    I actually still like Target even tho they have done a few things that I didn't like since 2024…read more However, I also want to avoid using Amazon as much as possible. Right after my misadventure and frustration at another nearby store, I ended up at this Target. It's a large Target with a good sized grocery area, clean including the restrooms, a Starbucks and a pharmacy. The beauty/personal care product area of the store is fairly large. I miss having Ulta here, but oh, well. Even tho this store is fairly busy, they don't have whole aisles of products locked up, unlike a nearby competitor. I found what I wanted and plan on coming back when I have more time. I stopped over in the grocery area, where Francis who may have been working as a Target personal shopper filling someone's list, asked me if I needed help finding something. It's so nice to feel seen in a store. As a senior, I sometimes don't feel that way. As I was going back to the registers, I noticed other employees asking people if they needed help finding things - one even walked a shopper over to the area that had what she needed. I feel like in what seems to be a stressful time in the world and in many of our lives, with increased prices and conflict. I will still choose to go shopping in an actual store if possible, especially a store with good customer service and unlocked nail polish remover. I just wish that Target would again have products that supported the LGBTQ and black communities. Even tho I am a straight old white lady, I still bought some of those products.

We used to go to Target all the time, but stopped because they rolled back DEI initiatives. This Target is definitely better than the other Targets in the area so would go here if you need to go to . Was able to get the book for 20% off which was nice. They have eliminated a lot of workers I feel like with the automated checkout areas, but that is the way the world is changing. I try to go to a human cashier whenever possible. Human connection helps us be better people and it might save their job. The book is great btw. It's a mix between Ready Player One and Hunger Games.

    I am a Make A Wish wish granter and today I had a wish kid come into the store to get an Apple…read morewatch that was on his list. I had called ahead to check out the lay of the land and chatted with Anthony, one of the managers, he made me feel reassured ahead of time that our Wish kid was going to get a great experience. This morning I came into the store to wait for wish kid and met with Anthony, Brian, Maddie and Carlos. We discussed what kind of entrance my wish kid would like. I was appreciative that the employees were willing to go all out to welcome our 9 year old kid into the store (applause, doors opening etc). But ultimately we decided that wouldn't be value added for our kid, so we went with the low key option. When our kid got to the store Maddie had the exact model of the watch our kid was interested in ready to go and they had Carlos dedicated to helping our kid get his phone set up. I could tell that Carlos has helped many people with their products with the way that he gave clear and easy directions and had a lot of patience. What a great experience. The vibe…read moreof store was little busy but I've been to many Apple stores state wide there was always someone who greeted you even during holidays seasons when it's busier, this store nope no greeting. I found the case rack had an idea of what wanted was probably looking the cases for good 15 minutes no one asked me if i needed helped. I tried looking for anyone that could help me but everyone was busy and looking for someone who was finishing up with apple employee. They would offer assistance to people coming in after me it got to the point where I had to interrupt someone so I could give yall my money and leave! While at the store another customer kept asking me for assistance as if I'm an Apple employee I was not wearing anything that they issue Apple employees my shirt had Disneyland across the front and obviously no name tag. My overall experience here was weird and felt unwelcomed. Staff were extremely unhelpful which is concerning bc there's was at least 20 people on the floor. Now what really makes this experience a full home run is the case they sold me has to be fake in matter of week my case start forming air bubbles on the sides and was deteriorating and I'm not dropping my phone regularly or anything rough to warrant this condition. My mom has the same case for her phone and when I got case from different location the quality of the case felt so much more authentic. Would not recommend this location they seem to have a very particular preference in their clientele. May not get any assistance and or assumed your the help if don't look like their preferable demographic. Due to a personal emergency I could not return the case and I was stopping by for a quick trip wish I went somewhere else.

One thing I especially appreciate is their electronics and appliance recycling program. It's incredibly easy and convenient. I just bring my items to customer service, let them know I'm there to recycle them, and they take care of the rest. They even provide a receipt. It couldn't be simpler. I've also had great experiences with the staff and Geek Squad. When my parents needed a new TV, I hired them to deliver and install it. They were patient, professional, removed the old TV and mount, and did a perfect job mounting the new one. The whole process was stress free. Between the helpful employees, fair prices, convenient recycling services, and excellent Geek Squad support, this has become my go to Best Buy location.

    Today marks the worst interaction I've ever had with a retailer in my 40+ years of consciousness…read more Here's the recap: I recently bought a tablet from a Best Buy (BB) competitor, but I saw a better tablet on BB's website that was an open box. I returned the first tablet and immediately went to the San Marcos BB to buy the open-box. The item was cosmetically fine, and the box had "Inspected by Best Buy" stickers on it. Great, so far. I got the tablet home and charged, but when I went to do the initial setup, the tablet was *still logged in by the previous owner!* So much for "inspected." I performed a factory reset and tried again. Nope, factory reset protection meant I still needed the previous owner's credentials. I called Geek Squad (GS) and they assured me they could handle it. I drove BACK to the store, only to be told the tablet could be returned or exchanged. Seemingly annoyed with the most basic form of customer service, the 20-something redhead GS member told me two stores with comparable open-box items. So later, I drove to *another* BB store, only to be told they could not locate the item. Wow. Ok, I'll take the credit on a gift card, since my debit card would take days to clear a refund. In the BB parking lot, I used the gift card to order a comparable (but out-of-area) open-box item from their website, then I drove an hour home. When I got home, I had an email that the order was canceled because they could not locate the item at yet another store! Now there's no tablet and no money left on the gift card. I talked to four different overseas CS reps, telling the story four different times, only for them to tell me they will investigate and then mail out another gift card in 2-4 business days. Today is Wednesday and I need the tablet this weekend. Four business days means, maybe, next Tuesday. That's fitting, I guess. See You Next Tuesday! I'll waiting at the front door of my bank in the morning, and filing an immediate charge-back for the $300 that has vanished into the ether. This is completely unacceptable for any retailer, let alone one of BB's size. I'll do everything in my power to avoid shopping at this chain, ever again. Say Hi to Circuit City for me
