Although it was fast,…read morecourteous service while waiting and at a good price ($79), one huge negative soured me -- The non-OEM battery installed was poor quality. The charge only lasted half a day which was worse than the old OEM battery that was below 80% capacity. I then went to Apple to try to try to get it replaced with an OEM battery. I was initially relieved that Apple will still service it. However, the usual Apple $99 battery replacement fee only applies to batteries below 80%, even if it's a third-party (after market) battery! Otherwise it will cost $349 at Apple, so I just decided to upgrade my watch to the newest version (Apple Watch 10 as of the time of this writing). It really sucks that iSquad's cheap battery led me to having to get a new Apple Watch sooner than I wanted to (and having to give up the O2sat sensor feature! (No longer available on newer Apple Watches). You get what you pay for!

The gentleman on the phone said we can do a work around By putting the phone in "Repair Mode" I believed he said we could use Face ID. I was in the area and stopped in. Wayne was there and he's friendly , helpful and thorough. My phone was to the point of shutting down , not responding , getting hot. A multitude of issues. Wayne checked my battery health and it was at 73%. He explained any reading under or at 80% indicates a battery problem. The quote was $139. It was higher than other repair shops here on Yelp (using yelps project message blast function ) but the convenience factor 1 mile from home and ease of dropping it off made it totally worth it. Wayne advised it'll be done in an hour. I left the phone went home and was surprisingly notified in 40min it was done. I'm very happy with the service. Wayne did go into detail about helping me with my Apple play as it was failing. Advised it may not be the phone causing it and getting a new cord may fix it. After market cords are known to fail after a period of use. Not lasting as long as original equipment. I'm very happy with their service and repair. Very relieved as I don't want to get a big iPhone to replace my mini. My iPhone is back and running smoothly.

They would not take the phone without the serial number. The agent would not open the phone to get the serial number out of it as the phone was non-functional. I did not have the box. They told me it was my problem and I had to call asurion. This was ridiculous since they were the asurion representative. If I had simply claimed that the phone was lost or stolen I would have had no problem because of my honesty. I then had to deal with Verizon and the asurion company myself. The agent claimed that they didn't make any money on the insurance claims. Why would they even use the Asurion? branding?

Such is the case here - over the phone I was told to come by and show them my busted up iPad and was assured that whatever the issue was, they could fix it. Fast forward an hour later, (it literally took me 15 minutes of driving and walking back and forth on the street to find this place as it's basically a rented room at the top of a staircase of a commercial building), I was informed that my iPad is dead and that it should be used as a coaster or paperweight. Look, I understand a car mechanic cannot accurately diagnose a vehicle electronically or telephonically as accurately as they can if they can see the car in person and of course when it comes to an iPad with a cracked screen and water damage that won't power on, it would be ideal for a repair person to physically inspect it before diagnosing the issue so please don't tell me over the phone that you can fix something and then smugly state that it's beyond repair. Also, I appreciate that you want to keep your overhead low but FFS don't do business out of what is basically a bedroom with shit everywhere and a dog sitting around begging to be anywhere but there. This place is super inconvenient to get to with a super unprofessional "store" and super creepy vibes. All said, I disagreed with Sheldon's diagnosis so decided to call A to Z Wireless (which coincidentally enough is right down the street in an easy to see and enter store) and while no promises were made over the phone or in person, the owner fixed my iPad and is now working just as it did before I dropped it in a jacuzzi. So yeah...don't recommend this dude at all but highly recommend A to Z. Enjoy.

Travis did what he said he would do, to get my laptop up and running again. In fact , he went 110% and did additional work to make it run better and more safely. High Customer Satisfaction score for Travis and I.H.C., as he completed the job On Time (within 24 hours) and for a reasonable charge (same as the estimate he originally gave me over the phone). Most impressive was his approach to solving the issue - virus removal that locked my computer up. He successfully removed just the virus without having to wipe the system clean and reinstall it all. He did just what needed to be done and nothing more, to minimize any potential disturbance to another part of the system. I spoke with several businesses listed on Yelp, before I selected I.H.C. Some followed the "wipe clean" approach and said it would take 1 to 2 weeks because of their backlog. Others, to be fair, described a similar approach to Travis', but they cautioned they wouldn't know for sure until they evaluated it, so the cost might go up. I like that Travis is the person you speak with and that he does the work, which is not the case at a "big box" store with a production line service philosophy. He has a calm, professional demeanor that gives a customer confidence he knows what he is talking about. And he delivered, as promised. I recommend and would use his services again. read more

If you have a custom mac/hackintosh that needs fixing/help etc Travis at I Hate Computers is your guy. I couldn't find anyone around San Diego who knew what a hackintosh was let alone someone who had the expertise and knowledge to fix one. I called him up, presented my issue, he completely knew what I had and fluidly and confidently conveyed his ability to fix it. Travis got my hackintosh back up and running without any loss of data. I was having all kinds of problems with my imac when I brought it out of storage and travis was able to log in remotely and fix all of them! I couldn't connect to the apple store, couldn't upgrade my OSX, couldn't back up any of my files or get my wacom tablet to connect. Super helpful and friendly, great customer service. Was able to replace the DVD driver in my Mac book, and reset the password on an old PC with out losing any of the data. Fast forward to about a month ago where I closed my laptop lid and CRACK - something happens where basically the bezel, back over, and hinge gets damaged to the point where it looks like I ripped it apart when I open my laptop back up. Tried to fix it and somehow made it worse by messing up the screen and man, I've done my fair share of taking computers apart before but I wasn't going to mess with my laptop after this series of unfortunate events. Cue Eric! I reached out to a couple of repair guys for a quote and Eric gave me the best one AND the hope that my laptop could be saved (I had a couple others tell me it wasn't worth the fix; mind you, my computer itself worked fine still - I just had to plug in an external monitor to get anything productive done). He was timely with messages, and even let me know that some parts were missing for repair and ordered it for me. His quote was reasonable in comparison to the cost of a brand new laptop and now that I've had it back for a couple weeks; I can honestly say it feels brand new. Appreciate his quickness and his expertise, would definitely come back for any silliness I encounter with computers down the road. Thanks, Eric!
