido and after listening to Dan on the possible issues and solutions I felt respect for his experience and skills. Great personality too. I sincerely wish I could give 0 stars for the ATROCIOUS service I received at Pax Printers. My experience is as follows: I dropped off my Epson printer more than NINE weeks ago. During that time, the only communication I received about the status of my printer was when I called to check on it myself. Each time I called, I interacted with Dave, a rude and highly disorganized man who repeatedly claimed he was "waiting on parts" to excuse the excessive delay in fixing my printer. After SIX weeks, I called to check the status. Dave indicated he received the parts but had not yet performed ANY work on the printer (again, after SIX weeks). However, he indicated he would fix it by the end of the week, which turned out to be a lie. The end of the week came and went with NO communication from Dave. After week SEVEN, I picked up what I thought was going to be a fully functioning printer, only to receive the same error message for which I originally took it in. Fuming mad, I took it back to Pax and waited an additional three weeks with no communication. When I called to check the status yet again, Dave provided more excuses about "waiting on parts". In total, Dave had my printer in his possession for NINE weeks, which is completely unacceptable. Further, his rude behavior and perpetual excuses soured the entire experience. I will never return to Pax Printers, and I'm honestly perplexed at how this awful company is still in business. read more

I went to Pax because they are the authorized dealer repair for my Epson. We figured out the machine had a bad main controller board and was deemed disposable. However the printer was just about 1 year old and never worked right. Peter at Pax went above and beyond and in the end I have a new printed.
